Yes, today's note was incredibly uncanny when you considered Kanga either way.

I get the notes sent M-F in an email. they almost always are so on in their messages. It is a free service from TUTs Adventurers Club: Explore the power of thought & creative visualization to manifest dreams! - which has some very inpirational books on their site. I have purchased some along the way.

I hope all of you have an opportunity for a truly relfective and sweet evening.

    Hugs and Love,
    Mary

Hi everyone. Not much to say. Like everyone else, the sudden loss of Kanga broadsided me.

AF here today though. One foot in front of the other and keep breathing.

      Hugs all around.

Good evening. The passing of a friend is always difficult. I regret that I never came to know Kangra; he sounds like a wonderful person. But I have come to know some of you; and I love you! I think that you are wonderful people. I usually do not speak of religious things on this forum, but save my faith comments for the section "shared faith in healing". But in the last couple of years, I have lost a couple of close friends and was not able to get back in time for their funeral, so I felt a real lack of closure (a necessary process in the loss of someone for whom we hold in regard). After months of searching, I found this message, and it has always helped me. I hope it helps you:

A TRAVELER COMING HOME, A Message of Sympathy by Karen Ravn

A Traveler ventured forth one day
Upon a long and winding road
With faith and trust to lead the way,
With strength and will to bear his load.
And at a slow but steady pace,
In cold of storm, in warmth of sun,
He journeyed on from place to place
And gained some value from each one.
Until at last one quiet night,
        He climbed a hill's soft-rounding crest
And saw afar a single light
That seemed to promise peace and rest.
And following its glow, he came
Upon the house in which it shone.
A voice inside called out his name
And told him he was truly home.

Now all of us must travel, too --
Like his, our paths wind slowly on,
And surely when the course is through,
        A welcome comfort waits beyond.
May we believe that sweet content
Is earned by all those miles passed,
And never doubt each traveler's meant
To reach a loving home at last.

May you find comfort in knowing
That your loved one is home at last . . .
And that one day you'll meet again.

        (Author, Karen Ravn)

May G-d bless all of us.

        With much love and regard,
        MM
Saving the day one minute at a time!

          BIG announcement here.

Have had very little trouble doing major mods for 9 months. I had a reason to straighten up my life. Will now give myself permission - not to slip, but to indulge in a major act of self-sabotage. It will be temporary. But I really, realy, really need to sleep. My 3 per day rule will NOT apply today. And I will not apologise.

                P.S.
Tawny-Do you have any other sleep aids available in the house, or can you ask friends? 1-2 nights of taking sleeping pills may help you, if it's possible.

Thanks all. My self-sabotaging thing hasn't worked. It tasted crap. It's nearly 1am and I'm still stone-cold-motherless-sober. And I so want to sleep.
Shoot - enough of my bleating. Guess the sleep thing will happen sometime.

I have to say ... thanks for being in my world today.
