Tuesday October 30th

Hello all...
I'm the flaky poster.. It was fun to read a bit today on here and see who is new and what everyone is up too. Welcome Sante! Its a busy week for me as we have lots of stuff going on and I'm trying not to get behind on my studying in the midst of it. Tonight is a business dinner with my husband and some clients from out of town, so that's always nice to have a nice dinner on the company! I have not prepared AT all for Halloween, and went to Costco today to buy a ton of candy and wound up perusing around the store for about an hour... and speaking of BOOKS, I spent almost the entire hour reading cookbooks! LOL! I threw one in my cart because it had some great h'dorvers (sp?) ideas, and we are having my husband's office over Thursday night for a H'dorves party before the holidays get to hectic. So I've got to do some food shopping and fun appetizers, etc for that, so I'm getting a wee sidetracked from school. I also have to buy all the wine tomorrow as well as provide a few cocktails... I hate having that stuff leftover after parties because I wind up getting into it.

It is far from feeling like Fall here.... it was 84 today, and I actually got in a little sun yesterday as I'm trying not to completely lose my tan since we have a Bahamas trip coming up soon! I dont want to burn...

I'm doing pretty well... I'm trying to get in as many AF nights as possible, because I just might kick back a bit on the trip, but want to work on cutting my tolerance level back.

Of course, Judie, when I said I had read all the Staphanie Plum books, that was true, but I really meant I had read all of Janet Evanovich. She can make me laugh no matter what. I have all of her books. I don't keep many, but I keep all hers. I also keep all of Ann George's Southern Sisters mysteries. They are guaranteed to make me howl with laughter. Maybe we were separated at birth? Got any southern in ya?

Amethyst- Well, I'm Southern Oregonian... we talk w/a southern drawl, kinda...(it's the logger accent I think ie:backwood/redneck)
(But I haven't had any Southerner in me in quit a while! Now that I'm married.... No more Gypsi, no more "strange"....LOL! I just take what I can get! Somethin's wrong w/that!)

After living in Colorado & Arizona, I don't think my accent is quite as obvious as a lot of them around here. I can see how it might sound southern to some...I never really noticed it untill I'd moved away & came back.
I'll have to check out Ann George. Thanks. "SIS!":h

PS The first Janet Evanovich book that caught my eye was "Ten Big Ones"... Hmmm.. It was in the shop where my Mom gets her hair done, they do a used book exchange with clients... That one just caught my eye....
