There are so many approaches. See what works best for you. I rarely eat an actual meal but eat many very small ones throughout the day so I am never hungry but don't actually eat that much. I have been macrobiotic (mostly) for 25 years so lots of whole organic foods, etc. but it is not for everyone. I say try nibbling on nuts and fruits and vegetables throughout the day - they can be very filling (NOT dried fruits and vegs) and having very small meals. Your taste will change with time so you won't even like artificial sweets eventually. Don't be hungry.
