    Re: July 7th

    Mae all -
Quick checkin, as I will shortly be on nurse duty with hubs... the dog got me up and out early, so i’m Sending you all best regards...

Mick, congrats on the trek!!! So impressive, and thx for the pics - it looks magical, though i’m sure it didn’t feel that way! Good luck getting ready for your trip and next trek.

Lav, that storm sounded like a scary one, sheesh; I wish you some cool dry days and No More Snakes!!!

Pauly, amazing that you felt that shake - scary. I hope that you find a way to do some exploring out and about... it can be fun.

PPQ, so sorry your body is rebelling against the change in timing your meds... hope that all works out! How’s the garden going? Smooshed by the rain like Lav’s?

Sam, nice of you to help out with the farmers market in the heat... try to stay cool!

Det, awesome pics! So glad to hear that you have your “go” kit ready. I realize that we should make one for residence here in the mountains - trees everywhere, we should be ready for anything. Hmmmm, must work on that.

Hubs is still suffering... I’m running out of options to help him... we went to the ER, but it’s a bad virus,.. (so my diagnosis was correct!). Trying to keep his spirits up... he has a ton of work ahead of him...

Wishing all a great AF day —

      Re: July 7th

MAE ALL...and the winner for dinner last night was a chicken stir fry. LOL

Det...so why exactly is your back sore? :haha: Your panoramic photo is super but I especially like the one of the 2 hikers!

Mick...I hope the peskies are safely ensconced in their holiday home. There's a big word for you eh? So which squaddie were you? LOL No cards today, had to deal with a finicky software install and of course had to leave by noon. I do plan on spending tomorrow afternoon playing though.

Pauly...so that settles it, when you me and Det get together we'll meet at Red Rock. LOL My twin suffered from allergies when she was living in the states and always made me bring Reactine when I visited. Have you tried that? Hope you can find something that works.

TG...yup it's the new gardening, smooshing! Just what you needed after all your traveling, a trip to the ER. Hope you can work some magic and get hubs feeling better.

Lav...waves to you, you'll probably be posted just above me when I finish.

Not doing any cooking tonight. Told the boys dinner was up to them. Have a great evening all...:smile:PPQP

        Re: July 7th

        Good evening all,

Running a bit late tonight, we had a community meeting to attend. It seems that a county land conservatory group has purchased a 180 acre property on our road & has plans to turn it onto a nature & wildlife preserve. They want to have a parking lot for up to 15 cars & there probably will be lighting involved & walking trails installed. This is worry us locals who live on this narrow, unlit country road. All of a sudden there’s going to be traffic here? We have no local PD to patrol the area & anything could happen back there so we went & voiced our concerns. We shall see what happens.

Det, your pics are awesome! You & your girlfriend look like a match to me
I hope the quakes settle down out there, that makes me nervous to say the least!

Mick, I hope your bunnies have fun at bunny camp while you are away, haha!
You pics are amazing as well & I’m sure you will be taking loads more in the coming days!
Weather was not too hot today but tomorrow heatwave #3 begins with ? Days of 90 degrees or greater with tons of humidity. Yuck!

Pauly, I hate to say this but the you probably should make an appointment to see an allergist. I think your allergies need to be treated by a specialist. OTC stuff is not helping obviously so give it some thought. Even if you end up having to get allergy shots for a while I think it’s worth a shot.

Cyn, good to see you. Sorry your husband is still sick. Sometimes viral illnesses can hang around for quite a while unfortunately.
Hang in there, I’ve been thinking about you
No snake sightings today but there’s always tomorrow, haha!

PQ, you beat me here fair & square tonight!
I hope your sons brought you something tasty for dinner.

Hello to everyone else & have a nice night all!

          Arf! Arf! ABeroooooos!

heya gang, good stuff mostly I see, except Treegirl having to play nurse... it's a good thing us guys have gals to
take care of us. We aren't always great at it for sure.

Pauly, sorry you don't get out to adventure like you want to. Maybe just tell him yer running to the store, then come back 5 hours later in hiking boots
          with a nice tan

Mick, those pics and your area are lovely.. I really dig how green it is there. I really like all different types of natural scenery.
must say though i about had a seizure trying to read the text on that stone placard... Gaelic?

Lav, hope the locals can get a fair say in that new project.

PPQ, back was sore (better now) from rollerskating of all things... just a very different movement for me. Good to dice things up a bit though.
stir-fry sounds great. Hope the boys don't burn down the kitchen tonight!

a very good work day here i'm happy to say. Productive and mellow. May they stay that way!

have a fantabulous snooze one and all and of course, be well

            Re: July 7th

            morning all
            looks like another hot one.
Lav, how's the snake visitor? I might be repeating a story, but a couple weeks ago I found a smaller snake all caught up in some blueberry netting I had stored away, and cut it out, it took a bit of doing, anyway, I hope when it grows up, it will remember me and leave my eggs alone, yeah, right.

Mick, looks like a wonderful out of the way adventure. looks so open and desolate. Speaking of desolate, Det, where were you on your hike? Also, wasn't there someone here that was into roller derby? Can't remember the name.

Pauly, whenever I hear or read the word allergies, I itch. I hope it gets sorted out for you. My wife is very allergic to mold, and boy do we have it around here. She's also a smoker, which I believe doesn't help her.

PQ, what was for dinner? hope they brought you something delish.

TG, how's it going? hope your husband is doing better.

well off to work, have a luverly day everyone.

The new church I've started is doing brilliantly, mainly because we welcome all denominations.

Fives, tens, twenties, whatever they've got.

People that practice for staring competitions need to take a good long look at themselves in the mirror.

              thought of the day

Each time you light your lighter your lighter gets lighter until your lighter gets so light it wont light

Got home to find my wife had left a note on the fridge that said "This isn't working I'm going to my mum's."

I opened up the fridge. The light was on and the beer was cold. I'm not sure what she was talking about.

I was having dinner at my girlfriend's house for the first time.

"Can I use your bathroom?" I asked.

"Sure, but could you use the can of air freshener?" said her mother jokingly.

Really strange, but I managed to fit all the poo into the bottle.

                Good evening friends,

Just wanted to drop in for a minute before I take my grandson home. He’s been hanging out with me all day, at his request
He will be turning 11 in November, how time flies!

Mick, wishing you a fabulous & safe trip!
YB was fine at the docs yesterday if that was what you were asking.

Sam, we seem to have all sizes of black snakes visiting our chicken house. They freak me out even if they aren’t dangerous.
I imagine a mold allergy is difficult with all this damp weather we’ve been having, ugh.

Hello to Det, Pauly, Cyn & anyone else dropping by.
                Have a nice night!

                  MAE ALL...

Lav...your turn to beat me. I'm glad you went to voice your concerns, as opposed to some thinking someone else will do something about it. Working at the community centre we receive all notifications of development permits for our neighbourhood and believe me things can get fired up. Sons treated me to steak sandwiches yesterday. YUM. Sounds like the checkup for YB went ok, good to hear.

Det...ok, yeah sure, roller skating. LOL I hate to admit, being a Canuck and all, I prefer roller skating to ice skating. LOL

Sam...yup, dinner was delish! Guess it's my turn tonight. So did you name the snake you rescued? How else can you say now "Bert" remember when.... It was a coolish day here but I think Lav sent her humidity this way.

Mick...I can't believe you're packed! A day early! I hope you're sound asleep for your early wake up. Felt much better today, must have been a bit of a flare up. Like they say no donation is too small. I bet you guys raised a pretty penny. Sounds like you made good use of your 6 days of R&R while in training. Hit all the hot spots including the Stampede, which is going on right now. Hydraulic Oil!!! and I thought I was bad using Baby Oil. Glad your feet have heeled and I hope you have a great time. Be safe.

Shout out to the rest of you. Have a great night...:smile:PPQP

                        evening greeting ABerooos!

Mick, no sleep eh? I get night like that and they can be torture. now I put on meditation podcasts if that happens and it does seem to
help even if sleep doesn't come.

Lav, boys and snakes... what a combo. hope the lad wasn't a terror for you like some of your past experiences.

PPQ, well I have (shuffles feet...looks sheepish) yoinked my back during our more enthusiastic __________ sessions although I'm glad to find
out they generally fix whatever is wrong with my back, so I'd call that very good therapy. and my therapist just departed after a lovely therapy
visit tonight. Happy tired dude here

Steak sandwich sounds grand...haven't had one in ages.

wow Mick, you are king of the early starts

simple kale/turkey/tomato/cucumber/greek olive/garlic/oregano salad tonight. it's too hot here for
anything but salads these days. whew!

of to continue learning about laying out graphics for printing T shirts for my new side-hustle experiment here.

                        be well loves

                          Happy Thursday evening Abbers,

We just had another 2” of rain dumped on us & we didn’t even order any, haha!!!
I heard on the news yesterday that Pennsylvania & New Jersey had more than 65” of rain June 2018 to June 2019. We are WET!
As soon as the rain stops everyone runs out to cut the overly lush grass - ridiculous. And it remains hot & humid, ugh.

Mick, saw your first pics of Crete, cool! Thanks!
Have a wonderful time & stay safe.

PQ, I used to love a good cheese steak back in the day. These days it would cause me too much grief I’m afraid. Glad the guys treated you well.
YB left the house extra early today to have fasting bloodwork done before picking up his Amish customer & hauling a trailer load of veggies to the produce auction. That surprised me because he usually will put that off for months. I guess he has ‘woken’ up a little after the melanoma stuff. Getting his attention can be EXTREMELY difficult, haha!

Det, try to enjoy yourself without wrecking you back un the future
I have always had a heat press in my shop to apply designs to Ts & sweatshirts. I had designs screen printed for me by a company. Sometimes I printed the designs myself & pressed them on but that kills your printer ink pretty fast. Come to think of it I should use up the remaining designs I have in stock, they’ve been sitting around for quite a while. This is the company who printed most of my designs: The Best in Custom Transfers | Versatrans
Maybe you can get in touch with them & see what they can do for you

Hello to Pauly, Cyn & Sam & anyone else checking in.
                          Have a nice night everyone!

                                Well then, Friday it is
It’s still 92 degrees here at 7 pm but the humidity has dropped quite a bit so I can sit on the deck & watch the hummingbirds attack the feeders.
I’m concerned about NOLA & hurricane Barry getting close. I just heard the Mississippi river is already higher than it’s ever been before & the storm hasn’t reached the coast yet. I hope it doesn’t turn into another Katrina event like in 20005
Nothing big going on here, finishing up my stuff for next weekend’s craft fair (or at least I’m trying), LOL

Mick, i hope you are having tons of fun & not getting sunburned.

Sam, hot down your way too I imagine.
I am getting close to offering my two broody girls to our Amish friend, they’re driving me nuts. They are mad because I put them out & won’t let them back into the chicken house. They take up 2 nest boxes just sitting there doing nothing. One of them today tried to attack my dog. The dog just looked at her & walked away, haha! Then she tried pecking the back of my leg but backed off when i growled at her. Stupid chickens.

Pauly, what are you up to?

PQ, Amazon is delivering Christmas stockings to me tomorrow - wow!

Det, what have you come up with for your T shirt biz?

Cyn, hope you are all recovered now!

Have a nice night one & all!
