Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...

Continuing on this sober path. Please, need and want 24 AF hours. Thank you. Felt bad that yesterday I complained of heat and wanting rain. My apologies to anyone in TX!.. My bad. Still praying.

empyr3al - Haven't taken GABA. It helped my mom with nerve pain. Hope it helps you. Good news that your Dr said your looking better. Very glad to hear you don't feel suicidal. I've had suicide ideology off and on. Attempted it twice many years ago. Was admitted for OD in 2001. My BAL was almost at comatose level. Spent time in therapy, RX's. Have never found any RX's including working with an ND. Much of my depression stems from childhood trauma and situational depression. I read something on Abbers thread about I'll always have tendencies, but it's manageable while sober. Think it was Determinator. I follow him as he also has suffered much. Hard to write this and don't want to upset anyone!... Think it helps me to be vulnerable and share. Tho, I don't like talking about it. It was a long time ago. Oh and wondering if when Sadie (think your pup's name) is chewing everything in sight have you caught her in act? If so do you offer her alternative? They are like toddlers and need diversion tactics. Hope you have a decent day.

dill - I use Retaine for eyes. Eye Dr gave me samples. Then bought a box. There individual use. Wished it was a bottle. I'll try your recommendation when I'm out. What RX are you using for cholesterol? My recent physical my was 292. Has never been this bad. HDL good. Dr wants to put me on Lipitor. Not sure. There are lawsuits. Have a predisposition towards diabetes. I didn't realize our livers play a major roll. Was suppose to take risk assessment and call Dr last wk. I better get on it. Just lowered my thyroid RX as this also affects. Feel very sluggish and joint pains. Having air hunger. Have only been smoking 1/4-1/2 pk. As Betty White said getting old isn't for sissies. Lol

Pauly - If I had a dime (raised for inflation) for every time I drank beer to settle stomach, I'd have cashed in and taken a nice trip around the moon and back. My BFF hubs drinks a lot of beers for his stomach ills. He's a more functional alkie than me. Just so glad you came right back here to your 2nd family for support. Your a smart woman and will overcome this nasty affliction. Have never forgotten what Mollymoo wrote you. I use it all the time to help. It helps when a person comes to terms that alcohol for an alcoholic is nothing but poison. Only harming myself. Hope you have a good day. Nice customers, who tip generously.

@ Mr Vervil - :congrats: on your awesome 90 days!.. Nothing wrong with tooting your own horn. You should be proud!.. Thanks for making me laugh with your wife's comments and yours. Get that mirror away from me. Lol. Thankful we can find the humor in life. Well done mate!

On phone so hope this turns out okay. Hope everyone has a decent AF day. Thank you everyone for being here.

Wildflowers, I take a generic form of Lipitor. I've been on it forever. Haven't had any problems with it at 20mg but when I tried taking 40mg it seemed to worsen my dry eye condition and also caused dry mouth for me. But everyone is different. Thank you for sharing about your battle with depression. I am so glad that you are able to manage it. I so enjoy having you in my life!
Mr Vervill, big congrats to you! It is a real achievement and you must feel proud of yourself!

            24 for me please.

Harvest is underway, working on field peas right now and hopefully finish those 1000 acres by Saturday. It's like a vacation for me, get away from the physical challenges of construction, and just sit in a seat and push buttons and turn corners lol. But with seeding and harvest, I'm around alcohol everyday at supper, I drink my Coke or Pepsi while watching everyone have their cold beer, it's not an issue for me anymore and the whole crew accepts that I don't drink.

Please, I want and need 24 AF hours. Thank you. Cooler weather today. Have people coming over to buy clients items. Later errands and sorting through other customers personal belongings. It's very hard on elderly letting go of their personal belongings. Sometimes I cry with them.

dill - Thank you for saying that your glad I'm here. Last time when I went awall and returned with tail between legs you said you hoped I'd stay put this time. This type of encouragement is often what a person needs. Understanding, encouragement. My depression is best managed by staying away from poisonous/ethanol. Hubs told me it was in 2002. My BAC was .36, daughter said point .38. Grateful, most the time to be here. Thank you for sharing about Lipitor. My GP takes it as well. Have had same PC for 20 years. He opens up to me and has shared many things.

May everyone's day be decent/good.

I just lost like 500-1000 word post about Gabapentin vs Valium and questions because my puppy plays with my power cords. Set up blockades now. I swore we had a power outage, maybe she just hit the reset button on the surge protector.

So pharma says 300/day for a week on a schedule, move to 600, then 900. That seems like maintenance and not the initial days. The bottle is huge! I've never had a pill bottle this large. 180*300 for a month. Anyone used this with AWS as my specialist was more secure with me using it than valium doing home detoxing (yeah it happens fast for me, like 2 days and not like a hang over, I'm right back kindled where I began). So what doses do you take yourself down right away and then take yourself down at. Its taken 40, 26, 12, 8, 4, nearly normal oz for 24 or more. Then I get cleaning up this mess I made. Getting the sweats for the first time in months of doing this. I had a fit per say (lapse) so anyone with experience replacing this instead of valium for AWS? Should I hit it hard or take my time when the symptoms hit? Whats its lag time?
