Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.

Evening Cafe. Docker's won last night, by a whisker but still a win. We're second on the ladder of 18 teams so pretty good.
Got up this morning just in time to see the splashdown of the space mission. I really enjoyed watching it all and before I knew it the morning had marched on with three cups of coffee down the hatch.
Summer clothes back on today just after I had washed them all to store away.
Long day today. Some days are just like that, some are not.
Would a coyote attack Lily Dill?! I have no idea about their nature.
Found a movie to watch so it's off I go. Might just sit outside for a bit first. It's certainly warm enough.
Enjoy your day everyone.

I didn't realize you still had chickens dill, farm fresh eggs are the best. Hopefully Lily keeps the coyote away from the chickens.
Our taxes weren't as bad as I thought Jude, the accountant fees hurt more than the taxes lol. That's quite the size of cay you got there, but if he carries it well and is healthy it shouldn't be anything to worry about.
Sounds like your son should change his last name to MacDonald Ginger lol. Quite the assortment of animals but probably helps with the grocery bill. Glad your golf game went well. That's quite a place to spread some ashes, was your mom a golfer as well?
Waves to Rava and Peachie

Cross post Peachie, Bubba and I watched the re-entry and splashdown as well, was definitely something special to see and how they can predict it to the exact minute is amazing!Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. ABC, yes, Mom was a really good golfer. They lived 25 years on a course and she was a member. She golfed nearly every day. I enjoy golf but everyday? No way.
And yes, Jeremy should change his last name. You should see his garden!
Peachie, good for your team! It only takes a whisker. Makes things exciting, right?
Jude, 17lbs? Now that's a large cat! I'd love to see him.
Rava, great job on 30 days and your success with the tea!
Dill, I love all animals including coyote but I'm afraid if I had one that close, I'd be calling my grandson to come over with his gun. It sucks but I'd be so afraid Lily would get hurt not to mention Pumkin.
We had a lovely rain over night. Everything smells so fresh and the fields below us are so green. It's good to be home.
I'll take another day!

Good morning Cafe. Ginger, I am so glad you got to see your mom on the 5th hole. My late husband is in the ocean so I visit him too! Glad you had a good golf day . Wow your son is really the official farmer. Here I am growing sprouts in my pantry and that does not compare to his cows and other animals! Dill, good for you learning Mahjong just like I did. You should invest in a cheap amazon set of tiles that you like and play with them. I have them set up all the time. LOL. Peachie, I reached out to Jod and he said it was a fluke that my post did not get approved. It has since been approved and I am back in business. Hi to Jude, Cowboy and Mul. Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday.

Dill, my big cat showed up at our door a couple of years ago when he was just a kitten. He is tiger and white colored with some cool markings. He's a very sweet cat and we are glad to have him. I would be concerned for Lily if that coyote keeps hanging around. If it keeps up you may have to follow Gingers suggestion, or at least try to scare it away by shooting a gun off into the air.
Not much happening today except maybe some much needed grocery shopping.
Waves to all!
24 more please...

Yes Peachie, the coyote will attack Lily, especially if it has pups nearby and is protecting them. Otherwise, I think they would just warn each other. Lily feels like she has to protect her territory from the invader, so she runs out to it, hoping to run it off. But it has become emboldened which makes us wonder if there is a den of pups nearby. Coyotes are dangerous I'm afraid. This one appears to be about the same size as Lily, so that's good I guess. But I hope they never get into a fight.
Ginger, we've been talking about shooting it but so far haven't come to a decision. I think on Monday I'll call the local Division of Fish and Game (I think that's what it's called) and see if they have any suggestions or if there are any laws against shooting them. Of course we are both reticent to take that action, but if push comes to shove, we will try to eliminate it. I am not adept with a rifle but Mr. D is. Still, he isn't all that good a shot at a distance. We worry about injuring but not killing it, you know?
Rava, I have been watching the beginner's video and my head is swimming! The game is so complex! I bet it's great for keeping one's brain fit and active! I'm truly impressed that you took up the challenge of learning and playing Mahjong!
Yes Cowboy, we love those fresh eggs! We have only 4 hens, but they keep us well supplied with enough for the two of us and some to share.
Jude, your big fella sounds beautiful! What a hunka' cat!, LOL! We are concerned for Lily, as you say. And the chickens, too. We are definitely considering all options.
Hi Mul!
Granddaughter and I went to the dog park again yesterday. She loves that simple activity and enjoys talking with others about their pets. I mostly enjoy my time with her.
.
I made a pot of split pea and ham soup with the leftover ham bone from Easter. It was delicious. The remainder is going into the freezer.
Not today...Dill
Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Hi everyone. Sorry the coyote is giving you grief Dill. Nothing worse then being on edge re your pets. Hope there is some resolution soon for you. I love pea and ham soup. My favourite!
Not much going on here today either Jude. It got to 31 degrees here. Celsius. Nuts. I woke up this morning really hot in bed from the extra blanket. Needless to say I took it off tonight.
Ginger, you're right about a tight game! I'm afraid I get too worked up before bedtime
My drinking at night remains stable. One or two glasses is usually my limit. Rava I keep thinking I may try the tea thingy too. Thinking isn't a commitment tho! Well done you on your 30 days. What an achievement.
I've been struggling a bit the last couple of days. My grandson turned 21 yesterday and I sent him a voice message but didn't hear back. It hurts. I'm afraid my family didnt understand my relationship with the narcissist and things cooled. They just didn't understand the absolute power these people can use to shut you down. Anyway I am working on earning their trust again.
Night night everyone.

I'm not sure about the laws where you are dill, but up here you can shoot coyotes year round without any type of license. As a matter of fact many counties put a bounty out on them because there are so many of them.
Too bad about not hearing back from your grandson Peachie, maybe he'll get in touch with you later.
Golfing everyday would be a bit much for me as well Ginger. When I was an avid golfer years ago I'd get out for 9 holes 2 -3 times a week and that was enough.
Sounds like you take in your share of strays Jude, is the newer stray kitten still around?
What do you use the sprouts for Rava, cooking or salad topping?
Will be a quiet day for me, probably watch the final round of the Masters Golf Championship and do my laundry lol.

Dill, I'm a chunky soup lover too. Pureed is a bit too much like baby food for me. I talk a big talk but push come to shove, I'd really struggle getting rid of that coyote. Especially, if I thought there might be pups that would starve without her. Ugh.... it's a hard decision.
Rava, all this talk about mahjong, I might have to take a look at it! Did you say you started with the app?
ABC, another great breakfast. I especially loved the donuts! Im good for one round of golf a week. Besides, it's a spendy hobby!
Peachie, after watching a game like that, do you sleep poorly? My hubby sure does!
Jude, can you post a pic of your big kitty?
Hey Mul! What's up?
I did a little garage/hobby room clean up yesterday. I really let that go when my knee was bad. Man, it's so nice to have two working knees again! I'll take another day of freedom!
