Good morning Cafe. Jude, a trip to the dump is a fun time for Mr. R and I. We take our golf cart to the dumpster each night and then ride thru the neighborhood looking at all the homes. Dill, hope your volunteer job settles a bit and that you continue to do it and get back what you like about it. I dont do any volunteer work up north. We do go to the gym and I take zumba so that fills 5 mornings a week. Cowboy, sounds like the rain has been torrential. Hope it dries up for you soon. Hi to Ginger and Peachie! Hope everyone has a great and sober day! 24 more please and thanks.

5:17am in Alberta, I'll have another 24 please, and thanks...

In the last 24 hours, these friends have joined in for 24 hours of wellness:
      Jude58 Rava Peachie dill Ginger999

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

I don't envy your trip to the dump Jude, I'm always worried about getting a flat tire when going anywhere near construction debris.

It's going to take a few days to dry up enough to get back into the field Rava, and of course there will be more water holes to seed around.

Waves to the rest of the gang!

The rain is finally over, sure hope we see some sunshine soon.

        Not today...

Evening Cafe. Bit late tonight. Here's a story for you. I'm sitting here watching TV and I've left the door open a wee bit to let some fresh air in. My cats feeding station is behind me and I heard one of them jump up for a snack. Anyway I turn around to see which one it is and there's Zorro munching on their dinner!!! Lol. Honestly what next! Even when I jumped up to shoo him out he still kept munching away. He has no shame at all.

Anyway that's my bit of excitement for the evening.

Hope all is well with everybody.

Omg! Peachie! That's hilarious. I think Boo Kitty could take a lesson or two from Zorro. Lol How did the girls feel about his smell around their feeding station? Haha

ABC, praying "the sun comes out and dries up all the rain" and not just for the incy, wincy spider!

Jude, I think a dump run kinda sounds fun. I know, I'm a weirdo but I always see good lumber that I want to salvage! I'm glad BK is coming around!

Rava, we see a lot of people doing the garbage run and driving around the resort after, when we are in AZ. Guess it's a thing!

Dill, any more Lily/Pumpkin updates? Is slow progress still being made?

Yesterday was a successful work day for me and Gdaughter. We were able to make several large items for VBS. The theme is the Rainforest so we made a tiki hut, a giant log, 4 snakes and a palm tree. Mr G came and wrangled the littles while we worked. He was more tired than I was! Life is good, I'll take another.

Cowboy, we feel the same way about trips to the dump! The other thing we live in fear of is honey locust thorns! We have a lot of honey locusts here on our farm and those thorns are murder on truck and tractor tires.

Jude, your kitty's name has evolved to something more suitable, eh? It's funny how that happens as you get to know each other.

Rava, Peachie and Ginger, waves to you all.

My morning got away from me. My cleaning helper was supposed to arrive at 11:30am, but late last night she asked if she could come at 8:00am instead. I told her what ever works for her was fine. But I wasn't expecting the change so I had to get all my picking up and putting away things done this morning before 8:00. My whole morning was turned upside down, but it was worth it! She had her daughter and two little nieces in tow so Mr. D and I spent some time with them around the pond and down on the swing in the valley. They are such delightful kiddos! (Ages 10, 8 and 4)

Beautiful day for another 24 hours of freedom.

              Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.
