So its Sunday here already ? Sunday afternoon to be precise and it looks like we are all ticking along- some having a lot of fun and making the most of the weekend. As it should be.

I am huddled inside today with a sore throat and achy joints ? just what I need for a full-on week ahead at work. Can?t take any time off work tomorrow as there are things I have to do where there is no-one who can replace me at short notice. I am sure all will be fine and nothing some good make-up can't disguise! :l Not exactly something to be grateful for - but for those who have soldiered on for years nursing hangovers, feeling yukky or whatever from AL - we usually know how to keep the show on the road. So what's a sore throat - (especially when you have to speak for a few hours :H)?

Although I am starting the thread I haven?t really got anything much to say (for a change! and I am saving my voice:H) ? so I will leave it at that and see what pops up when you all say hello.

SUNDAY 6 JULY

Hi all
TT, yEs it's Sunday here and very lazy day.. I'm looking forward to going to Phnom Penh tomorrow.. I went there about 20 years ago and it was quite a transforming experience, the relics of Pol Pot and that whole assault on the population, all the kids with missing limbs yet still grinning collecting empty coke cans. Wow..I had the most humbling experience of seeing the purest joy I've ever seen on the face of a 10 year old boy with only one arm as he won a go cart race in a local neighborhood.. Very powerful..
Anyway.... Fast forward to today and I'm going with my son to be 9 year old boy who seems to have a very low boredom threshold so not sure how it's going to be this time!!

But it will be my first sober holiday.. I have tried to put some plans in place eg, I'm staying in a hotel that has 40 different varieties of tea, don't think they have booze. Also, I feel much stronger being 40 days af then last time I went to NZ when I had only been sober about 2weeks. The other thing is I'm really determined to have fun with my boy, I have more energy to do things with him

Morning all
good market yesterday, sold lots, never know what to except on holidays. Gotta full day ahead of random chores. Many directions, so little time.

How's you be TT, sometimes there really ain't much to say, but glad you started the day here. I find that I often don't have squat to say yet make sure I check in daily to be keep myself connected to how great it is staying sober

Patrice, that's pretty powerful seeing simple joy from someone who has suffered in such a way. Good on you and your focus to have enjoyable sober holiday.

Mick, How's it going? enjoying your vacation? Looking forward to seeing to seeing some pics if you're taking them.

Hi TT - sorry you are sounding sick, not good! And was happy it was still Saturday back then - Sunday now
Patrice - just fine for it to be all about you - good planning for an AF holiday, mine comes next month and glad to have some time behind me to make it stick. Have plan to walk on beach early every morning and that will happen if I go to bed sober!
Hi Sam, Lav, PPQ and Mick - glad all seem to be having a good weekend, even in muggy weather.
Det - hope the house situation not causing too much stress. Pauly - sure you will nip in soon.
