Peachie, scrubbing the floor on hands and knees? That ship sailed for me a few years back. Well, at least my desire to do it did. ;-) I'm glad you got a little help though!

ABC, enjoy your visit with Amanda. Safe travels back and forth today. When does Cory usually call?

Jude, I'm glad your finger is feeling better! I wish you didn't have to deal with the nausea though. That sucks!

Dill, I bet it feels good to see that pond almost full.

Rava, remind me. When do you head north?

Exercise then golf practice with hubby. Gorgeous spring weather here in central WA. I'll take another day of freedom!

      Good morning cafe!

Rava, thanks for the tip on cutting the horse pills in half as it sure will make taking them much easier! I don't want to switch antibiotics as the culture that they did showed that it's the best one to use against the type of bacteria that's causing the infection.

Dill, I also have a Medicare assessment done at my doctors office every year. I hate when they tell you three words and then later in the appointment ask you to remember those words. I usually forget one of those words, but the doc isn't too concerned about it.

Cowboy, I still have my winter tires on but I'm hesitant to take them off until I'm certain that the snow is done.

Peachie, I cringe at just the thought of scrubbing the floors on my hands and knees. It's been more than a few years since I was able to do that!

      Not today...

Morning Cafe. Cool and cloudy day today. Summer has definitely gone. Time to get my winter clothes out. Hope it means your spring is coming.

I also can't remember the last time I scrubbed the floor on my hands and knees either guys, probably just showing off!! Lol.

Ginger hope you enjoyed golf practice in your spring weather. Love the story of Chuck the squirrel. Going to try posting pics of Patches and Rosie at the end of my post. Fingers crossed.

You certainly had a busy day yesterday Cowboy. Hope you enjoyed your catch up with Amanda. There are no changes of tyres here in Australia but I can definitely see why it's seasonal over there.

Rava, glad to hear hubby is doing better. Bit of a relief hey? Are his ankles still swelling up at night. Hope that is improving too. I meet all of my friends in the doctor's office. They should put morning tea on for all of us!
        .
Dill, hope your weather has settled down.

Ok, here goes with the pics
        Wish me luck. Xxx

Good morning Cafe. Peachie, your kitties are so cute. They look very cozy and happy. Ginger, we head north on Mother’s Day. We are going to spend the night probably in North Carolina and be back to tiny house on Monday the 11th. I have to get in the mindset. UGH. Jude, I have a pill splitter that I got in the pharmacy dept of Walmart for like 6.00 because I split my calcium and multivitamin each day. I can’t take a whole pill and when I do it gets stuck and that hurts!!! I am also laughing at the 3 words test. Those yearly tests make me nervous. When he asked me what year it was I promptly stated 19…… oops 2026. I am so busy concentrating on the 3 words that i didn't even know the year!!! Mr. R is doing so much better. Swelling is gone and BP is good. We go back Friday for one last check up before we head north. I have started him on a low sodium diet, which we should have been following all along! So far so good. Hope everyone has a great day. Last night about 4 pm I started with “wouldn't it be good to buy a bottle of wine”. I almost got in my car to carry out that thought. I ended up drinking the tea and making a grocery list. Today I am thankful that I didn't go out. 24 more please and thank you. Hi to Cowboy and Dill as well!!

I think I can safely say that spring has finally arrive for us up here Peachie, temps are starting to rise and all that snow is almost gone. Love the pics of your cats, so cute! Floor scrubbing around this house is done with a mop and Bubba and I take turns at the duty lol.

Bubba is like you Jude, she doesn't change her tires until mid-May, usually after the May long weekend. Any news on the finger?

Does Mr R go with you to the gym Rava or does he have his own style of exercise. He's probably feeling better now after losing that weight. How is the ankle swelling?

Seems like a few of us are usually cross posting dill, but the other day you and I were only a minute apart haha. Good to hear the pond is full, hopefully you'll get enough rain through the summer to keep it that way. Have fun at your volunteer job today.

How is your golf swing coming Ginger, ready to knock a few strokes off your handicap haha? Corey usually calls a few days ahead of time and usually I'm pretty much ready to go, but this year with the late spring I haven't even opened up the camper yet. Funny thing is that I actually ran into him in Vermilion yesterday lol.

Had quite the day yesterday but managed to get everything done and had a good visit with Amanda while we waited for her car to be done. As I mentioned I ran into Corey yesterday and got things sorted out, sounds like May 9th or 10th for a start, possibly the 8th if the ground dries up quicker. And it just so happened that the tractor was in town getting set up for the new air drill! Looks like I'll be learning a bunch of new technology as Corey went from a John Deere air drill and cart to a Bourgault. We went over to the dealership and had a look at everything but it won't get out to the farm till Friday.

Wow! Things are happening, ABC. Does it feel good to have a semi-plan in place for planting? Does the new technology scare you a little? Glad your busy day went well. Im curious, we never change out our tires because we have 4WD. Do you guys have both snow tires and 4WD?

Jude, did the Dr give your infection a name finally or is it nameless? In any case, I'm so glad it's improving.

Rava, good for you to push those thoughts away! Keep it up. Won't be long now! Migration is right around the corner.

Dill, I'd love to see a picture of your pond. I love getting a better feel for where my Cafe peeps live!

Peachie, your babies are so precious. Cats are amazing creatures. Do yours talk to you? Cyrus will meow back and forth to me when I talk to him. He's so darn cute!

Kind of a quiet day here and I'm so looking forward to it. It's a rare day when I have my home to myself with no TV yacking in the background.

I'll take another day of freedom with all of you!

I will take a picture of the pond and post it soon, Ginger, but with the new computer I must admit it may take me some time. I haven't really explored the picture storing aspect yet. It will probably be easy to learn but I just haven't tried it yet. I really had it down pretty well on my old computer. I sure take longer to work thru things than I used to.

Peachie, Your cats are adorable! Thanks for the pics.

Jude, I haven't been put to the word memory test yet. I think I will struggle with that one! Every year she has me do a short test of gettiing up from a chair and walking about 10 feet, turning around coming back to sit down. So far so good with that!

Cowboy, you are definitely going to be busy. You don't sound like a man in semi-retirement to me!

Rava, well done resisting the urge.

Volunteering was good today. Always a nice way to break up the week.

24 more, please and thank you.

                      Good morning cafe!

Peachie, Rosie and Patches are adorable!. Any more signs of Zorro?

Rava, I'm so glad that you stayed home and worked on your grocery list instead of running out to get a bottle of wine. That's how it's done...

Cowboy, sounds like you'll be heading out to the fields very soon. Are you looking forward to it this year?

Yesterday I went to the doctor for a recheck and to have the stitches taken out. I think that the antibiotics are beginning to work as the finger is less painful and the swelling is down a little.

Ginger, hubbies truck is 4WD and my car is AWD but with the steep hills and the amount of snow that we get, snow tires are an absolute necessity.

Dill, I've never had to do anything physical at the doctors, only cognitive type tests to scan for signs of dementia. So far, so good!

                      Waves to Mul!

24 more for all of us please...

Good morning Cafe. Cowboy, I bet you are glad to get some dates to begin your planting. I am sure you will master the new equipment. Mr. R’s ankle swelling is gone. I am going with him today for his final check up. BP also normal. Hope he stays on the good path. I am making him low sodium foods which he should have been eating all along. Hi to the Cafe peeps and hoping this is a good Friday for everyone!!! 24 more please and thank you!

Evening Cafe. Thank you all so much for loving on my kitties. They are my world. Yes Ginger they do talk to me. I have full on conversations in the kitchen with Patches. I bend down and she tells me how she didn't much like her dinner! Rosie is a squeaker. She has never properly meowed but squeaks at me. It is very funny. Where would we be without our pets?

Jude, really hope your finger keeps improving.

Watching my footy team get a bit of a bashing at the moment. Only half time as yet but have started to pace around a bit. Been doing that for years.

I remember once going with my friend and neighbour Pat for her dementia test. I was in the consulting room with her listening to the questions and she passed with flying colours. Me, on the other hand, observing,
was thinking sh.t glad it's her not me!!

Anyway half time nearly over, hi to everyone and have a lovely day.

Good morning cafe, and UGH. I fell off the wagon yesterday on my birthday. Bad present I gave myself and I truly regret it. I bought on my way home, deluding myself once again into thinking I could controld how much I drank. I even posted knowing I had that wine in the house, sure I could limit myself. I still can't. Starting over today with ne resolve. UGH

Not much planned for today. I'll keep it that way. I'll stay away from the grocery store unless I have guard rails in place.

                            Not today.

A belated Happy Birthday to you dill, sorry to hear about your slip up though. Put it behind you and move forward, you can do it.

My ice hockey team got beat out last night Peachie so there'll be no Stanley Cup for them again this year. Hopefully your footy team does better.

That's wonderful news about your finger Jude, now just to let the antibiotics do their job. I am looking forward to getting out in the field again, always nice to learn and run new equipment. I think this year the only worry will be getting the rig stuck in some of the lower lying fields lol.

That's great news about Mr R Rava, cutting out the sodium isn't such a bad idea, but it does take a while to get used to a new diet.

I'm not too worried about learning the new electronics Ginger, but it'll definitely be something I'll have to pay attention to until I'm comfortable with the new setup. I run mud and snow tires on my truck year round even though it has 4 wheel drive. I don't often have to use the 4 wheel drive because of the tires. Bubba's Flex is an AWD but she still likes running studded winter tires as she feels safer with them in the winter. Amanda's Honda Fit definitely needs winter tires if she wants to get around in the winter.

I think I'm actually going to be able to get a bit of yard work done today, the grass needs raking and then run the lawn mower over it to get it back in shape. Lots of things to do now that the weather is nice!
