5:15am in Alberta, 24 more for me please, and thanks...

In the past 24 hours, these friends have signed in for 24 hours of wellness:

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!

I'm sure Jude and I are going to cross post lol, she must have had a good sleep.

Waves to the rest of the gang!

It was a bit cold yesterday, but I managed to get Bubba's new door in! Even had enough time to clean the garage a bit haha. Off to Mannville this morning for Dr's appointment, just my regular visit for med prescription refills. Then I might run up to the farm and see how the spring melt is going in the fields.

      Not today...

Greetings All! I'm the first one here today! We had a dramatic thunderstorm last night and got over an inch of rain which was badly needed. We have been in a drought in our area. There was no severe wind, so that's good. I haven't had the news on yet so I don't know if there were power outages in the area due to the lightning, but I do know that our power was out for a short time last night.

Not much happening today. That's the way we like it!

        Not today...

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Good morning Cafe. Cowboy, I am glad you got that garage door in for Bubba. Good luck today with your doc appt. Dill, we need a good thunderstorm or some heavy rain for sure. I have to be careful what I ask for because we could end up with another bad hurricane. Our pond behind our house is almost dried up. Heading to work then grocery story for more low sodium stuff. He is down 10 pounds already from water weight. Blood pressure returning to normal. Jeez , getting old sucks. Hope everyone has a great and sober day. Off to my volunteer job! 24 more please!

Hi everyone. Got so rapt up in a criminal series last night I forgot to post. It's strange without Jude posting first.

Glad to hear about the second door going up Cowboy.

Dill glad you got the much needed rain.

Had my assessment for Aged Care assistance this morning. I think if you can still walk and talk you are deemed ok! Anyhow I will definitely get some help with the harder housework and a trip out once a week. It's a start so I am grateful for that.

Weather is still wintery so puddy cats have slept the day away on the couch. Just awake to eat, then back to sleep again. Zorro was around but I didn't need to wet him as he was out in the rain anyway. I did talk to him kindly today tho. Just can't help myself. Still no idea where he lives but he is kinda sweet.

Anyway hi to everyone and it's nearly time for bed.
            Night night

Our stomach bug is all gone. It was a short one, thank God! Yuck

ABC, glad you got the door project completed. What's next? Good luck at the checkup.

Jude, I'm with everyone one else here, be careful at work around the kitties. I know you know...

Rava, I'm so glad the meds are getting that water off Mr R. Here's to continued improvement!

Dill, is the pond full now or was it already?

Peachie, it would be hard for me to yell at Zorro too. I get it. We have a big gray squirrel that comes up and eats the bird seed. I could do things to stop him but instead I've named him "Chuck". He's precious and Cyrus our cat, loves to chatter at him from his purch in the catio.

                  I'll take another day!

I slept late today and had an early doctor's appointment. Rava, glad that Mr. is doing better. Wow, ten pounds off in water weight is a lot, and I bet that he feels much better.

Cowboy, glad that you were able to get Bubba's garage door in. That's a big job behind you.

Ginger, love the name Chuck for your squirrel friend.

Well, I'm off to start dinner going. ( it feels so weird to say that)

                    Wave to all!

Good morning cafe! Peachie, glad that you are able to get some help with household chores. I'm sure that it will help! Ginger, glad that you are feeling better.

My finger is less painful today and tomorrow I go in to have my stitches removed. The worst part is taking horse pill size antibiotics which make me nauseous and I have to take them for one month. Uggh...

24 more for all of us please...

Good morning Cafe. Jude, Just wondering if you can cut that horse pill in half and take it in two pieces. Sounds awful. Glad your finger is doing better and you get your stitches out tomorrow. Peachie, glad you are getting some help. Hope your weather clears up soon. Ginger, so glad the stomach bug is over for you and Mr. G. Heading to the gym this morning. Nothing new to say. All is well for today. 24 more please and thank you.

Ginger, our pond is full but has room to top up, so the rain was welcome for sure! Glad you and Mr. G are feeling yourselves again.

Cowboy, it's funny that we cross posted and I really thought I checked back before I posted and did not see your post. It's a mystery to me! Glad you finally got your garage door project done. You've been waiting a long time to get that accomplished.

Peachie, was that assessment something that everyone does? Was it done at your home or at the doc's office? We have a Medicare assessment done here that I believe must be required, but it is done when you go for your regular check up. They don't do any kind of in home assessment, but that seems to me to be a good practice. I can't honestly say that I would welcome it though. My private insurance keeps trying to schedule a home assessment but I consistently put them off each year. I'm an independent cuss!

Jude, glad your finger feels better, but I'm sorry. you aren't doing so well with the antibiotic! Is it possible you could try a different one?

Rava, 10 pound is a whole lotta water weight! No doubt he feel better. I sure hope he gets his meds balanced out.

More rain here today. I must've slept through the worst of the wind from that storm. When we drove to town we saw numerous large limbs and trees down.

Another 24 for all of us here, please and thank you.

Glad the pain is going away Jude and I'll bet you'll be glad once you're done with the pills.

That's a good idea about the pills Rava! Have a good gym workout.

Not sure what will be next Ginger, I don't want to start anything major in case Cory calls to get seeding underway.

I'll bet the extra help will be welcomed Peachie and having someone to chat with will be a bonus I'm sure.

That sounds like quite the spring storm dill, and happy to see you got some badly needed moisture. But this time, don't send any our way, at least for a month or two lol.

Lots of driving ahead of me today! Head west into the city to pick up some chemical to shock chlorinate a neighbor's well, the turn around and drive back east all the way to Vermilion to get some bloodwork done. I'm also taking Amanda's summer tires with me as she stored them here over the winter and she's getting her winter tires taken off this afternoon. We'll get a chance to go for coffee and have a short visit at least.

Evening Cafe. Good day today. Jude, I was once on very heavy duty antibiotics and, like you, felt terribly nauseous at the time. I went back and told the doc. He lowered the dose and I was fine. Mind you, we are put on the heavy duty stuff for a reason so maybe some anti nauseous medication may be the ticket. Hope you sort it out. I feel for you.

Dill, I was referred to My Aged Care by a social worker and by the hospital. It is not a compulsory thing and they come to your home. The Government subsidises the cost. Because I live alone I get very frustrated when I can't do things by myself. Like scrubbing the floors on my hands and knees!! Lol.

                                Hi to Ginger and Cowboy.
                                Night night.
