Morning Bets, hope you are feeling better today

Starty I'm really glad your Mum is spiritual, I don't know if you have read the book "many lives, many masters" by Dr Brian Weiss but there is some really amazing descriptions of how beautiful the transition can be

Sorry Starts I will change the subject.....

So you think you have problems! My two wild Sisters fly in at lunchtime for 3 days....
The Algarve had better lock up it's sons (and it's vodka!) I'm looking forward to sitting back and watching the fun, last year when they came over I was blind drunk for 3 days and very ill when they left, it was one of my a-ha moments when I 1st considered stopping.

          Good Morning Folks!
I lost my mum a few years back and Starty's situation's bringing back a lot of memories. Things turned out for the best for most of us, including my mum. I'm sure she pays me the odd visit from time to time...
Feeling somewhat tired this morning. My cat's had kittens and wakes me up at all hours for one thing or another, but it's all part of animal husbandry.
Pay Day today, so I'm running around giving most of it away this morning and I've got my monthly meeting with my Alcohol Counsellor. I enjoy these chats. Helps keep me focussed.

I have never had that conerstion with my parents...I think my Mother believes in heaven, not sure if thats stil the same since she does not go to mass anymore, altho that could be down to laziness and not lack of faith....must ask her.

Christmas dinner day today so most of the afternoon will be spend cooking. I cannot believe that 2moro is Friday! The weeks are flying by.

Wish I could take one of your Kittens Pops!

                  Tired's OK.
There's a lot worse things than being tired, Like being hungover.
I go to work on a Monday and I must admit to a little bit of smugness watching some of the guys crawling into work. They know I don't drink and every week one of the guys just looks at me and says..."Not a f***ing word!" and I reply by 'zipping' my mouth shut.

Didn't realise it was Christmas already. And I haven't even got my tree up.
Five kittens to pick from Oney; one uglier than the next.....
Only kidding. They're lovely and I've got homes for them all.

Hi Chilly, I have to admit, I don't envy you!! Drunk people are fine but after a while the really grate on me (how hypocritical is that)

                              Are they staying with you?

                                I don't think it's hypocritical at all.
A lot of drunk people are annoying as hell when you're sober. They always think they're so funny....and good looking....and the wisest Oracles of wisdom....and that was just me.
