Good morning all, such wonderful posts!

Star, I especially thank you for the positivity in your. It is truly inspirational. I hope your son finds out what is going on. Specialists are good at their specialties perhaps but not so much if the problem lies elsewhere.

Cyn, you are right about getting ready for the winter. It seems to be coming on so suddenly! I'm not ready for it yet!

Lav, I wish I could get your son to pick up the phone and call you! Maybe you should call him when he is at work and see if he can talk or meet you in some neutral location to see what is going on with him.

Pauly, I feel for you and your daughter. Such a tough time. Prayers and hugs to you.

Tonight is the Black Moon but it looks like we will be under a layer of clouds. No stargazing for me! Darn. Let's all go for an AF Friday together.:heartbeat:
    Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

      Morning all -

Congrats on 40 days, Star! Wow, that time seemed to go fast. Good for you for your resolution to live in health - you sound so strong. (PS - I don't know if your son would be open to it, but you could check with a reputable body worker who does cranial/sacral work - sometimes releasing the cranium and opening up the muscles in the head and neck can promote sinus health.)

Pauly - just think - for MOST of the past year, you have not been actively drinking. Build on that! You have proven to yourself that you can do it, so you can believe in yourself. There is always a way for long-term sobriety - you will find it. So sorry for all the emotions your family is going through - I hope you can hang onto yourself through all of this, even as you support Kell. Sending you strength.

Lav - I am visualizing a flower opening up - a 'breakthrough'. Sending it your way.

Dill - how is the weather there? Windy, windy, and cold here! The animals seem to love our property this year - we have daily parades of wild turkeys, and 4 doe(s) that are enamored of something here... I keep running out to scare them off, but they just look at me with those big eyes as if to say 'Hi Human!' 'Look, she's waving at us!' Finally I have to get the dogs to go out and bark and run them off - I don't want them to think that they should trust humans! Not with hunting just around the corner. I'm being extra careful when I drive, too.

Happy AF Friday to all -

            Good evening friends,

The rain seems to have stopped but it's still very cloudy so no star gazing here either.
Today is our son's 10th wedding anniversary. Normally we offer to watch the boys so they can go out to celebrate. Normally I have a card & gift for them. Nothing is normal this year & I just have to accept that. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow since my DIL's blow up. Not like I'm counting days or anything

Star, great work & congrats on your strong commitment! I swear that's what got me thru the early days & even times like now. It's more important for me to maintain my quit & my dignity & my health & everything else!!! There is no place for AL in my life.

Dill, calling our son would pretty much put him into a position of having to choose between her & us. We just don't want him to do that. I know he will contact YB when he knows what to say about all this. That's the way those two work things out.
I hope your weekend is fun, restful or a combination of both!

Cyn, someone hit a deer right around the corner from us a few days ago. I hate seeing those poor things lying by the side of the road for days on end.
They are lovely to watch but I don't want them dropping ticks where we could pick them up. YB had Lyme disease years ago & he was a damn mess. I am enjoying the sudden arrival of cooler weather, yay!

Pauly, I hope today went OK for you & Kell. Remember, we are always with you in spirit.

I think we need to insert Optimism into October's thread - what do you all think?
            Wishing everyone a peaceful night!
