Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!

Waking up clear headed is one of the best feelings ever Peachie, and glad you're backing away from any family drama.

I imagine your truck will be full of stuff for the trip home Ginger from the sounds of all the packing you're doing. Mostly suitcases I presume?

What a great idea to teach the g-kids mahjong Rava, one more thing to do as a family. The bell peppers lose a lot of flavor after cooking for a few hours, but I know that lots of people find them too strong.

That's sad news about the kittens Jude, but hopefully the mother cat makes a full recovery and finds a forever home. You'll make a great foster mom if you decide to go that route.

I love the stuffed cabbage as well dill, even better if it's the sour cabbage. Have fun at Jungle Jim's today, I'm not one for experiencing strange foods, mostly a simple meat and potatoes man lol. And we do the same when pork or beef loins go on sale, get it cut into 1" chops or steaks then vacuum pack and freeze them in pairs.

The peppers turned out great! They were so big that I had to use 2 pots to cook them all and one shared was more than enough for a meal for Bubba and I. Today is putting the rest in containers and freezing them.

      Not today...

Hi Cafe. So sorry about the kittens Jude. If Mumma pulls through I'm sure she will love being home with you, even if it's just for a while. Bless you.

Had a reasonably quiet day. I have decided to give my house a really good clean. Got stuck into the kitchen and enjoyed the effort and results. Sat down for little rests but carried on.

Rava you are an inspiration to me too! Go girl.

Cowboy glad you enjoyed your peppers. I often look in my freezer and then talk to the things inside and tell them what I am going to cook with them. It's hard when cooking for one cos it takes a long time to eat them up so when I get sick of them I just freeze them and start something new. Or they just sit in
        the fridge. Lol.

Dill, are you ready for home or quite happy to stay for awhile?

Ginger, hope you have a great time moseiying it home with little sis. Is that even a word?

I'm feeling very peaceful about leaving the drama behind. I've had enough dramas in my life to bother about people judging me and being mean. One positive thing about old age.

        Ok I've rattled on enough.

Goodnight everyone and have a great day.
        Xxx

Good morning cafe! Not much going on here today. I should start on my Spring cleaning but I have very little ambition for the project. Maybe tomorrow...

24 more for all of us please...

If it wasn't a word, it is now Peachie, and it fits right in here lol. I hear you on the cooking, I find it hard to decide what to make from day today without it getting boring.

I've got lots of spring cleaning to do in the garage and my shop Jude, but it can wait till the weather is warmer. And I've also got 2 garage doors to install as soon as the weather is better.

Waves to the rest of the gang!

                Not today...

Good morning Cafe. We are headed to the beach with 3 other couples who are drinkers. I am feeling very confident that I will not be joining them. I am bringing my tea and snacks and my kindle. We are also invited to one of the couples houses for wings. I am gonna get thru this today. No temptation so far. Peachie, I am glad that you will avoid the family drama. We can’t pick our families!!! Cowboy, glad those peppers turned out well. Hey to Jude, Ginger, Dill and Mul. Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday.

Well, speaking of inspiration, I appreciate your talk of giving the kitchen a good clean, Peachie. I need to get started on a spring cleanup, but I'm lacking the necessary enthusiasm. I think once I get started, I'll get into the swing of things. Oh, and I am not a "snowbird". I am not pulling up stakes and heading north or south. That would be Ginger and Rava. I'm thinking Cowboy accidentally used my name in a previous post when he meant to use Ginger's name and it confused you. No, Mr. D and I have a farm in Ohio and we are homebodies. We don't feel comfortable leaving for long periods of time. I envy those who do! But it's not in my nature.

Cowboy, I remember back in the Fall when you were hopeful about having a spate of warm weather so you could get those doors up. It sure never happened that way for any of us this past winter!

Jude, not much going on here today either, but I need a quiet day, so it's a good thing.

Ginger, I can't remember what you said about how your sister was getting back home. Is she driving alone or with someone? I'm glad you had such a lovely visit with her. I hope this hot weather that's been plaguing you is just a freak event and clears out.

We had a great time yesterday at Jungle Jim's International Market Place. As is turns out, gdaughter is taken with Australia at the moment. She was hunting the aisles for Tim Tams and Vegemite! LOL! The place was huge and it took a while, but we finally found the Australian section. She was quite pleased with the Tim Tams, but I haven't heard feedback yet from her on the Vegemite. I have my doubts that she will take to it, but we shall see! Besides the Australian selection we decided to try a dragon fruit and a young coconut. I picked up some Thai Basil. Mostly we were just looking. It's a wonderful world!

                    OK, 24 more, please.

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Leaving today for home. Little sis is riding home with us via Utah and all their gorgeous national parks. We won't get home until the 31st.

If I don't check in, just know there's no AL on our travels north!

Love you guys like family! I'll join you all in a lifetime of AF living.

There is a cyclone heading down the West Australian Coast at the moment. Yikes.
