Hi Everybody, I've been away for awhile. Really missed everyone. Things were really bad for a while, but they seem to be getting somewhat better. It wasn't drinking stuff, just life stuff, nothing anyone else would consider important, but it was one crisis after another to me. I couldn't bring myself to come on the Board because I felt that I would not have been a very positive influence, rather, I would have been like a yoke clinging on everybody's neck. Really appreciated the PM's. You are all so special. Hope I'll be welcome to come back!

I hope all of you have a wonderful time over Easter with the parties and family time.

Lushy, I hope you have a wonderful vacation and you get through the Easter egg hunt and all that party planning. Hope you start feeling better.

Hawk, you too dear. That stomach thing on top of walking pneumonia - whew! I sometimes try to keep the big talkers away from the house while I am prepping and cooking hours ahead of a large dinner party. the noise level in my own house makes me a little nuts sometimes. I totally get cooking at home by yourself!

BB, LOVE Mr. Bean. He is hysterical in such a goofy way. I hope Kerrie gets a super big kick out of it!

Sammys, you will do GREAT over the weekend. I can tell you are really getting this plan thing down!!

Mojo - LOL! Peanut butter does go well on celery! We have Trader Joes, around the corner - boy they have some really nice, ready made exotic dips, salsas party treats.

MM, it goes with out saying, we miss you when you are away!! Sorry it has been stressful and tough. Hawk is right, you can come on board and tell it like it is, that is what we are here for! Glad to hear you have not caved on the alcohol issues!!

I am going a bit nuts here and am sans leg of lamb, one of the meat dishes for Sunday - last time I waited to the last minute I was calling all over the metro area for one that was big enough to debone and stuff. Ok, not going to freak over that . . .yet!

Mornin' Ya'll!
Guess what? I finally got my kayak back on the river yesterday! :woot: It was a bit breezy & cool, but SOOO nice to be on the water again. I came across a pair of river otters making some very strange noises...kinda like a squeel that was part goat & part cat... AND.... they were "piggy-backing"! In the water, then up on a rock, back in the water, back on the riverbank... I'd never been witness to that before! Kinda felt like a voyeur! They get right with it! I always love seeing the otters... but MAN o MAN!
Also saw some Canadian Honkers, a few seals, and a bunch of osprey, cormerants, mallards, & deer. "It's a jungle out there!"
Glad I didn't work last night when I had the opportunity. With springtime here, comes more work...But I figure I've got the rest of my life for that.
Like tonight.

Thank you all sooo much for your warm words!!! I really appreciate it more than I can express. I appreciate your willingness to listen to my stuff, but honestly, compared to the serious problems many of you have, mine seems like petty crap! My son didn't get into the schools of his choice (though he got into great schools); the pressure from the internet clothing store generated a great deal of unexpected stress, as I have great designers and an incredible distribution network, including Sierra Club's Trading Space, but I can't get the dxxxmn blankety, blank program to work -- well my son is putting on the finishing touches this weekend and it is going to beta testing next week, FINALLY!! And the list goes on and on and on!!! So, it wasn't just one thing; I could handle that; it was just a bunch of stuff crushing me. So, I just put my head down and kept going non-stop working through them the best I could until I reached the point where life began to make sense again. That kind of stuff -- boring, unimportant everyday stuff that was just driving me CRAZY!!!!!

But I'm ok now. I really missed being here as I love you all so much. I appreciate more than words can say that I am still welcomed back after being gone for what seemed an eternity, and your wonderful caring support is invaluable to me.

Enjoy the holiday, though it is supposed to snow here on Capital Hill!!! Hard to think about Passover and Easter, but we still have some nice plans.

Also just found out that the momma Chocolate Lab has one puppy and that we are getting it! WOO HOO She is due on the 18th. A friend gave me a contact that he works with who trains dogs for kids with special needs. She said she'd work with me and give me some pointers.

Hello everyone -
Yesterday I watched a new decade start; turned 40 :eeks: I'm actually pretty excited about it - it feels like a fresh start, the chance to have a 'do-over' if you will.
Of course I had to celebrate the event, but that's ok. I'm getting on track with my life, even thinking about finding a job!!!! The last few days I've felt really calm and peaceful about everything going on in my life, and I can't remember the last time I enjoyed that sense of well-being. Definitely going to ride this train for as long as I can

Judie, it sounds like you have a wonderful place to observe nature. As a watershed management troubleshooter, I work all over North America to help clean-up waterways and work on marine wildlife conservation. I have to say, Oregon is one of the most beautiful states relative to waterways. One of the places that I worked was on the Smith and Klammath Rivers -- The Smith River was just breathtaking, totally awesome. While I was there, a moose just walked right up to me, couldn't believe it!!! Glad you are enjoying nature.

Mary, good luck with the leg of lamb. We had that for one of our sedars last week -- lots of work!!!
