Actually that's really helpful. Writing a paper on this at the moment. Interesting that we seek to standardise health and safety legislation across the states and yet team names don't reflect that.

Anyway it's after hours......time for some laksa.....

Jonesy. Just to clarify FYI.

HSR is what we call our health and safety reps in Victoria these days (used to be called OH&S rep up until about 2 years ago), but OHS is still used here; e.g. as in OH&S training.

So I got the WHS to SWIM down to OHS as I neede some new trakkie dacks....am I close?? Didn't think so but I'm feeling A LOT safer knowing you peeps are onto it.

Happy did I see you say back there that if I cross the border the beaches are better? As in back into NSW? The NSW beaches are better? Just want to be clear on that...:H but I agree with Missy, Far North QLD is gorgeous.

Apologies for late reply re the gorgeous lunch. The boys were simply adorable. Weather was nice enough to dine al fresco - we shared a Sharing Plate for starters, some wonderful jalopeno bread, had various mains - all excellent. I realised how nice it was to be with "normies". Two of them had a G&T, one a whiskey & coke. One had a glass of red with his mains. Three blokes, a total of four drinks over a 2 hr. period. We came back to my place where they produced some lovely cheeses/grapes/quince paste and bikkes. No further AL was consumed.

You know ... I often read on these pages, how all alcohol is poison. I'm afraid I can't agree with that sentiment. These guys were a perfect example of people who can enjoy a glass or two and not need/want more. Wish I'd been that smart when I was their age.

Froglette, I so agree with your statement. Literally it's horses for courses. I can't MAKE my locusts not drink. All I can do is give them the knowledge to choose to drink wisely. And, whilst its early days none of them are near to what I was at similar age. I can't predict the future. I can only see them so far. But I won't demonise something to them for the sake of it either.

I'm confused ...... I didn't think it was your birthday Happy????

We went to pay for our dinner tonight only to have Mr B's card declined. Odd? we thought and checked our account as the rent goes out on Friday so we knew we had enough in there to cover it ........ only to discover that the account has been cleaned out by someone making ATM withdrawals in Bangkok over the last 24 hours :upset:

The bank were great when we contacted them ..... and thank goodness we realised early (and before the rent payment got bounced!!) !!!!

Sometimes I just feel like sticking money under my mattress!!

OH NOOOOO Missy - that's awful, you poor thing. :h:h I hope it all gets sorted OK and they don't make you cancel everything and have to jump through too many hoops to get it fixed.

Happy, I think you are the only one that can definitively confirm or deny your birthday :H

All will be fine re our bank account ...... I'm just really glad we caught it early, as we usually only use it on Saturday to do the weekly shop, but we transferred our rent money into it on the weekend!! We have been eager beavers savings to pay for our wedding next year, so we just have to break into that to pay the rent and pay a penalty for a withdrawal (it is a savings only account). And the bank says they expect to refund the money within the next 4-5 weeks. (Although Id like to know who gets to use it in the mean time!!!) They asked a whole bunch of questions that allow them to forensically determine how it came to happen ...... they think it was a "skimmer" attached to a mobile EFT-POS device and apparently they are common in taxis (we went out on Saturday night and caught a taxi home .... and soon after that was when the money started coming out in dribs and drabs fro an ATM in Bangkok!!.)

Bloody hell Missy! as you say just as well you caught it earlier rather than later.

Just been out for a dodgy Indian birthday dinner. As it is, actually my birthday. Glorious day full of meals....I am not fading away to a shadow anytime soon. Just tucking into a tea and cupcake to finish off....ro roh look out scales on Thursday...
