    Roos bounce into spring :-)

I remember going up there after the HSC but it wasn't called Schoolies then.
That's another thing we have to burn in hell for I suppose.
    Global warming, Schoolies, Birkenstocks...what next?

That'll be the next thing they all want.....
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

I just spent today being Jobbed...Apple iphone wouldn't charge...made appointment with Genius and spent the day scowling in anticipation of a trip across town...miraculously fixed itself...like I'll ever go Apple again...

Yes, I'm in rebellion over the list of demands from Gen whatever they are...

Now Froglette, how did your luncheon on the weekend go?

Like a new wave of schoolies who have a fantastic adventure helping in an orphanage in Asia. Then come back a well rounded renaissance person, stick it in their resumes and stop acting like such first world arseholes.
Do you think it will catch on?
I don't think that's actually too far-fetched. Admittedly the G's are both saints :wings: (yeah right - many lols). But actually at about that age they and their friends were (and still are) pretty idealistic and did heaps of volunteer work. G1 was the president of the UN youth association and went to the Hague to campaign and G2 volunteered in Samoa.

If it's any help, they never made their beds and they required more hot dinners than I?ve had hot dinners!

I had never heard of schoolies until I cam to Sydney. One of the young women I work with had a formative experience doing a "schoolie cruise" for 5 days around the PAcific. They had to stop the boat at one point for 12 hours becuase someone was missing and they thought he had fallen overboard. He was discovered passed out somewhere.

I didn't realise they'd taken schoolies mobile.....I thought one had to be inserted onto the Gold Coast for one to two weeks, remain stationary and drink

In an interesting plot twist, I've just discovered I have all the skills required for a demotion. My boss is stressing to the point of blowing a valve at the moment, so I've been helping him by doing some things that in a perfect world we would probably have an admin assistant to do. OMG - it's so much fun! I think I've discovered my transition to retirement plan - just gradually scale down the ladder until I get to the bottom rung and then stay there until they kick me out.

I think there's a small s schoolies and a capital S Schoolies. Our dept is one of the players in the big S one and our OHS team has a lot of involvement.

Are they not your WHS team now? Just curious. I thought all states had converted?

To WHS as opposed to OHS.

I don't know, but I'm sure you're right. I've been out of that area for a while so was just using a generic title. We call our OHS/WHS team SWIM (Safety, Wellbeing and Injury Management) anyway.
