Evening Cafe. Been a nice quiet day today. We did have a little group of kids racing around this morning with their Easter Eggs. Very boisterous and happy! I remember when my kids were little on Easter and Christmas Day. All the kids in the neighborhood coming out with their new bikes and skateboards. Such happy times. Mike (my late husband) and I used to host a BBQ breakfast on Christmas Morning then head off to my parents for a fab Christmas Lunch and the family's kids never got out of their pool. Such cherished moments. Ben used to climb up on my Dad's shed and bombie into the pool. Lol. Sorry just rambling again. Put a smile on my face tho.

Hope everyone is enjoying this Easter. Fingers crossed for Mumma kitty Jude. My two are in for the night, had their dinner and snoozing.

Yummy Easter brunch, ABC! Thanks as always for feeding us so well. I would have loved to been home to watch that wall go in but Erick's crew had to do it during their less busy time. They don't typically do residential jobs. Thankful!

Ginger, if the mama cat recovers I plan on fostering her until she finds a permanent home. I'm pretty sure that she will turn into a "foster fail" though, but we shall see.

We're supposed to get some snow tonight but only an inch or so. Wacky weather for sure. One day it's 65 degrees, the next day it's 35!

Wacky weather for sure, Jude! We woke up to 29F this morning and tomorrow will be even colder! The daytime temps will climb up to near normal, so at least that is something.

Rava, I thought I'd read a bit about the American version of Mahjong; how it's played, a history of the game, etc., so I got a book from the library. Is the version you play the American version?

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter. Ours was nice but had to be spent indoors due to the chilly, damp, windy weather. No matter. We enjoyed our meal and each other. Outdoor fun will come another day.

The easiest way for you to learn the game is on You Tube, Southern Sparrow Mahj 101 series. Mr R watched a few of them and he is slowly learning to play with me. He said it’s only with me or the grands and he is not playing with a bunch of ladies. LOL. I had a book to learn but found the you tube series so much better! Good luck. Weird weather everywhere but I'm so thankful for the 70f day we enjoyed yesterday. There were lots of extra kids and an egg hunt at my sons. So much fun for the littles. It's good to be home!

Jude, I hope, hope, hope mama kitty makes it so YOU can give her the soft place to land.

We're having the same type of weather up here dill and Jude, but still freezing temps overnight and not much above freezing during the day.

A friend that lives in Calgary sent me a pic of the snow they were getting there yesterday, and I thought of you Cowboy.... meanwhile I'm enjoying then nicest, warmest weather of the year. Just that perfect temperature (17/18C) where you can enjoy being out in the sun for hours but don't get too hot. Had some easter time with my brother Fri & Sat but he's working again last couple days, so had some very long luxurious strolls down by the ocean enjoying the sunshine the last couple days.

Good morning cafe!

Mama kitty is doing better but she's not out of the woods yet. She came into the rescue with about 10 other cats that came from a hoarding situation. Two of them have died so far, but the rest of them seem like their holding on. They have Calici virus which has a high mortality rate. None of them showed any signs of illness when they were taken in, but after a few days many of them have become ill. It's a nasty virus which could have been prevented through vaccination, but people that hoard cats usually don't have the funds to do so. They mean well but just feeding the cats is not enough.

Ya Mulburry, Calgary has had some terrible spring weather so far this year. There's been so many vehicle accidents there this spring with the snow and freezing rain they are getting.

Sure hope the mama cat makes it Jude, not sure why people would want so many pets that they can't take care of.
