    OOooooh Rooooo ABeroooos!

PPQ, after another super rush day replete with very sore fingers.hands I'm happy to say I'm going to meet tomorrow's deadline
with ease. whew! thankfully I'll be helping interview a new hire this coming Wed so I hope she works out as I need the help.
    Your dinner plan sounds yummo.

Mick, you surely don't want to be following in our countries lead. we have approx 800 military bases all over the world. No other nation acts
in this manner...it's insanity and this empire will soon crumble I say. sorry, that's pretty gloomy but I call'em like I see'em.

Buddy of mine gave me a few pounds of wild Alaskan salmon last night so that's what I'll be celebrating with this weekend

hmmm a sudden craving for Greek spanikopita. have to see if I have phyllo dough in the freezer..... mebbe I'm preggers? unlikely I spose.

so off to invent something Greekish for dinner.. Gnight loves

      Good evening Abbers,

Yep, the cooler air has arrived as promised!
The only problem is I woke up with a head cold, yuck. My son-in-law & daughter both had something brewing when they were here on Sunday. I never pick up other people's germs, geez.

Mick, we have more of those ;'just in case piles' around here than you would believe, haha!!! Sometimes that stuff actually get used but more often it just sits

Det, it feels like Fall, the real Fall now, yay!!!
I hope you are resting up after all that hard work.

Pauly, we all know that people will go to great lengths to hide their substance abuse. They always think they're doing such a great job of hiding it but they're not. I hope that girl comes to her senses before it's too late for her.

PQ, you had perogies & didn't invite me, damn
I actually enjoy making them a few times per year, my daughter makes them better than I do, almost Together we figured out how to make them dairy free & even gluten free if we need to.

Hello to the rest of the crowd. I am going to try to put myself to bed a little earlier than usual. This cold is wearing me down already.
      Have a nice night everyone!

hiya ppqp...wow sounds like that "boss"is well in cahoots with that programme co-ordinator..Isuspect you aint a lets have a meeting about the meeting kind of person...Im afraid I dont think I would be able to keep my mouth shut..Intersting your answer about the politics ....the polls say ..and the words dont like appear ..I suspect if the were the words used to describe 45 that would be a huge plus...hope you have a great you weekend sod the work ....

Mae everybody, Mick I hope Panda is ok,I've always had terrible luck with bunnies, they're just so fragile! I had one have a heart attack during a thunder storm,,I should have brought him in the house that day but I didn't know PQ,hubs is grilling this Sunday so I'm making your baked potato salad!! Small batch though so I don't pig out too much, last time I ate so much of it I was uncomfortable but it was too good to stop,we'll see what's up with my friend,I think she's in denial about being on drugs to herself cuz she has fibromyalga and is in pain but the pills are her husbands and when she runs out she buys them so to me that's abusing, off to make my brekkie cuz my hubs isn't as sweet as Mick haha much love to all and wishes for a nice AF Friday,,Mick keep us posted.
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

            Good evening Abbers,

Geez Mick, I hope Panda is OK.
Dragging myself around today & even granted myself permission for a granny nap this afternoon. It helped with the cold related headache but I hope I can still sleep tonight.

Det, sounds like you'll be up to your ears in salmon this weekend, good for you!

Pauly, your co-worker is already breaking the law by taking someone else's Rx. There are better meds on the market for fibromyalgia that she should be talking to a doctor about. Opiods are not meant for long term use. No one ever makes me breakfast either Pauly so you are in good company, ha ha!

Hello to the rest of the crew & wishing everyone a nice night. Day 2 of my head cold is done & dusted, yay.

              Re: w/c 24th

Det...look at you, already interviewing new hires. Guess you haven't heard anything about the other job yet.

Lav...sorry, your definitely on the invite list for next time. I do not like making perogies. Our caterers are all Ukrainian so why should I bother. LOL

Mick...think the re-think is wise. LOL Did the weather improve? How did the vet visit go. I don't like the sounds of what's happening with Panda. One day I was watching my son's horse walk down the field one day and his front end would go in one direction and the back end another. Got the vet out and I don't remember what it was but the humane thing to do was put him down.

Pauly...thanks for the reminder on the baked potato salad, I haven't had it for awhile. Living with chronic pain is hard but your coworker is playing a dangerous game. Hope you had a good day.

Called MIL Wednesday night to see how she was doing and found out that the Dr. had called and said she wants to see her. I said when did she call and MIL said oh last week sometime. I gave her shit and said she had to call me when things like that happen. So Saturday will see me sitting at the walk in clinic again. Planning on going early so we don't have to sit there for 3 hours. Snow forecast for Sunday night into Monday morning. Of course, that's when I have to go for my echo cardiogram. Then up the double digits on Tuesday. It figures! Have a peaceful evening all....:smile:PPQP

Xpost Lav...hope you get a good rest and shake the head cold soon.

Mae everybody,Mick happy Panda is doing ok,at least you know the meds the other vet gave are a no go! PQ,I know it's a pain to be at the docs with her with what seems like every week but I'm happy she has you to take her some of the elderly people who come in my shop have to wait around for someone to give them rides for things like groceries, haircuts, docs ,etc,it's kind of sad to be old with no family around I would think,Det,enjoy your salmon,I wish I could love it cuz I know it's good for you but bleh I'm just not a fish girl, much love to all and hopes for a peaceful AF Saturday

                    MAE ALL....

Mick...wow, glad you went to the specialist vet. How can the other vet be so wrong! Hope Panda is doing better.

Pauly...thanks. It does feel like I've been running her around every weekend for awhile now.

We were 2nd in line at the clinic right when it opened at 10am. Unfortunately the Dr. didn't show up till 10:30! Still consider myself lucky with only a 45 min wait. The result was that her cholesterol was a little high and she needs to eat more fruit & veg, no meds prescribed. We did get another prescription refill while we were there so she's good Doc wise till January when we'll do blood work again.

Special weather statement for Calgary, high north winds with rain/snow starting tonight into tomorrow. Picked up all my groceries on the way home so I can hunker down here and not go anywhere. Hope you all have a Super Sober Saturday.....:smile:PPQP

                      Good evening Abbers,

PQ, I can't believe your weather forecast, geez! I hope it turns out to be a minor event after all.
It is nice that you can help your MIL, bless you

Mick, sorry you had to go thru all that drama with Panda. I hope everything works out OK. Will be thinking of all of you

Pauly, our county here actually runs a van service the older folks can use for trips to the doctor & groceries. I see the vans all over the place. The drivers have a lot of patience, helping people out of their homes, waiting while they walk slowly with their walkers, etc.

Det, I hope you had a good day & plenty of fish to eat

Not much going on here, just dog sitting but the weather is nice & cool. Absolutely nothing to complain about, ha ha!
                      Have a nice night everyone!

                        Re: w/c 24th

MAE. Yes, it is very difficult to get rides as a senior citizen with no car. When I was in WA state I used to drive many snrs to their appts. it was very rewarding. They also had an ace senior center.

Peggy is doing so much better. She has been very hungry, more than usual, so just going along. I have an app called Nextdoor and people post all kinds of assistance, etc. There was a post today about a local shelter whose dogs have reached their temporary stay quota. I think they are about to be euthanized. I've chosen a 10 yr. old black lab with a grey muzzle. I'll have to ask about his history because he might need vet visits. I look at the dogs without looking at their eyes, b/c then I'm hooked. There are much younger dogs, but they go quickly.

Sometimes I think life was much simpler before this current electronic age. Today ATT&T was supposed to hook me up with tv. I haven't watched in a year but Vivian says, "Nana, direct tv" before she leaves. I think the bloom is off the rose regarding the fairy garden. It's been fun and her imagination has been great to see, she may be ready for a break from it. It was a very expensive endeavour. Back to AT&T my appt, was 12 noon to 4:00 pm. The tech never arrived and customer service told me that time was never put in the system. I then spent almost 30 minutes listening to their gibberish before I said "hold on", just book me another appt. So 4 hrs and 30 minutes wasted.

Det, my husband was a very good fisherman and always fished for King salmon in the spring. I think I must have 20-0 recipes on how to cook it. I think my faves included citrus glazes.

Mick, I hope the bunnies are ok.

PPQ, I'm sure your MIL appreciates everything you do. It's a puzzle as to why she doesn't share more with you. Maybe she doesn't want to trouble you.

Lav, I'm glad the weather is cooler for you.

Pauly, that is sad about your co-worker. I heard buying those pills cost a fortune.

Hi to everyone I have missed.
