Good morning Cafe. Ginger, glad you are still doing well. PT must be so fun! (NOT). Cowboy, would be interesting in seeing how that shovel works in lighter snow. It makes sense that it wasnt as effective in the heavier stuff. Dill , glad you had a good visit with your friend yesterday and hopefully she will get to go home soon. Glad you had a nice volunteer luncheon. Jude, good luck with Peanuts vet surgery! Hey to Mul and all your rain and nasty weather. Hope it clears up soon! Our grandaughter is coming for lunch today and hopefully I can talk her into wrapping some presents for our nephews. Wishing everyone a safe and sober day! 24 more please and thank you.

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

I don't imagine Peanut will be very happy Jude, but she'll be back to normal quickly I'm sure. And like you say, it's just one of things that has to be done.
Have a good day at your volunteer job dill, glad your roads are okay to drive in. That's good news about your friend, hopefully she'll be back home before the New Year. It's nice that they put on the luncheon for the volunteers, it does show how much you are valued and appreciated.
I didn't realize there would be that much PT Ginger, and then home exercises on top of it! It'll all be worth it in the end though.
Enjoy your lunch with your granddaughter Rava, I'm sure she'll be happy to help out with the gift wrapping.
It was quite the blizzard we had yesterday Mulburry, it seems like the entire province had to suffer through it. Now comes the digging out and clean up.
Lots of snow to move this morning, some shovel work but mostly with the snowblower I think. And then it sets in again tonight and all day tomorrow again! I'm already tired of winter and it's not even winter yet lol.

Jude, good luck to Peanut! She's a lucky girl, landing where she did.
ABC, I just can't wrap my head around you using that shovel. Continued updates, please.
Dill, I'm so glad you got to visit with your friend. I bet it was good for her to see you.
Rava, that sounds like a great time today. How are you feeling?
Mul, stay as dry as possible! Hearing about all your rain, once again, makes me happy the Cascades are between me and the coast. Lol
My doc is an athlete and big outdoorsman. Maybe he requires more from his patients? I heard him say to someone else, "if all you're going to do after surgery is sit on the couch, why go through it at all?". I thought that was harsh but he's one of the best so I ignored it.
I hope everyone has a great day! I'll take another one for sure

Ya that weather you got looked nasty, saw the 80 car pile-up near Calgary. The "tired of winter" already was exactly my sentiment a few years ago when we got about a meter of snow in the the week before christmas (but then not much more in Jan/Feb). But I don't think you'll be that lucky out where you are. Here we're bracing for Storm #3 in the last four days, winds already starting (supposed to hit ~ 100km/h again)... fingers crossed for no power outage.Originally posted by abcowboy View PostIt was quite the blizzard we had yesterday Mulburry, it seems like the entire province had to suffer through it. Peanut survived her spay yesterday and she will be as good as new in a few days. Animals always amaze me in how they recover so quickly. If I had a hysterectomy I'd be in bed for a week.
Temps are in the mid forties this morning but winds are at 30-40 mph which makes it feel a lot colder, but at least it's not raining.
Waves to all!

Good to hear Peanut got through the procedure well Jude, it does amaze me as well how quickly animals recover and bounce back.
Sounds like your Dr had some peculiar bedside manners Ginger, but also sounds like a straight shooter. I'd sooner hear the nitty gritty, not the sugar coated stuff from my Dr, but that can be done in a nice way as well.
Waves to the rest of the gang...
I'm starting to sound like a broken record lol, another snowstorm came rolling through overnight and is still snowing and blowing out there. Not quite blizzard conditions, but close to it. Supposed to let up this afternoon and then the temperature drops for the weekend. More exercise for me lol.Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. Good morning Cafe. Wow it sounds like the winters are brutal where lots of you live. That must be awful when you get one storm after another. Stay safe everyone! Ginger, hope your PT is going well. Your doctor sounds like he gets results. Jude, Glad Peanut made it thru surgery. Today we are having heavy winds and rain. At least no snow. Had a nice day with granddaughter wrapping and chatting. Hope everyone has a good and safe day. 24 more please and thank you.

I miss my granddaughters! Grandsons too but it's different with the girls.
Rava, glad you enjoyed the day and you're settling in up north.
I'm glad Peanut is home and recovering. Jude, I've always been so amazed how strong animals are compared to us. Crazy!
Mul, I hope you guys don't have another winter like the one a few years back but it's looking a little wonky up in the PNW. It will be interesting to see what happens!
ABC, please take your time and rest when you get tired. That's a lot of snow, if it hits.
Hi Dill, are Lilly and Pumpkin staying out of each other's way? Sure wish those two would find some peace with each other!
We found out our neighbor here passed yesterday. I knew he was in hospital but I had no idea how bad it was. That's the bad part of 55+ living. The attrition can be deadly.
I'll take another day!
