    Good morning cafe!

Rava, I'm so proud of you for for staying alcohol free for awhile now. Your new tea habit seems to be working out for you, so keep it up. I would definitely mention to the doc about Mr. R's ankle swelling, as that is concerning.

Cowboy, in the past we've had snow on Mother's day which is unusual but it can happen. Hopefully your weather will improve soon and then you can tackle the second garage door.

I started my antibiotics yesterday and have to take them for four weeks. My doctor also wants me to see an infectious disease specialist this coming week. I realize that bone infections can be very serious but what the hell? Frustrating...

Hopefully your Dr is just sending you to the specialist as a precautionary measure Jude. A whole month of antibiotics seems like a lot but I know nothing about bone infections. We've also had some freak snow in May, but it's usually just for one day then gone the next. This snow we're getting now just keeps dragging along from day to day.

Hopefully the water pills will help his blood pressure Rava, not sure if it would help with the ankle swelling though. The Dr might have more ideas when he goes back to see him this week.

Waves to the rest of the gang!

A bit more snow this morning here and still lightly falling. I think the leaf blower will take care of it though.

Good morning Cafe. Jude, thanks for the words of encouragement but I blew it last night and drank. Today I am feeling badly about it but it’s not going to completely ruin my day. I am back on the tea and putting it behind me. The only way to keep going is to keep trying. I plan on having a good and alcohol free day. Mr. R has lost 5 pounds due to the water pill and his blood pressure is coming down a bit. I take it every day for him. Hopefully we will get some good news this week when we see the doctor. Cowboy, thanks for the yummy breakfast. I can always count on your Sunday morning spread! Jude, I hope being on the meds will help you get over any infection you have or might have. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. 24 more please and thank you.

Evening Cafe. Cowboy when I scrolled past your picture of supper I seriously went Yum. I haven't felt much like dinner tonight but I swear I could eat that right now.
Footy team won last night again. Yay.
Rava I am sitting here eating maltesers...big box..drinking my second glass of wine, having done zilch today. I don't feel bad about myself.
Jude glad you've started on the antibiotics and happy you've been referred to a specialist. Better safe then sorry.

Bloody Zorro is back. Bought a squeezy water bottle but I missed him! Lol.
              Hopefully a better aim tomorrow.
Rain all day tomorrow but not too cold. Phew.
My neighbour brought me a big bag of prawn crackers today. They are yummy but don't go well with chocolate. I'll probably never sleep tonight.
Anyway time to get into my pyjamas. It's late for me.
              Hi Ginger, missed you yesterday.
              Hi Dill and Mul.
              Night everyone.

Morning all! Hubby and I came down with a case (we think) of norovirus. The nausea and headache are debilitating. Still not back to normal but much better than yesterday. We haven't been sick in ages.

Jude, I'm glad you're finger is improving. Will your nail come back? Should you take probiotics or eat lots of yogurt to balance your gut health? Around here, drs are suggesting that with a prescription of antibiotics. I eat plain yogurt every day so i just had to keep doing that when I had my knee surgery.

Peachie, my favorite food is chocolate. Why is it so good?!

Rava, sorry about your slip but it sounds like you got right back on that horse. I sure hope Mr R can get that BP down. Worrisome!

ABC, fingers crossed spring is on its way!

Dill, sorry about the loss of your sil.

Time to rest. Stay away from the noro! I'll take another day of freedom.

Cowboy, Yum! Now that breakfast has my mouth watering! This will be a short post bc I need to get into the kitchen! Hopefully you've had your last serious wintry weather.

Rava, you have the right attitude: "The only way to keep going is to keep trying." You're doing yourself a lot of good just by keeping moving forward as you are. I know you aren't beating yourself up over it though and that is good. That would be insult to injury, IMO.

I had to google Maltesers, Peachie. Turns out to be similar to one of my favorite candies, Malted Milk Balls. (Also known as Whoppers).

Jude, I don't know much about bone iinfections but it sounds like they must be very painful. Follow your doctor's orders. Sometimes a long term antibiotic is what is called for.

                  Hi Ginger!

The Memorial service was good and our niece and nephew let us know it meant a lot to them that we made the effort. It was good to see some family. Those occasions are few and far between at this stage in our lives.

                  Not today.

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Cross post, Ginger. Sorry you and hubby are sick! Get lots of rest and fluids as you can tolerate them. Ugh!

Good morning Cafe. Ginger, I hope you and Mr. G are feeling better!! Norovirus is no fun. Thats the stuff that takes a cruise ship down…Dill glad you got to connect with family at the memorial service. Today is our last beach day with some neighbors before we all migrate north. Mr. R has lost 10 pounds of fluid and his bp is much better. He is changing his diet to low sodium which it should have been all along. So far, so good. No drinking last night or even any cravings. Went back to tea (not that I ever stopped except the 2 nights ago). Hope everyone has a good monday. 24 more please and thank you..

Have a good day at your volunteer job Jude and don't do anything to injure that finger.

Sorry to hear you and Mr G were sick Ginger, and hope you're feeling even better today.

I like those maltesers as well Peachie but usually my go to chocolate fix is chocolate covered almonds or the chocolate covered coconut bars.

Attitude is everything Rava and you've got that covered. Put it behind you and keep moving forward.

We have those Whoppers up here as well dill and now you've got me wanting to go out and get some lol. I think (fingers crossed) that spring might finally arrive. It's well below freezing this morning, but no snow and none in the forecast.

Ha ha, Cowboy! I got you thinking about Whoppers and you got me thinking about Mounds bars! (chocolate covered coconut for those who aren't familiar). However, I have been dieting lately so I will put off these thoughts for the time being! I'm not a fan of chocolate covered nuts, but Mr. D is. Almond Joys are one of his faves.

Jude, be super careful with that healing finger at your volunteer job today.

Rava, I'm glad Mr. R's BP is improving! Low sodium diet is something to get used to, but it's definitely doable! I know that I consume too much salt in my diet. Maybe I should be getting a jump on that before I run into trouble.

                              Hi ya Ginger and Peachie!
