    Re: 11th July

    Good evening kids,

Still so hot & disgusting ~ what else is new at this point?
Can’t believe my granddaughter has been at camp all week, it ends tomorrow afternoon at 4 pm. Anxious to hear if she wants to go back for another week next month, haha! It’s a good experience for kids.
My NP is changing my BP meds - again! Here’s hoping I finally see some stability soon. Getting tired of this to be honest.

Cyn, no rain the past few days, I think Saturday will be wet. Wish I could FedEx some out west!
Hope you’re not too hot up in the hills with no AC. Take care

Mick, Congrats on 2 days in a row with no boo boos!!! I have plenty of scars myself, evidence of a life well lived I think
Glad your garden is happy. I never really really plan mine either, just put things here & there haha. Keep that First Aid kit close then you’ll never need it!!!!

PQ, an US should show good blood flow throughout your foot. If it’s clear (no blood clot) then someone should figure out what’s causing the cellulitis. Is it possible to see an Infectious Disease specialist? It’s possible the antibiotic you’re taking isn’t going to be effective for whatever bacteria caused the infection in the first place. Sometimes yuo have to switch meds until you find the right one. Is it painful in addition to being swollen? I hope you feel better real soon, this has been going on for a while.

Hellos to Det the busy guy & Pauly!
    Hello to Sam & Pie.

Check in when you can folks, don’t keep us guessing.
    Have a good night all!

      Mae all -

Quick hello and nite nite... trying not to look at screens too late in the day... it does affect sleep, that's for sure!

Well done on staying accident-free, sir Mick! Your garden sounds lovely... enjoy...

Lav, I was about to ask about how your BP was doing. So sorry that it hasn't gotten straightened out yet. And sorry for the weather... that's not helpin, I'm sure... good, luck!

PPQ, good luck to you as well... so sorry you are still dealing with the foot issues... I like Lav's idea of further enquiry... cant hurt I guess...

Hello to Pauly. Det, Sam and all,others... wishing you well, and know we are all here for, you, and each other.

Did anyone see the story about the Olympic runner who (literally) pushed his opponent to the finish line? His statement about pushing each other to succeed and achieve our dreams was just fabulous... what a person to look up to!

Sending lots of care to all -- thanks for being here...

        Re: 11th July

        Good evening friends,

Same disgusting weather just a different day, haha!!
Nothing big happening here today but I am happy to report seeing some better readings on my BP/HR monitor - fingers crossed.
My daughter says the granddaughter came home from camp today with poison ivy on her face & hands but swears she had a great time, LOL

Cyn, I saw a video today of a mama bear & her two young ones taking a dip in Lake Tahoe with people standing right there!!! She must have been feeling the heat!
We are promised storm tomorrow at dinner time & I can’t wait. Maybe it will get rid of some of this humidity. The haze we’re seeing is supposedly coming from the fires out west, wow!
That was a great story about the Olympic runners. Somehow the Olympics seem so very different from when we were young. I hope you’re taking some time to rest & relax..

Hello to Mick, PQ, Det, Pauly & Pie.

Check in when you can kids & have a good night

          MAE ALL...

Lav...hot & disgusting here too. LOL Lots of smoky haze from the west and south! 2nd US done so we'll see what they have to say. My foot actually felt a lot better this morning, minimal swelling. Will have another checkup with my family Doc and if needed she can refer me to a Infectious Disease specialist. I would just like to know where it came from as there were no open cuts/wounds on my foot. At least there is not pain, a little tender when the swelling is acute. I'm glad your g/daughter had a good time in spite of the poison ivy. Is she going back?

TG...good plan on cutting off screen time early in the evening, a lesson I could learn from. Didn't see the Olympic runner but loved the story, thanks for sharing. Arm a little bit sorer from the 2nd jab but no other side effects so far. Glad it's the weekend, I can ignore everything.

Shout out to the rest of the gang. Have a good night all...:smile:PPQP

            Mae all -

Finally checking in earlier than 9 pm... I have work to continue working on this evening, so thought I should post first...

Lav, poison ivy on face and hands!!! Oh no! Glad to hear she had a good time... guess she'll need that special soap when she goes next time...
Also very glad to hear that you are seeing good results from the new BP med... crossing fingers for you! Also for the weather... how are the poor chickens handling it? Some people in PHX kept chickens... I never figured out how they made it through an AZ summer... hope you get your thunderstorms this weekend...

Mick, I suppose you are having a wonderful time wherever you are... will be interested to hear about it. Sound like the football crowd for kind of rowdy after the last game... but I'm sure alcohol was not involved . Travel safely!

Det, how is it going? I hope you are getting busy with work... you sure have "worked your plan" wonderfully. Good luck -

Pauly, sure do miss your voice here... hoping all is well with the whole fam...sending hugs...

Hello to all dropping by - stay safe and stay cool!

I am off to visit stepdaughter tomorrow, back on Sunday - will write again then...

                Re: 11th July

                Greetings folks

We just had an hour of rumbling thunder & half a dozen rain drops. We need more that that to break up this heatwave, ugh!
My chickens are consuming ice cold watermelon in the afternoons & whatever else I can find to cool them down. Egg production is way down of course but I’ve given them a pass.

Cyn, the good news last evening was when my granddaughter showered all the week’s worth of dirt off my daughter realized it was eczema, not poison ivy, haha! Apparently they were using face paint at some point & she always reacts to that stuff. I hope you are enjoying your visit with your SD & relaxing as much as possible.

PQ, I’m still trying to figure out the source of the infection in my gums last week. Sometimes we just have to accept not knowing I guess. The trick is finding the right antibiotic for the job. The Amoxicillin I took generally works on respiratory & soft tissue infections so that’s why it was ordered. Sometimes a culture has to be done to determine the exact bacteria to find the right antibiotic to do the job. I hope it gets sorted out soon for you!

Mick, Swede Caroline ~ good one, Lol
Now I heard today there’s a case of Covid in the olympic village so who knows if these games will ever get started. What a shame, really.
Your garden 7 your bunnies are all looking marvelous

Det, I’ve seen your fB & Instagram posts - good jog!!!! Keep going!

                Pauly, thinking about you.

                Hello to Sam & Pie.

                Have a nice night everyone.
