One Step at a Time - August 2015

Morning everyone.
Yes Blue 1 I am going to spend most of the day with Paul. Going to a "taste" event and to the park for a walk. He and Dave like exercise so going for a nice walk is a good way to talk and get to know each other and it is cheap!!
I think Jerry is finally out of the picture. His health is so iffy and he just doesnt get it and I cant be with someone who has so little self care. I think he wants someone to take care of him and I just cant/wont. Sad because he is a really nice man.
But I can not dwell on that. So drinking my green smoothie then shower and off I go. Beautiful day to be outside.

I leave Monday Blue and I did not get my review, but we were insanely busy getting ready for our trip.
Just in from getting my hair cut and colored and had the doctor check my sinuses. Infection is gone but still really stopped up so I am on Mucinex and Flonase for now.

Mama - I am glad that you went to the Dr. I'll bet your hair is beautiful.

I guess everyone is out & about today. I've just been lazing around and loving every minute of it.

We've had a good time the last couple of days. It was my someday daughter-in-law's birthday yesterday. Well, we didn't know for sure if we would see her on her birthday so we decided to decorate on Thursday evening. I got decorations from the movie 'Frozen' and got her some little goodies from that movie - snack cups, fun pack, stickers and a headband.
But, the main present was tickets to the group 'Heart' at the Hollywood Bowl. She loves 80's music. I had taped the printout of the concert to the back of the package with the headband. She was just loving all the little gifts and held up the headband to show my son. Suddenly, she saw that Heart concert. She was thrilled.
She texted me later and said that she had never had a surprise party with presents and decorations. She pretty much raised her younger brothers & sisters since she was about 12. So, it was nice to spoil her.
Then last night we took them out to dinner. It was a fun time.

Nora- how clever you are to decorate your daughter-in-law's birthday surprise with items from the movie "Frozen." No wonder she was delighted! I would be too! Nora, what a cute idea you had! I'm glad she was thrilled and that you made her day special. She's lucky to have you! It does sound like a lot of fun. Sometimes it is fun to make a fuss. I'm thinking about giving Mark a birthday party (family) when he gets home. His birthday is the day after Labor Day. I'm perusing magazines for recipes. I loved doing that back before, well you know.
Rusty, I'm glad your enjoying your surroundings! We had a pretty nice day here too.
Mama, you looks beautiful! Your poor son must be miserable with that sunburn!
Dottie, sounds like a very pleasant day ahead.
I cleaned a little today, sat in the pool and read. Went shopping with sissy. Bought a shirt and a little black dress! Ate very healthy today, tonight not so much. Darn it. Gelato, chips, cake, trail mix, so I walked Lucy a bit. Anyway, all in all a good day. Have a good night my loves.

Well, I am back at my hotel after a fun day in Park City, a little grocery shopping and A workout. Time to go for a swim and soak in the hot tub. Hope everyone is having a great night.

Had a really nice day with Paul. We talked a lot and he is very nice and considerate. Didnt try to jump my bones or anything. Novel lately.....
Heard from Jerry and I just have to stop answering his emails I guess. Wish I didnt like him so I could just be mean and kick him to the curb but I am not like that. sigh...
Church tomorrow then train club meeting.

Good Morning, Friends!

It is another gorgeous day here in Utah and I am so looking forward to sharing the Mormon Tabernacle choir. I am also going to try and get to Little Cottonwood Canyon to do some walking however that may be kind of tricky because the Tour of Utah is going on. The Tour of Utah is a pro bike race that parallels the Tour de France but is said to be even more challenging because of the huge altitude changes.

Nora, I am feeling a little better, thank you for asking. :-)

Morning all -

I drove my son to work this morning. He told me that his girlfriend cried on her way home Thursday evening because she was so happy & touched that we decorated for her. :tears_of_joy:
I'm so grateful that they have each other.

I am having another lazy day today. It's going to be a long week - people on vacation. So, I'm resting up for it.

I haven't been going anywhere by myself if I can avoid it so that I don't have temptation. I took my son by myself and on the way home I stopped by the grocery store to drop off a redbox. I didn't have any problems at all. I had one fleeting thought as I was driving and then it was gone. Wish everyday was this easy. LOL

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day.

Off to train club meeting. Then need to stop at grocery.
Church was good. They played a song I used at hubbs funeral and I lost it. Haven't cried at church since coming back but I just couldn't help it. My friends understood.

That sounds like fun Dottie! And I love walking...although I haven't done much this summer 😞 cause I usually walk with one of my sister's...and she hasn't been going.
