Hi everyone I am back - Fennel - thanks for explaining the vegan/veggie thing, but Jan, I have to be careful when eating out (something I rarely do) 'cos cheese contains rennet which comes from a calves stomach. In UK these days, they will use veggie rennet and on the cheese in the supermarket it will have a little symbol saying 'suitable for vegetarians', but it means I can't even eat pizza over here, unless I get a special one from Wholefoods or somewhere. I buy 'happy' eggs and organic yada yada yada milk.

Rog - when I was at the vets this morning they had a wonderful saying on their wall:

"Everybody's born so they can learn to live a good life and love others. Animals already know how to do that, so they don't need to stay as long."

I thought that was rather nice and hopefully might help you a little with Wishbone.

Fennel - welcome to here - lovely to see you posting. I do like your little squirrel!

No, I haven't heard from Swannie. I will try to call her again before I leave for work today.

Okay - still no answer from Tilly..Oh and Nora - re the thyroid thing - check your tummy - if it is slightly darker or discoloured then you should get your thyroid tested. That is what my vet told me today!! I have Maggie shaved at the beginning of the summer each year as she has a thick undercoat then a long top coat and this year her hair isn't growing back - so he was wondering about her thyroid and checked her tummy!! Said he would do a blood test if I wanted but am going to start giving her Omega 3's first - but anyway - check your tummy LOL.
