    MAE ALL…

Took me awhile to get on the site tonight so hope this posts.

Lav…you may be right about the food. My diet is crap, now I just have to figure out what to eat. Any ideas? I think Putin’s interest is the land grab as well. Makes me think of the board game we used play called Risk. Lunch with friends is always great. 71 degrees! Now I’m jealous. That’s perfect weather for me.

TG…I know how your eyes felt yesterday, mine feel that way today. Came back to work with a ton of emails to deal with. People are coming out of their shells and everyone’s looking to book halls. Lots of wedding in the near future. Sorry to hear about your nephew’s family and glad you are able to help. I’m sure your friend will appreciate the book.

Mick…ok, I’m not mentioning my weather as I don’t want to jinx it. I hope this storm blows over and you’re able to get away tomorrow. I hope you can sort out some care for Julie’s Dad, that’s tough. How’s your tummy doing these days? Got things sorted out?

Pauly…I know that was a tough decision to leave but good on you. Who needs that stress! Hope you can find a job you love soon.

Well, I am absolutely bushed, time to find something to eat. Soup maybe? Hope we all have a good night….:smile:PPQP

      Mae all,

Mick, oh no, more weather! I sure hope that it clears up so that you can go see the Steam show... that sounds wonderful. Sorry about the management not be able to fulfill all the works... that is a quandry. Say hello to the rabbits and let them know that the sun hasn't gone away permanently (we hope!). Good luck -

Lav, so nice to hear that you had time with your "tribe". and 71 degrees? Our high today was 9 F, and going down to minus 2 tonight. But things look a little better for tomorrow and Friday... hope so, as I don't relish driving up to Mpls in below-zero temps. Yes, that's what I have been hearing about Putin and the resources for war. But that hasn't stopped dictators before... those poor people... always sending protective thoughts for them.

PPQ, yes soup sounds like a great idea for you - bodies really love moist foods... plus I find most soups comforting. I just have to steer clear of the cream-based ones. You'll find your way - you may have to do a food diary for awhile so that you can track things. Everybody seems to be different. I am traveling this weekend, and taking my go-to foods with me, just in case... i never am sure what I'll find in a different city - thank goodness I am driving my car!

Pauly, here's hoping that there are some things popping up for you. in the meantime, enjoy a little time at home? You have always worked so hard...

Hello to Det and Sam, and anyone dropping by. I hope all are safe, warm, and content...

Mae everybody, yep Cyn I haven't been out of work since my kids were little and tbh it's making me stir crazy a bit! I'm still doing the grocery thing but went on an interview at a chain salon yesterday, I guess Kell is gonna go rent a booth somewhere, Mick there's no going back,Kell and I both had harsh words for the owner when we left,I just can't have that lady in my life after seeing how bad she treated all my friends and firing ladies who did absolutely nothing wrong! Lav,how is your weather warmer than ours? Barely 50 degrees yesterday here with some snow flurries,PQ,how have you been feeling? Breathing is ok? I hope. This Russia thing pisses me off, after what the whole world has been thru with covid and people are finally start to be less on edge about it,this has to pop up,it's just like more drama nobody fucken needs right now, give the people a chance to catch their breath jeez, sorry for the rant but it irks me and I feel bad for the people over there much love to all and wishes for a great BF whatever day it is,these days are all a blur when you're unemployed

            Re: febray 20th

            Evening greetings friends,

Well that PERFECT weather we had yesterday is long gone, of course!
Today it’s hovering a degree or two above freezing & we had frozen rain in the form of little ice balls followed by sleet at lunch time, ugh. Nothing coming down now, it’s just cold.

PQ, what Cyn said about a food diary & nothing harsh or spicy right now is advisable. Think bland diet - plain chicken, mashed potatoes, Jello ( haha that’s a reference to the hospital’s version of bland food).
See if raw foods like salad bother you, sometimes it’s best to stick with cooked veggies for a while. I would even hold off on coffee, sugary foods & dairy at first until you determine what bothers you. It’s a process of elimination, like what Mick did recently. Sounds like your place is set to do some good business this year, that’s great!

Cyn, you are in a deep freeze, geez! I’m holding hope that you have an easy trip

Pauly, just a thought but maybe you & Kell could look into working for a home care company. There’s plenty of training available (easy & not expensive). As you have seen with Mick’s situation getting a good home care companion for a shut in is vital. They usually pay pretty well & offer benefits, etc. It would be a nice change of pace for you two

Mick, glad you made it to your destination & I hope the wind eases up so you can get some good pics & enjoy the train.

            Hello to Det & Sam.

Just on a side note - my son was stationed inside the Capitol building yesterday, in charge of communications for the fire & EMS department. They were prepared for to handle any trouble due to the truckers converging on the city. Nothing happened!! Their protest apparently petered out, just as well Lol
Keeping the people of Ukraine & beyond in my thoughts today.

            Lav

              Mae all -

Mick, glad you arrived safely, and here's hoping the weather improves quickly!

Pauly, wow, this is such a big transition for you - I'm sure that you are really feeling like "a fish out of water" right now - hang in there. I have been through so many of these transitions... it's not easy, but being out of a bad situation is definitely worth it. I don't know how you feel, but Lav's idea might be a good one - a job with benefits is a great way to go... and helping people really gives a lot back in our hearts... I find that in my work with seniors, they are SO grateful for the help and attention. good luck in your search. The right thing will come!!

PPQ - hoping that the food quest is going okay for you - I know how tiring it is to have to write down all your food, sheesh! But worth it. Hoping you are feeling okay in the interim. Good luck!

Lav, when I woke up and read about the Ukraine, I thought of you right away. To think of death and destruction completely uncalled for, it's just defies belief. I hope that you saw the comment from the Ukrainian ambassador to the Russian ambassador at the United Nations Security Council in the middle of the meeting when the news broke: "There is no purgatory for war criminals. They go straight to hell, Ambassador."

This is one time that I sort of wish that I had TV... on the other hand, i can choose which articles to read, and things are updated about every 20 minutes, so I guess I am getting the news. What a dark day this is...

Let's hold to the Light and send it where it is needed...

                MAE ALL…

TG…sounds like you’re having weather like we just had. Hope it doesn’t last. It’s supposed to warm up this weekend but you didn’t hear me say that. I’ve already start a food diary. Just jotting down what and when I eat and any effects it has on me. I’m pretty much sticking to soup for now. Safe travels this weekend.

Pauly…not working is quite a shock to your system if you’ve worked all your life. My sister used to bitch about her husband when he wasn’t working, just go do something she’d say. I asked how she would handle it when he was retired and she said that’ll be different, we’ll be in retirement mode. I don’t know. I’m feeling ok, even better today. That procedure on Tuesday took more out of me than I thought. The breathing has been ok but my doc wants me to see Respiratory Specialist. Rant away I think we’re all feeling the same way.

Mick…glad you were able to get away. I’m glad the sleet and snow have stopped and I hope the wind dies down so you can get out and about. Did you take your drone with you? Can’t wait to see the steam show.

Lav…yup, that whiplash weather again. I like mashed potatoes and Jello, don’t know about the plain chicken but I don’t really do spicy as a rule. Thanks for the tip on cooked veggies, I do love spinach. I do believe I have to give up coffee and coke, I’m sure they’re causing a lot of my issues. Haven’t had any for a couple of days and I could feel the difference. I’m excited about the future of the business with the changes the boss has been proposing. Just got to get through the transition stage. I’m glad nothing transpired at the capitol today.

Det, Sam…thinking of you both and hope you are doing ok.

Time to log off as my eyes have had enough of computer work. Hope we all have a good night….:smile:PPQP

Hiya all.hope everyone is good. Slept pretty well last night .we are in the middle of yet another storm ...storm Gladys that's 4 in a row.it was pretty blowy last night. It has eased off this morning as I look over the railway line I can see people starting to set up their cameras. I think today is too windy for the drone but we shall see.say a little prayer for those caught up in the conflict in Ukraine . Power crazy putin has not only caused devastation there but also in his own country. The Russian stock market has had billions wiped out in one hit. Him and his grovelling lackey trump. I believe in peaceful solutions where possible but won't shed any tears if they both get lead jacketed answers
                  Have a great weekend all

                    Re: febray 20th

                    Good evening friends,

I just heard men between the ages of 18 & 60 cannot leave Ukraine, they must stay & fight. I can’t even imagine
I am donating for relief for those staying & the injured.

Woke up to an icy wonderland this morning. I did put a pic on FB earlier. Hard to believe we had 71 degrees here yesterday. The roads were too warm to freeze so that was good.
Got my car inspected, oil changed, emissions tested & tires rotated today so I’m set for another year

Cyn, I believe YouTube has something like 15 news channels you can watch on your iPad or laptop. Check them out.
I don’t want a steady feed of news, that would push my anxiety level up. I do want to check in a time or two each day to see how far this thing is going. Sanctioning Putin himself is new today, hope it helps.
I’m donating to the International Rescue group to help feed refugees, etc. I wish i could do more

PQ, you’re likely going to figure out pretty quickly which foods are bothering you. When i was going through all that 20+ years ago I was pretty sure it was dairy & it was. I figured if I didn’t get relief after quitting dairy then I was going to quit gluten. You get the idea. If you do decide to see a pulmonologist make sure you have quit smoking first or they will rip your head off for you - I kid you not! There are meds & procedures they can do to improve your breathing but not if you’re still smoking so I’m giving you fair warning friend. Hope your weekend is great!

Mick, I hope the weather settled down for you. Drones definitely do not like high winds!!! I hope there’s some nice indoor museums nearby or something.to keep you occupied.

Pauly. Hope your day was good!

Hello to Det & anyone stopping by.
                    Have a nice night all.

                      MAE ALL..

TG...looks like we poste at the same time yesterday but you won. LOL Have you headed out on your trip?

Mick...those were some great pics. I'd be careful flying the drone in any wind. See how the others do first. It sounds like they finally put sanctions on Putin, about time.

Lav...Good on you for donating. The Canadian government is matching donations $ for $ up to $10 million. That was quite a pic, loved the way the bird bath looked. Thanks for the heads up on the pulmonologist. There was a voice mail on my phone the day of my procedure so phoned her back the next day. The recording said "you've reached raspatory booking, press 1 for Dr. A & B, press 2 for Dr. C, D & E" I hung up. I will eventually phone my family doctor but will wait awhile, I've had enough of Dr.'s for now. Went to a dermatologist yesterday morning as my doctor was concerned about the number of spots on my back. No concerns but should do a checkup in a year. Those spots have been there forever, ex said he could do a connect the dots.

Pauly...hope your day was stress free, no watching the news. LOL

Shout out to Det & Sam. Time to put the soup on. Have a good night all....:smile:PPQP

And good morning to you ppqp..join the dots and win a major prize. The intention was to put the drone up,but the winds have increased..ok it may be possible to some but its a lot of money to crash in to the deck .how are you today then Julie has managed..don't ask me how to upgrade our seats on the Jacobean Express to first class ok it is a bit more expensive but it is a one off. The pullman coaches are like those on the orient Express. Ther is a waiting list for these seats up till September 2023..what happens is all the big tourist companies block book them. But well chuffed you take care and have a good weekend

Hiya lav..how are you today..Good I hope so that's you road safe again. I thought the weather was going to be brilliant today but think I was wrong. At least it is dry .I hope that madman turns his own people against him and they take him out...and if he is in bed with jaffa man at the same time then so be it. 2 4 1..sounds good to me. Take care and have a nice weekend.

Nice day here, been out trying to dodge all the slush. Next week will bring cooler temps and more snow. At least it'll be March.

Mick...looks like you're enjoying yourself. Hope you can get the drone out tomorrow. Wow, I bet you were chuffed with the upgrade, what did you do to deserve Julie?

                            Greetings friends,

Cold but sunny & dry here today. We rode out to see our granddaughter for her 11th birthday & had lunch. It was a nice visit & on the way home our son texted us inviting us out to dinner with him & the 2 boys (DIL is away visiting her father). We met up at a local place & had a nice dinner together. It was a rare day getting to see all of them today

PQ, my heart is breaking for the people of Ukraine. I just can’t imagine the terror they are facing.
The ice is long gone, now we just have mud, haha! It’s supposed to be near 50 tomorrow, we’ll see. As long as you aren’t having any severe respiratory problems that need immediate treatment, hold off as you said. You can talk to your family doc first & get a game plan together.
Hope your weekend is a good one

Mick, you’re a lucky guy getting those upgraded tickets. I guess Julie really does appreciate you, nice.
I would love to see the people turn on Putin & give him exactly what her deserves. We can always dream.

                            Cyn, hope you are well!

Pauly & Det, Sam & anyone popping in - hello!
