    Underoos and Friends - June

Beags - the basic plan is - I'll keep them locked up until they start laying so that they get used to their house and then I intend to let them free-range and hope they come back at night. There's heaps of roses near those lavenders so some pest control and poopage will be a bonus. There's actually quite a lot of shelter nearby and some huge gums to the west should provide afternoon shade. It's not designed to be moved and I'm hoping(!) that the four roof panels are heavy enough to keep it weighed it down and I've added extra roof-to-wall brackets on the inside to keep it all tied down. I'm thinking of getting ISA Browns, just two.

Anyway, enough of my chookhouse story. It's up and I'm happy.

Your 3 day health retreat spa sounds like absolute bliss. I know what you mean about the drinking buddies - when I first started to get my act together I basically had to completely change my social life. All the people I really liked and respected and found interesting were also major pissheads. Haven't seen them in years but that was my choice. Sometimes I get sad about that.

Now calling it quits for the day and slipping into Pink Dress mode.

Sorry Missy - x-postage happening all over the shop!

        Evening,

Ah, the day off tomorrow. You bloody ripper!
Aus v Germany in a few hours in the soccer.
Speaking of which, i've just had a slightly worrying p/c (3 way conference style) with Socceroo's captain Lucas Neill, and Timmy Cahill. To get to the point, Tim was concerned that Luke was indulging in too much negative self talk, especially in his sleep, the last few night's. Tim has rung Billy Thorpe, who is dead, for a pep talk. Luckily, a quick thinking Athol Guy, directed Timmy to Jessica Watson, who gave Tim my number.
I asked Lucas..... What shape is a football? round. What shape is the Earth? round. No Luke, it's spherical.
Now look, thing's aren't all they appear sometimes, get it? So, it follow's that...... how can you worry about something that has yet to occur? Now, GET OUT THERE AND DO IT!

A marvellous evening to everyone and there families.

The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

Um, er, I hope they have a better coach that the German gentleman, Mr. Otto Rehhagel, who coaches the Greek team. Bad choices for opening line-up yesterday. Too late making appropriate changes. Just saying...

                          OH MY WORD

AM on "A" of HALT. Very very angry with Mr Sweats.

He's just given me a good 'telling off' for bumping my car when he was away.

I am not the kind of woman you 'tell off' he really should know that by now.

I feel bad about bumping the car, and certainly didn't do it on purpose.

Lots and lots of underlying stuff that i don't want to bring to the surface so will sit on it.

But I'm not going to have a drink.

                          Hmmph.

Bets, sorry to hear you're upset. I have never really understood why people tell you off for something you didn't do on purpose. Mr. Stirly does it a lot and I find it very annoying to say the least. I, for example am extremely careful with my little car - to the point of mania. Park off at the end of the parking lot so someone doesn't park beside me and bang my car opening their door or let their shopping cart run into it by mistake, even told off this kid because he had dared to write his initials on it one day that it was slightly dusty. Then I accidentally hit this metal column when I was parking because it was low and not visible from my mirror. When Mr. Stirly saw it, you'd think I'd bashed it into wall by the way he went on. I already felt terrible that I had put a dent in the door. What was the point - to make me feel worse that I already did. Anyway, end of my rant. Just wanted to let you know it happens to others. Tell him silently to piss off and get on with your evening. Without AL. He's the worst company you could invite over. He'll might make you feel better for about 20 minutes but you'll feel like crap tomorrow. Guaranteed. Cup of soothing tea or something similar and a good book...

Good stuff on the not drinking stance Bet's. A nice cuppa, and a distraction, book/walk/movie or sumit, to get your mind orf it for a bit.
