Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Good morning Cafe. Jude, I am so sorry for your loss. It’s heartbreaking to put your dog down but at least your dog went peacefully. Sending you hugs. Dill I am glad Mr. Dill is handy. You are very lucky for this! Peachie, I am so sorry about your ex reaching out. Stay strong because there is a reason why it didnt work out the first time. Glad you had a good weekend with Emma. Hey Ginger, hope that road trip is still going well. You are almost home. I am seeing all the airport lines and thinking driving may be the best thing after all. Hey to Cowboy. Hope everyone has a good Monday and sober week ahead. 24 more please and thank you.

So sorry to hear about your dog Jude, but the memories you made with him will last forever. I still think of Hank often and am glad for the time we had together.
Just put that ex of yours out of your mind Peachie and think of the enjoyable time you'll be spending with Emma.
Winter is still hanging around here dill, as a matter of fact I have a bit of snow to deal with this morning. Hopefully April will see the weather make a change for the better and I can get on the garage doors. Good thing Mr D was able to repair the microwave, I know how expensive they can be. We've had to replace both our stove and over the range microwave since moving in here.
You might think about driving up north instead of flying Rava unless things change in your airports and they get back to full staffing.
How much longer will you be on the road Ginger and are you hoteling it along the way?
A bit of snow to deal with this morning but at least it's not too cold out so I won't mind the exercise.Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...

Thanks for all of your kind words. I miss my dog terribly but his quality of life wasn't very good at the end. Now the house seems so empty, but Mr. J and I agree that our days of having a dog are over. God speed Tye...
Peachie, stay away from your ex, you don't need the drama or emotional pain in your life.
Dill, glad that Mr. D is so handy and you guys saved a lot of money by having him fix it himself.
Waves to all!
24 more please...

Mr. D and I differ on the idea of having a dog at this point in our lives. I am in the camp of thinking it was a mistake taking on Lily, but he disagrees. It doesn't much matter of course, bc she has found her place in our hearts and she is ours 100%.
My thoughts continue to be with you, Jude.
Waves to Cowboy, Ginger, Rava and Peachy. Let's all go for another 24 days of freedom.Dill

Good morning Cafe. Jude, I understand about not wanting another dog. After we put our dog down I think we cried for about 2 weeks and slowly started moving on. I think I would like another dog but Mr. R says no. If I secretly got one we would probably be divorced. So I will stay in my lane and not get another one. Running a bit late for volunteer job so just jumping on to say hi to everyone and hope its a good day!!! 24 more please and thanks.!

That's quite the rock formation Ginger, and it looks like it made a good "frame" as well haha.
Waves to the rest of the gang!

Evening Cafe. I'm supposed to be doing a clean of my house...maybe I'll start again tomorrow! Lol. No probs. It will still be here.
Having trouble booking my seat on the Coach down to Busselton. Easter, school holidays and fuel costs are causing havoc. Gosh I should have booked earlier but am determined to go. I'm a terrible procrastinator but not this time. Need to get out of my comfort zone..I was always a goer for an adventure. I miss that but it's still here inside me.
Funny story, I have had a strange cat coming into my garden lately and then brazen enough to come into my house through the door I leave open for my cats. It obviously lives in the complex somewhere and fancies one of my girls. Both neutered. Then this morning, when they were having their breakfast another strange cat came through my garden gate! Gorgeous little thing and gave me a big meow. I don't know if cats have a grapevine of talking to each other or my girls are just irrestible. I've lived here for 15yrs and I've never seen either of the cats before. Anyway I've started having to shut all my doors at night as Patches is very wary of them both. Lol. I'd love to know what is going on. I really don't mind as long as my cats are ok with it.
Sorry I'm rambling. Just good to have people to talk to.
Night night

Good morning cafe!
Ginger, I bet that you'll be glad to get back home, especially since the heat in Arizona had become so oppressive. My brother lives there and I don't know how he stands it but he loves it.
Peachie, looks like you have two more cats!
Happy April fools day everyone!
24 more for all of us please...

Oh my, Jude! I forgot it was April Fools day! Thanks for the heads up. I'm not good at practical jokes, but I'll definitely be on the lookout for being the victim of one!
Sure hope you can get your travel plans worked out, Peachie. It sounds like you could use a pleasant get-away. How long will you be away and what will you do with your cat(s)?
Rava, when do you take off for the Northern Outpost?
Ginger, hope you arrive home safe and sound. To quote Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz: "There's no place like home!"
Cowboy how are things way up north? We have been having some great weather here but a storm is headed our way for today. Yesterday I walked around the pond and listened to the sweet sound of the Toads. It only lasts a few days, and I love it! They are at least a week early this year, sot the water must be warming.
24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Good morning Cafe. Dill, I love the sound of toads too! We head north 2nd week of May so our time is limited. Planning for the long drive and am already putting stuff out that I want to take. Peachie, Your post made me think of something I saw online this morning. I wish I could have sent you a screen shot but can’t find it. Anyway, it was someone that put up a trail camera in their back yard because they were hearing strange noises. It turns out for 3 nights in a row their cat was leading 5 little raccoons and a stray opossum into the barn for about an hour. It’s on video and so cute. I do not think it was AI. We have a night vision camera and every once in a while we will see a bobcat. Ginger I am glad that today is the last day. That drive is brutal no matter how you start out. I am dreading it!!! Hi to Cowboy, Jude, Mul and hopefully I didnt miss anyone. 24 more please and thanks. PS the tea habit is still working! YAY
