    Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!
    Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
    Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
    Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

        Our governor pushed our open up date to May 31. People are starting to go crazy around here. I worry they may form a coup!

          May 31!?!? I have a feeling this governor here is gonna pull that too, he said may 15? But seems he likes to add on, Station Casinos just layed off a bunch of people yesterday, I'm proud of them for holding out for so long, I think they assumed they'd be opening on May first like we were told, I'm losing patience with all of this

            [MENTION=24196]Rava[/MENTION]...you made a bad decision last night, but you owned up to it. You realized your mistake, and instead of saying f**k it, you are stronger now in your decision not to drink!

            One of the women that I care for has not been well lately. She woke up yesterday with a cough and a temperature of 102.2 °. She is now in the hospital and has been tested for corona virus. We won't get the results back until after 5:30 today. I'm praying that her results are negative, and that the doctor's can find out what's wrong with her. To say the least, I am just a tad anxious right now, but I won't drink!

            Another 24 please and thank you!

              It was close to freezing this morning when we walked but I wore shorts anyway. Sunny and later on it’s to be 18C. Barbecue later on for sure.

              Here’s another Maya Angelou quote, one of my favourites. “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel”.

              Rava, sorry you slipped last evening but thanks for telling your Cafe friends. We’re always here for you.

                  Rava, you're right back where you need to be, in the café! I made a mistake yesterday too. I think I just wanted to escape. Well, it was definitely a bad decision and a waste of time and money. The escape was short lived and not worthwhile and now I feel like crap to boot.

                      Well, last night I was dealt a poor hand, and I didn't play it very well. I let all of the stress get to me and I drank. So angry with myself and the world right now!

                          Thanks for the quote this morning. I like the way Jack London puts it. We all have choices, no matter what the circumstance we can make our best choices. Something I failed to do day before yesterday. Jude, you are right back here with us and that's an excellent choice.

                          Our son and grandkids came yesterday to celebrate my birthday. We finally had a warm, sunny day so we could stay outside all day. We grilled some really good sirloin burgers on the grill. QW, I am not sure I'll ever be able to go back to ground chuck.... It was a wonderful day. I finally got those red lawn chairs and put them to good use out by the pond while the grandkids fished. It was a slice of heaven after so much isolation.

                          How's the harvest going Cowboy? Have you managed to avoid getting stuck in the mud so far?

                            Thanks for the quote Jude. We will all be waiting to hear about your friends diagnosis once its known. These times sure are trying and stressful. Isolation is hard and overwhelming for some, including me. Sorry about your slips, Dill and Jude. At least we all came back . Luckily our beaches just opened and yesterday I spent the entire day reading. My mood was lifted quite a bit. Thanks everyone for your encouraging words. I hate the fact that I’m not normal. But I realize this and know that going back that road is the wrong way. So back to the beach today with positive thoughts. Hope everyone has a great day and thanks for being here! Another 24 for me please and thank you.
