I just had EXACTLY the same thought, and the same conversation.

Running away and drinking was such an effective way to express disgust.

SO I've made a decision.

I am going for a full spa treatment on my day off this week. There will be a massage and some pretty serious facial action going on. I will go to the expensive one.

I shall not drink or mainline sugar or be self destructive.

I shall take myself to said spa on Thursday with dignity and DEMONSTRATE not REMONSTRATE how I wish to be treated.

I have to wonder if the two youngest Happs would have organised a card if the Lamp hadn't cajoled them into it? Weren't things better when they were in Primary School and the teachers organised the making of special Mother's Day gifts and cards? I seem to remember really bad pottery being made ...

So much better. I still have some of those special gifts and treasure them. I bring out the clay jewellry and even wear the bloody stuff at times :H Eldest locust has finished work early and is on his way home. Now, I think we might have done ok with him. He made me cup cakes...

And Bridge. Re the day of beauty?? I'm googling as we speak...brilliant plan and I love Demonstrate not Remonstrate as a motto...although I'm still up for a revolution...

Actually, I have a couple of nice pieces of flat rock that I got from nearish (well about 120 km away) to Alice Springs... and a couple of pieces from Jersey Cave at Yarrongabilly Caves when we were doing a cleanup there yonks ago. They would look good with something like Tawns roll on them
