I'm definitely a cofee drinker too but my habits might be a little different than most of yours. I don't usually drink coffee in the morning but hold off until late mornig/early afternoon when I have a bit more of a slump, or need some energy for a hike/walk. I also tend to prefer coffee cold over hot, so I'll keep some in the fridge for the next day. Usually I add a bit of almond milk (to cut the acidity) and just a touch of sweetner (maple oat milk sweetner lately).

Saw that on the news today, looks like you're getting a good dollup! We've again had a few beautiful days, still feels like spring, though it'll get a little colder over the next couple days (only very small chance of snow). We've already had some snowbells and crocuses out. We're under a winter storm warning for the next couple of days. Lots of snow, blowing snow, high winds, and the temp is supposed to drop to bitter cold. Guess the only place I'll be going is outside to shovel lol.

Good morning cafe!
Peachie, like your sister, I'm a horse lover and have had several of them over the years. I haven't ridden in quite awhile because at my age when you fall off you don't get right back on the horse but lay on the ground writhing in pain and gasping for air. Not as much fun as when I was younger.
Cowboy, hope that the storm you're getting isn't too bad. We're supposed to get a mix of snow and freezing rain today but thankfully I don't have to drive anywhere.
Waves to dill, rava, Ginger and Mul!
I'll take another day of freedom!

Good morning Cafe. Jude the cat and the washing machine was the best thing I have heard all week. That is funny. Ginger I bet you are excited to see little sis in 2 weeks. You guys will have a blast. Cowboy, I am sorry you are getting blasted with snow. I cant imagine. Yesterday after work i headed to the pool and floated around being thankful for the weather. Hope everyone has a great and sober Wednesday. We have bloodwork in the early morning tomorrow so fasting tonight. I hate when I wake up and cant have coffee. I will take a hot mug and leave it in the car for after the bloodwork! 24 more please and thank you!

The weatherman got it right this time Mulburry, all I can say is thank heavens for snowblowers, I was out with ours twice yesterday to try and stay on top of the snow.
Bubba and I used to breed and raise registered quarter and paint horses Peachie. We had 24 brood mares and 3 studs. When the market dropped we slowly sold the whole herd off. Didn't need to be doing all that work for no profit.
What a way to get woke up Jude, I would have thought we had ghosts lol.
We do enjoy our morning coffee dill. I used to drink coffee all day long but now just have 3 or 4 cups in the morning. Bubba only has 2 then switches to herbal tea.
March 1st isn't that far away Ginger, how long will she be staying?
How often do you get together to play mahjong Rava, you must be getting better at it by now.
The worst of the storm has passed us, light snow this morning still and more to shovel from overnight. -27C (-16F) with a -40C windchill so I'll have to dress warm. I'd say we got about 16" of snow overall.Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...

ABC, that was quite a dump of snow! I bet it is beautiful. Where does all that snow melt end up? Reservoir or river?
Little sis will stay all of March and ride home with us. We've planned a road trip through Utah to show her the National Parks that she'd otherwise never get to experience. She's very excited and we are excited to show her! We'll take about a week getting home. This season has flown by and I'm ready to get home to family.
Peachie, my cat is the same way about going to bed. He wants me in there with him when he's ready. He can get a little pushy. Lol
Waves too all my coffee drinking Cafe buddies! I'll take another day of freedom!

Oh my goodness, Cowboy! 16" is too much for my liking!!
Mul, Funny how our habits change over time. In college I drank several cups of coffee after dinner. I wouldn't even consider it now!! I cut off caffeine drinks before noon. When I was your age, I enjoyed cold coffee drinks in the afternoon too. Very nice they were!! But I let it go after a while. Not saying you will, or even should. I know lots of folks that still drink caffeine later in the day. When I started drinking wine with dinner on a regular basis, I stopped that evening coffee...I wouldn't say that marked the beginning of my drinking, but it was definitely a large step forward.
Rava, I enjoyed my image of you floating around in the pool in the Florida sunshine. It felt like a mini vacation! Thanks.
Hello Ginger, Peachie and Jude!

Cowboy, be careful out there. With that amount of snow and sub zero temps it wouldn't take long to get frostbite. Brrr!
Ginger, it sounds as though you have your trip home all planned out and I'm sure that your sister will love seeing the National parks. I know that I would! Can I tag along?
Rava, the thought of floating around in a pool with sunshine and warm temps sounds divine right about now. I'm so ready for Spring!
None of the cats did a load of wash last night so there's something to be grateful for.
Waves to Peachie, dill and Mul!
24 more for all of us please...

I think I might have to invest in a pair of those battery heated gloves Jude, my fingers seem to be the only part of me that gets too cold. I just pop inside for a few minutes to warm them up and then good to go again.
The snow melt all goes into the nearby Vermilion River Ginger, but the farm land around Vegreville is pretty flat and with this much snow it will take a while for it to dry up before the farmers will be able to get on it to seed. And I'm sure we'll be getting more snow before winters over.
I agree Rava, floating around in a pool enjoying the sunshine would be great right about now.
Waves to dill, Peachie, and Mulburry...
Thankfully the snow is done for now, just these cold temps to get through for the next couple of days. The town crew sure have a mess of snow to get cleared off the streets though, and it sounds like some of the country roads are still impassible with big snowdrifts.Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. Thanks, ABC for explaining the river and its flow. I've always been fascinated by hydrology. Maybe taking a break to warm your hands is a good break from shoveling!
Jude, thanks for the chuckle about the cats and laundry.
Dill, I've never tolerated caffeine very well. I'd be shaking like a leaf, if I had more than one cup.
Hi Rava, Mul and Peachie! I'll enjoy another day of freedom with ya'll!

Hiya Cafe. I'm shivering just reading your post Cowboy. It's been 37 degrees here today. Bloody hot and yucky.,
How is your knee Ginger? I hope it's coming along ok. I'm working on sending some pics of my puddies. There must be some on my tablet. I'll have a look tomorrow.,
Everytime I see your name Jude it reminds me of thesong Hey Jude by the Beatles., sung by Paul McCartney. When I was maybe 16/17yrs old I used to take my big, bulky transistor radio with me to bed and wait to here it., lol the crazy things we used to do as teenagers., My best friend and I used to go to lots of concerts too of all the pop stars. I could never sit in my designated seat and used to drag her down to the stage!!
Dill I drink too much coffee but never at night. I eat chocolate instead!
Hiya to Rava and Mul.
Night night everybody.
