    Re: august 9th...its nearly Christmas

hiya all ...a quick jump in ..tis hot today ..really hot..they have told us that due to the assholes around here we are going for a full lockdown round herein the next few days ..shut the pubs that would do it ...but thats the great British Institution ...pubs and beaches ..where Ilive its roughly 3 per 100 000 positives but elsewhere with same postcode lettering is 40/60 ..so we are all getting tarred with the same brush hope everyone is well..

good for you Pie ...stay safe everyone

oh boy ..how many of you knew this one then..........

    Boris Johnson
Johnson was born on 19 June 1964 in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City,[6][7] to 23-year-old Stanley Johnson, an Englishman, then studying economics at Columbia University,[8] and his 22-year-old wife of one year Charlotte Fawcett,[9] an Oxford-born artist from a family of liberal intellectuals, and a daughter of Sir James Fawcett, a barrister. Boris's parents had married in 1963 before moving to the US,[10] where they lived opposite the Chelsea Hotel.[11] In September 1964, they returned to England,

so ....dear readers ...technically that means that he could run for president ...he still holds dual citizenship...not that I hope or indeed wish he would .....

      Good evening all,

Oh Mick, for shit’s sake please do NOT send BJ back here, boo hoo. We have plenty of idiots right now, don’t need any more.
I hope your rain storm cooled things off for you. We had another inch of rain today & it’s currently 73 degrees at 7 pm. Rain total for the month so far is 8.5” - too much!

PQ, sounds like you got quite a bit accomplished yesterday at work, good for you!
Sometimes those things on the kidney are just cysts & don’t need immediate attention. Hope that’s all you got there.
I have to agree with the Dell from hell laptops we’ve had, haha!! HP seems quite a bit better ~ usually.

Pauly, I’m glad they caught up with the little creep. Hope the police in NY catch up with that couple who hurt that kid. I get so angry when I think about someone hurting a teenager especially whenhe was doing his job & the right thing.

I think I was a little less restless last night but I’m still dragging this old body today. Can’t wait for the real cool weather because I always come alive, Lol
Hello to Det, Pie, Sam & Cyn.

Let’s all have a decent night!

          Re: august 9th...its nearly Christmas

          morning all,
Lav, we're getting the rain today. Probably coming your way just in case you're drying out.
PQ & Mick, not sure about model of computer but I've had my share of problems with windows 10, namely with printer drivers and video card updates. It messes with my survey program every time it updates. oh yes please Mr. BJ right where he is. I saw a Rump yard sign yesterday which totally depicts this area: "GOD GUNS COUNTRY & tRump" Everyone here has drunk the koolaide.
Pi, good on you for keeping on. I had gone about 2 years without a drink and then didn't. It took me 5 years to come back to being sober, that's when I joined here. I think I drank harder than ever after my 2 year stint and seemed to beat me up worse than ever. As we get older, I think the booze really affects the hangover us more, like being sick seems to be more pronounced. (not saying you're old or anything!)
Pauly, assholeism is running rampant in the this country. Maybe there'll be a vaccine for that too, nah......

been slugging through locating the river portion of this farm, about 4000' of frontage. Back in the late 1800's there was a road that ran along the side of it. Parts of it are still pretty evident. I was able to wade out in it to get shots but not after Wednesday night. Water level went up dramatically. Looks like a good day to get caught up inside.

          hope everyone is well.

              ahoy ABerooooos!

managed to see me mum twice this week which was grand, even if it meant hanging out in the dismal partially-open casino.
she's on the plane now heading back to FL. hopefully it won't be so long before our next visit.

A-holeism is rampant in Vegas too with people driving like they are playing a crazy video game.... I just don't get it.

good grief, the huge drama and rioting in Chicago was sparked by a fictitious social media campaign. scary times peeps. not good.

In better news I had quite a bit of work early in the week and off now today and tomorrow so I've been catching up on oil change, hair cut
etc and now it's off to the gym to repent for the crap I ate at the casino last night

Sam good to see you again

Pie, yepper my bod doesn't do booze even in 'normie' quantities anymore. it's just saying NO! so simple as that. at least on paper I know.

Refuge meet tonight which is always good. ommm ommmm.

Mick, what an amazing pile of bronze-age treasure that guy found... inspiring for sure. You'll find a big one!

well, off to brave the heat again and get my workout.

shouts to PPQ, Lav, Pauly, anyone else?

              be well loves!

                Good evening Abbers,

Still DAMP here, rain off & on & non-stop humidity, yuck!
My younger grandson is here, again. He loves being the only kid in the house, no brother BS, haha! I shall be taking him home soon before the skies open up again.

Pauly, I would just love to share some of this rain. If you figure out a way just let me know

Sam, are you growing giant mushrooms in your yard too? Geez, so much water.
There’s plenty of Trump yard signs here too. I sometimes want to run over them when I see them haha!

Mick, you could make a long weekend trip to go see van, just saying!
Good luck with the grapevine. We had some growing at our old house, fun.

Det, great you got to see your mom this week. I miss mine so much, gone since 1986.
Stay busy, it’s good for you!

Hello to PQ, hope everything is OK.
Hi to Pie & Cyn too.

                Have a nice night everyone!

                  Re: august 9th...its nearly Christmas

And good morning all how are we today then? Hope all is well over cast here today but it's still 24 degrees just nipped out to get some bits and pieces but staying away from the town just saw the headlines Oldham has the highest rate in Great Britain 108 cases 100000 didn't break it down into different areas of Oldham and fortunately our postcode has got 0 there's more chance of us catching foot and mouth disease hahaha
Yes we did think of going down there to Somerset to have a look at that van Lav we but it's a private sale and for me that gives me no chance of part exchange and certainly no guarantees if anything goes wrong certainly a little bit closer and a trade sale well I definitely would have done it ok except to me pay a little more in a trade sale but you have always got the comeback of guarantees depending on where you go we joined the Camping and Caravanning Club of Great Britain last night two reasons behind that firstly a lot of campsites are booked up even over the next summer no if you are a member you get precedent on their sites secondly you get up to to 30% off off the booking price for their sites and in conjunction with that because I'm over 60 there's another 25% on top of that that to be taking off it costs £41 a year to join a one-off fee so no doubt that will be recouped several times over especially considering the news this morning lockdown in Spain France and Germany again thank goodness we've got the rationale and reasoning of Boris and Donald to keep us sane in all of this hahaha if it's nice tomorrow we are going to put the awning up on the side of our van Julie is looking forward to that not some of the instructions that are written in very sweary language you know the score with all been there hahaha bad news this morning my three headed sunflower was snapped by the wind during the night now I try an experiment but I don't think it's going to work where the stock and broken off I drove the both ends of it and put piece of capillary tubing between it see if it will draw the water from one end to the other but I doubt it not to worry will save the seeds for next year best of luck today ppqp it's today they give you your results isn't it? I'm sure you will be fine well everybody hope you'll have a great weekend and enjoy yourself listen to your brains not the blonde bampots stay safe and take care

Mae everybody, Det Vegas has to have some of the most aggressive drivers ever! That's how Brady got in his wreck the lady was speeding and not paying attention and hit him and he rammed into the concrete divider on the 95? Freeway out by Mountain Vista hospital, pretty far away from my neighborhood, slow down everyone jeez!!! PQ, hope all is well, let us know, Sam, great to see you, I'm absolutely not sure how these people think DT is a Christian? One of my brothers always posts FB pages on how DT brought "Christ back to the oval office" makes me wanna laugh, sick of it all! Lav and Mick we still need some rain haha, much love to all and wishes for a great BF Fryday!

                      Ahoy AB peeeeps!

boy am I sore from yesterday's workout... good stuff.

Lav, hope you're having fun with the kiddo. not so much the dampness I'm sure.

Pauly, yikes but that sounds likely for drivers here. Everyone is so rude and impatient. oh well.
at least my meditation last night helped.

Mick, joining the camping club sounds great. I'd love to RV all over the place for a while but that's just
not practical with the wee one. In fact I couldn't really imagine that at all. ack!

I just can't get my head around the horrific murder of 5yo Cannon Hinnant. Some things perhaps it's best I
can't relate to. It's easy to forget how many sick people are in our midst and I don't want to be anti social.

on a brighter note I think I'll oven roast (it's too freaking hot to BBQ) some chicken thighs with achiote, lime juice,
                      cumin and garlic. mmmmmm

again I'm stumped by healthy/fun things to do this weekend. it's 110F until nex Wednesday. aaaaagh!
at least I'm not going through the heat with a hangover or detoxing... I can't even imagine that.

                      arriety, back to marketing research

                      be well loves!

                        Greetings friends,

                        Kidless today, haha!!
Spent half the day cleaning out a portion of the chicken house. I think I’ll get the little ones moved in tomorrow. They’re all looking good & healthy so I’m happy.

Mick, the camping club sounds like a great idea! I hope it works out for you.
And I hope your poor sunflower survives, what a shame.
The blonde idiot in Washington is trying to close down the postal service - for real. What an idiot!!

Pauly, I’ll try another rain dance for you. Don’t know why the last one didn’t work for you, haha!! Stay cool!

Det, I can’t cook outside in the blazin heat either. I’d drop dead before the chicken was done, LOL
I also can’t imagine the horror of that little boy’s death. We have too many crazies running loose & way too many street guns in this country. Not a good mix

Hello to PQ, Sam, Pie & Cyn!

                        Have a good night all!

there's so much stupidity running around these days I keep tripping and falling over it.

have a good evening everyone look where you're walking so you don't run into it as well.

A young man named Dave bought a horse from a farmer for £250.

The farmer agreed to deliver the horse the next day. The next day, the farmer drove up to Dave's house and said, "Sorry son, but I have some bad news, the horse died"

Dave replied, "Well, then just give me my money back"

The farmer said, "Can’t do that. I went and spent it already"

Dave said, "Ok, then, just bring me the dead horse"

The farmer asked, "What ya gonna do with him?"

Dave said, "I’m going to raffle him off"

The farmer said, "You can’t raffle off a dead horse!"

Dave said, "Sure I can, Watch me. I just won’t tell any body he’s dead"

A month later, the farmer met up with Dave and asked, "What happened with that dead horse?"

Dave said, "I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at £5 a piece and made a profit of £2245."

The farmer said, "Didn’t anyone complain?"

Dave said, "Just the guy who won, so I gave him his five quid back.

                              Happy Saturday ABeroooooos!

wow, big news: the Pentagon finally admitting it has discovered 'alien vehicles not of this Earth'. another wow!
it's about bloody time. they say more details forthcoming. Save us aliens!

Mick, it's sad but true... gun or knife it's the intent and willingness to cause harm/murder that is the real problem and it's a harder one to solve than the
intellectually lazy argument of passing more laws regarding the tools used. This is a huge 'clue' that society is very sick and needs help.
ok, I'm resorting to the aliens to help us once more...surely they have some ideas. I dunno what would be worse... being shot or stabbed. yucky.

I have one photoshoot at noon which kind of buggers up the day, but it's insanely hot here and we still don't know what to do for 'fun' here between the
heat and the city being semi locked-down and understaffed. I think the bowling place might be open...there's a thought. At least it has AC.

Lav, I hope the chicks like their new abode! they are such neat animals. it's sad I'm allergic to live chickens. and I'm sure I'd get evicted if I tried to
raise some on our tiny porch.

well, another cuppa and I better get my gear charged/packed.

                              be well loves!

                                MAE ALL...

Well push has come to shove at work as nothing is still not getting done. If licensing comes in and shuts our Out of School Care Program down, because the Fire Exit Door is still not fixed. I hope the board fires the boss. He would deserve it. I have not had the MRI yet as I need to get some blood work done first, it's scheduled for the 21st. Very difficult to book an appt. during this time. Finished off some childcare work this morning so now I'm off to the garden. Got to get some watering done as we're heading up to 88F for the next couple of days.

                                Will check in later....:smile:PPQP
