Kids are wolfing down the foie gras toasts and I'm about to serve the chicken and spuds plus salad. Had my mother on the phone and all was peaceful. She's off to my brother's tomorrow so she seems happy. A few more secret presents to wrap from Santa tomorrow morning. Did have a few friends on the phone from back home and I cried. But good tears... I think I'm in the right place for me at the moment and making the best of the situation.
I'm just me. Doing the best I can. And it does feel good being sober. I would have killed the children otherwise! And we are going to have leftovers!!! I made too much food.
