That's good news about your liver Rava, and I'm presuming the rest or the results were just as positive.

Thanks for the explanation dill, the only tests I had were the treadmill type.

No snow yet, but supposed to get 8 - 10" by Tuesday when it starts to let up.

Good morning Cafe friends. It is wonderful to be home. While we are quite busy, I plan to be checking in on a rather regular basis. Good new on the liver enzymes, Rava. I miss the Sunday check in, Cowboy. I always considered it an important feature of the forum. However, I realize that enthusiasm was lacking. Wishing you all the best weekend possible. Blessings x

Great news about the liver enzymes, Rava!

I was a Star Trek fan as a child, and I also enjoyed Star Trek Next Generation. Of course I've been to all the Star Trek movies over the years.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Almost forgot to checkin! Headed out for a few days of adventure tomorrow but will try to check in.

Great news on the liver, Rava.

Greetings all! I'll take another.

(I'm not a doctor so you probably shouldn't listen to me) but you're unlikely to blow your liver out with one drinking episode, it's usually a gradual decline over years of chronic drinking (which I'm well familiar with). That being said, it is of course always better for your liver not to drink at all! And good to hear your LFT''s fine!
I have a weird thing going with my liver where all my LFT's are back to normal, except my billirubin is higher than when I was drinking; no doctor has been able to explain it, but also don't seem to be that worried about it... so I'm trying not to be either, though I still find it a tad strange/disconcerting.

Good Sunday morning cafe! Looks like I'm too early for breakfast, so I guess that I'll come back later for leftovers.

Good morning Cafe. Welcome back Techie! Glad you are home. Mul, I understand what you mean about not blowing the liver out with 1 episode. Chronic drinking was a big part of my life, now it seems like the drinking was more binge as my brain is telling me that I cant drink for a while so drink all you can, fast and furious while you can. I don’t understand when that thought process started. Crazy. Life is better with NO booze which eliminates all the stupid chatter. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. I am also too early for Cowboys breakfast. Happy Sunday Everyone! 24 more please and thank you.

Mul, it's good your doc is monitoring your liver function. Since I am on statins I am monitored as well. I really trust my doctor and leave it up to her to tell me when I need to worry. Of course, she wouldn't just say I should worry. She would make appropriate referrals. How do you feel about your doctor?

Have a great adventure, Ginger! Will you have your sidekick with you with his kitty stroller?

I'm going to have another cup of coffee while I wait for our Sunday morning treat. 24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Great to have you back techie! The Shout Out thread died a slow death, just didn't see the reason for keeping it going for just a couple of us. You could always use the Roll Call thread on Sunday's though.

And as I mentioned, there's lots of snow for me to shovel this morning, got to keep on top of it as it's going to snow for most of the day again today.

Does everyone see this message at the top of the page, "Please note the forum will be closed shortly for planned maintenance"? No dates so I'm not sure when this might happen. I noticed it late last night when I checked in. Heads up!

Mulberry, high bilirubin? Two of my babies had that shortly after they were born. One, they put under lights that simulated sun light and the other, they just had me place his bassinet in a sunny window. Hmmmm, wonder if that would help you?

Cyrus is coming along! He's a popular boy around here so we had several people offer to keep an eye on him but I just couldn't leave him behind. He's my little buddy!

Yummy brekkie, ABC! I'll take another.

The new family doctor I have seems fine, though I haven't seen him a lot yet. A locum doctor I was seeing briefly, and also an alergist/immunologist all didn't seem to be too alarmed by the living readings either (since all other LFT's were fine) so at least I've had some second opinions (sort of).

I think babies have a special condition that can affect billirubin, think it works different for adults. I do actually get lot's of sun (when I can), and ironically my bili levels were worst in the summer (but I suspect that may have been partly due to being sick at the time).
