    Why is it that Queens Birthday is celebrated this week in Australia and last week in NZ???

    Speaking of days, my calendar of "special observances" informs me that this week we have National Fudge Day to look forward to on the 16th. Hope Starty gets some special stuff in for Larry!

    And National Fudge Day is quickly followed on the 17th by National "Eat Your Vegetables" Day.

          Very quiet undies today ... that's prolly good. Means we're all out and about and doing stuff.

          Still waiting for chook man to ring back to see when I can pick up the girls but in the meantime ... I've discovered ChookNet! A whole bloody forum! Yay! Just had to join. Can't wait to see the feathers fly when one of them gets ruffled and posts a pissed "My Wyandotte can out-lay your Barnevelder any day" rant. This is going to be sooooo good.

                goodness me, here I am replying to my own post. Talk about sad :H

                have had a lovely night doing fun things when i should have been working! Mr B is away overnight, so I indulged in some other of my favourite things (but not drinking!!). Ukelele, lots of time on MWO, an episode or two of Fawlty Towers ......

                I also took some peremptory action on some things that I really should have consulted him about. Mostly chucking out old socks and running shirts. Did it in sisterly support for Betty (re the car ding telling off - hope Mr Sweats feels suitably chastised :H:H:H) ..... and because he went away leaving the dishwasher half emptied, last nights dishes still on the bench, one lot of washing on the line and another in the washing machine and Sunday papers all over the floor.
