Just wanted to share this with Dill or anyone interested. This is a snap shot from my Underwater fishing camera video. Our pond is murky and you cant see anything. We have seen turtles and ducks swimming underwater too with this little gadget!

That’s really a fun camera, Rava! Is it a shared pond in your condo community in Florida?
Fascinating to hear about stocking your pond with fish, Dill.
I hope you get a low-key day to just enjoy being together, Jude. You’re still recovering from illness after all, so need a rest day.
I guess it is Sunday! Thanks for breakfast, Cowboy.
I drove to my mother’s area an hour away and went out to dinner with her and visited for awhile in her apartment. It was comforting and actually pretty nice! My little sister & her family, whom my mother lives near, are gone to Florida for Spring Break; so, thought I should step up in their absence.
Happy Sunday!Last edited by Slo; April 6, 2025, 06:58 AM.Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.

Good morning Cafe. Slo, yes that is a shared pond in our community. I throw the camera in and run the line into my back porch and watch whatever swims by. LOL. It’s got like a 100 foot line so there is plenty of room to watch from anywhere. I am glad your visit with your mom went well. Thats always a plus! Hope everyone has a good Monday. 24 more please and thank you!

Cowboy, the pond has a deep area that we made so the fish could winter over. When the pond was dug the deepest spot was 14feet. I imagine it is less so now with the passage of time. We built it in 1993.
Rava, what a great idea! That underwater camera would be fun to have. I looked at them on Amazon and saw there was quite a wide range of prices. I'll be doing some research on that. I bet Mr. D would like one for his birthday.
It's been raining buckets here lately but today we finally get some sun! I'll take it!
24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.Dill

Dill, what kind of fish do you stock the pond with? We have a stream that passes through our property which is stocked with trout every Spring. When I'm sitting on the porch, sometimes I can hear the sounds of the water running over the rocks from the stream and it's so peaceful.
Slo, glad that you had a nice visit with your mother, and it sounds like it was good for both of you.
Thinking that it might be a good beach day as I think that it's supposed to rain tomorrow. Yesterday my sister and I went to a huge flea market and bought a few things. I'm so grateful for the time that I was able to spend with my sisters, something that we don't do often enough.
24 more for all of us please...

Jude, that’s great if you can get a beach day in while in Florida. That’s right; you love sitting on your porch when the season permits.
Yesterday my sister was pet-sitting for my daughter & her HB (he got chicks and is building a chicken coop), so I went over there for the afternoon and watched a movie with her. I was low energy and in some pain and not feeling well, so it was comforting.
Dill, you have lived there for a long time! That’s the same year that ex-HB & I had built our home. Time flies.
I had to add my SSRI Lexapro back in today, at 5mg. This B6 toxicity recovery causes a lot of terrible symptoms of depersonalization, derealization, anxiety, terror, depression…and I’m really struggling. Many people need to use an SSRI or something similar in order to get through it. Looks like I need to too.
Today I am having lunch with my former sisters-in-law and Uncle Don, to celebrate Uncle Don’s 95th birthday!
I wish you all a great day.Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

Good morning Cafe. Dill, I got the camera on Tik Tok for 49.00. They come in two lengths. Get the 98 foot one. They are more expensive on Amazon. I am going to post a picture of it. Slo Hope the Lexapro helps. Hope you had a good lunch celebrating your Uncle Dons 95th! Thats quite a milestone. Hi to everyone here. Off to my volunteer job today. 24 more please and thank you.

That's a pretty cool camera Rava, could be useful for a lot of things.
Hope the visit and b-day lunch went well Slo, 95 is amazing.
A few farmers around here stock trout in their dugouts dill, but they use those small windmills for aeration over the winter.
Hope you got in your beach day Jude and enjoyed some time in the sun.Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...

Jude we stocked it with freshwater fish. We have catfish in there and bass, crappie, and minnows. We also have some huge koi. We put 7 in some years ago, but I think we are down to 5 now. This go round we bought some channel catfish, hybrid bluegill, white amur (grass carp), standard bluegill, hybrid striped bass, and red ear (sunfish). It is great that you can hear that babbling brook. Such a soothing sound.
Thanks for the info on that camera, Rava, and the picture of it as well. It makes sense to get the longer line. I'll look for it.
Cowboy, is dugout the word you use for a manmade pond?
Ginger, you sure sound like you are on-the-go!
Slo, I hope the lexapro helps. And I agree, time flies! Just where did all those years go?
I think we are going to learn something about the status of our local hospital today. The Administration is holding a town hall meeting, and I imagine they'll share any current info that can.
24 more for all of us please and thank you.

I had a wonderful long lunch with ex-HB’s two sisters, the one’s longtime friend, the other one’s caregiver, and his uncle. Such nice people! Uncle Don is amazing; ageless, timeless, funny, and a great conversationalist. It makes me wish I was still in the fold, but at least they still include me.
The Lexapro is helping already. At least it is only half as much as I was taking before.
I finally slept well last night through the night.
It is fun to hear about all the kinds of fish you stock your pond with, Dill.
Hope you have another good day in Florida with your sisters, Jude.
Is it raining where you are there, Rava? Then it’s a good day to go to work.
Tonight I get to babysit 2 y/o Huxley.
24 more hours please!
