Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...

That's beautiful Rava and it really is true, I need to keep that in my mind cuz like Dill said I'm having a hard time staying positive, I can get positive but it fades after a bit, also doesn't help that my daughter and the bad baby daddy have been like oil and water lately and she unloads on me but don't take any advice, guess all I can do is listen, Cowboy, glad little Hank is better yes our mayor looking like a fool in that interview, I get what she's saying I really do but can you imagine if they did just open up what might happen? I doubt many people would be coming here anyways, probably gonna be a long time til I cut hair according to the governor here so I applied for a grocery store yesterday, bad part is in our county you need a food handlers card and a sheriff's card to work in a store(even gas stations) and those offices are closed, maybe they'll hire and wait on the cards, such a weirdo time right now, 5:40 am in Vegas another 24

Another 24 hours please & thank you.

Yesterday when Jessie and I walked, we came up to a dad walking his kids, a boy about 5 and a girl about 3. The little girl looked at us and asked her dad if I was a bad guy. He said Maybe. I was disappointed in his reply, wanted to say something, but let it go. This virus has changed a lot of people and a lot of things.

Cool but sunny this morning as we head out on our morning walk.

Stay safe, stay healthy and stay af everyone!

Pauly, I saw your mayor on the news yesterday. Interesting interview. Can't imagine distancing in casinos but like you said, people on their own might stay away.

Dill, I love my Shark! I use it everyday to keep up with all the Ginger hair.

ABC, glad Hank's feeling better. I wish you and Baba could get back to normal. Hopefully soon.

Rava, thanks for another good quote! I'm struggling with my mental health right now. With all the trails closed my heart is heavy. I need my trails and nature to keep my brain straight. I'm thankful for my home and view of the mountains. So much to be thankful for. I need to remember that.

        24 more, please.

It sounds as though a lot of us are feeling rather down lately, myself included. I'm trying to stay positive, but at times it's really hard. I keep reminding myself how much worse everything would be if I were still drinking. Not only would I wake up depressed, but with a hangover to boot!

The vet came out to see Homer on Thursday, and gave him a good exam. Of course, on that day, Homer showed very little lameness at all! Kinda like when your car is making funny noises but as you pull into the mechanics shop the noise goes away! The vet did find that Homer has a condition called scratches, which is a bacterial skin infection located on the back side of a horses pastern. ( what would be our ankle) I have to treat it with an iodine solution, which means that I will get to see him everyday!
Hope that everyone is doing well. Keep your chin up!

Gratefully looking forward to another sober day!

. Good morning. As our lives slowly start to get back to normal we may remember this time as cherished time with our families. We will never know until we look back at this situation. Hopefully we will all come out on the other side stronger and wiser. Hope everyone has a good day. Lots of rain forecasted today. Another 24 for me please and thank you.

Jude, I'm glad Homer is improving and that he checked out nearly ok by the vet. He'll be ready and waiting for you when things open up.

That was a good quote yesterday Rava. Now is the most important. But I think Eckhart must realize the future is a "now" in waiting and what we do right now makes our future now better or worse, depending. You have been putting some really good quotes out this week. I've thought about each and every one of them. Thank you!

Ginger, I didn't get the most recent Shark with the self-cleaning brush, but I don't let Tessa in the house except at night to sleep, so pet hair is not a big issue for me. However, I love my new shark! Also, the lady who cleans for me was please too. I asked her for her recommendation before hand since she uses it as much as me if not more. She was glad I included her in the process. You know, it makes no sense to me that hiking trails would be closed. Seems cruel and unnecessary.

Pauly, I completely understand your mayor wanting to get the economy going. I didn't see the press conference. These are really hard times for everyone, including our elected officials. No matter which way they decide to go with the decisions about the economy they are going to have protests. I hope you can get hired to work in the grocery store. Surely they'll wave those credentials...Kind of irritates me that there even is such a thing! Just another way for the government to increase their revenues.

QW, that was an unfortunate thing that dad said to his daughter, but who knows what they may be dealing with. Covid actually makes us all dangerous I suppose. Lord knows how all this is going to impact the children in the long run.

Uh oh, I think I may have crossed the no politics line? I hope not. I promise to be more careful in the future!

No politics involved in this next statement: 24 more please and thank you!

You didn't cross the line about politics dill lol. I agree, I'd hate to be a politician in times like this! I've always tried to be opened-minded about elected officials, after all, they did get elected. But with some of the statements being made by politicians worldwide, you'd wonder how they got into power in the first place!

I don't think you crossed any political line Dill, it is true though that this virus has been made a political issue by political people themselves and by the different sides of politics, it should be about the people and also the economy, they need to figure out a way to balance it out, there that's all I'm saying on that, I think everyone was blindsided when I first heard of coronaviris it was just some illness overseas and by the time I heard of it here, I had thought it had already gone away over there and no way would it impact any of us, Jude glad Homer is ok, hopefully the treatment makes him feel 100% 5:58 am in Vegas another 24

Dill, you didn’t cross any political line in my opinion. I’m cynical much of the time and have a low tolerance for BS. You mentioned the reopening of the economy as a way for government to increase revenues. I always try to follow the money trail in any controversial situation. For example, how many politicians around the world benefitted from insider trader information? How many elected officials are benefitting from economic incentives intended to help people and businesses that really need them? Far too many. And, many elected officials are hiding or downplaying how they’ve benefitted. Instead they hope we’ll remember how the government gave us money! They think we won’t recognize it’s our money and that we’re the ones who’ll repay these massive amounts. Actually it’s our grandkids grandkids who’ll be repaying this massive debt.

Maybe I’ve crossed the political line Dill!

It’s sunny but cool here this morning, off for a walk with Jessie.

                        Stay safe everyone!

Jude, that's great you'll get to see homer each day for treatment. Any chance that's what's causing the lameness?

Going to be heading home next week. Lots of decisions going on possible downsizing from our home to a smaller one. Trouble sleeping due to all the brain chatter. Hope everyone has a great day!
