    The Tender Bar by JR Moehringer

    Comical, insightful, and stunning. A memoir written by a Yale graduate, a wanna be Times reporter, who later helped Andre Agassi write his memoir "Open."

    JR Moehringer is an excellent story teller who detailed his life journey from boyhood to manhood. He learned important life lessons from a bar tended by his uncle.

    Only read this if reading about drinking doesn't make you want to drink.

    I must say this is one of the best written books I've read in the recent years.

      you will love it! This author definitely writes well... I usually give my books away after reading, but I'm keeping this one!

      I love actual books, too! Have not ever bought an ebook because it's just not the same...

        I have this book on "order" at the library...should be in soon!

        Right now I am reading "Stolen Life" by Jaycee Dugard. She's that little girl that got kidnapped at age 11 and was held for 18 years and gave birth to two of her captors babies. Sad story.

          I loved The Tender Bar. Wonderful writer and touching story.

          I am reading Cutting for Stone and rereading For Whom the Bell Tolls. Just finished Gone Girl ( or is it Girl Gone?), Wow, that was quite a story.

            Cutting for stone is an excellent book! I loved it.

            I never read Girl Gone. Sounds interesting!
