Jude, hope you all had a good and successful sale yesterday! I bet it's hard to see mama kitty in a cage. I'm sure it's tugging at your heartstrings.

Ginger, I've never had pneumonia either so have no advice to give. Keeping you in my thoughts and sending positive vibes your way.

Peachie, alcohol is really a sneaky and cunning foe. It acts as a depressant so maybe you just need another day to get past that feeling. Ugh!

Cowboy, thanks so much for the Sunday spread. It was excellent! Now get back to work!!

    Hiya Rava!

Volunteer luncheon today. Should be nice!

    Not today...
    Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!

How did the bake sale go Jude? I imagine your bread didn't last long! Something tells me the momma kitten is going to find it's way home with you.

Enjoy the luncheon today dill, it's nice to get together with everyone I bet.

I've never had pneumonia either Ginger so I have no clue how long it lasts. Best check in with your doc if the symptoms persist. Glad you had a good time with your sisters all things considered.

Are you feeling any better today Peachie? Hopefully you'll get back to normal and look towards more joyful things.

        Waves to Rava and Mulburry...

We did get back to seeding yesterday so I'm back being a camper bachelor until we get rained out again lol.

        Not today...

Hi Cafe. Hope your bake sale went well Jude. Dill, you are right about booze being a depressant. It really knocked me around, but feeling heaps better today.

Back to work Cowboy. How long do you think this planting season will last this year? Hope you still enjoy it?

Ginger and Rava thinking of you both. Hope there has been some improvement Ginger. Have you had bloods taken for viruses? They can certainly lead to pneumonia.

          Night everyone.

Good morning Cafe. I am a little late to the table but doing well. I let myself down the other day by buying a box of wine. Really thinking I was ok to do this. I even cleared a space under my kitchen sink to place it. I had about 3 glasses of wine and went to bed. Woke up the next day with all the feelings that we all know too well and decided I just can’t go back. I dumped the rest of the box down the sink and took it to the dumpster. I immediately felt better and more in charge of myself. Damn how many times do I have to convince myself that alcohol is NOT for me. Anyway, that was several days ago and that was a bit ridiculous. Ginger, I hope you are feeling better!!! No fun to head to ER in the early morning hours. Peachie, I hope you are feeling better! Our mental health really does mess us up. Anyway, the sun is out and there is NO alcohol in my house for the last 2 days and I am back on track. Hi to all my cafe peeps!

              Morning....
Rava and Peachie, thinking of you both.

Yesterday afternoon I was feeling pretty good and was hoping I turned the corner. Fingers crossed! I was also hoping to get back to exercise but that may have to wait. Hopefully Wednesday.

Jude, I hope you can take MK home so she gets a reprieve from the cage. Does she still need medical care?

              Dill, enjoy your luncheon!

ABC, by now you must be an old pro on that new machinery!

I'll join you all in another day of freedom!

                Good morning cafe!

Well, I brought Mama kitty home yesterday, and Mr. J didn't act surprised when I walked in the door with a cat carrier in my hand. I have her in a large cage so that she can chill out until she gets acclimated to a new environment. Mr. J was petting her and she rolled over to have her belly rubbed. Turns out that she loves it. I overheard him say " this cats not going anywhere." He's worse than me!

Ginger, glad that you are feeling better, but don't exert yourself too much. I've had pneumonia twice, one time I felt like hell, but the second time I didn't even know that I had it, and it was found when I had a routine chest X-Ray.

The rescue made $4,000 from the bake and plant sale, and the money goes right back to caring for all the cats in the shelter.

Rava, good job dumping the wine down the sink. It's our sneaky alcoholic brains that tries to justify our drinking. We tell ourselves that it's ok to have a drink just this once, but we all know where that kind of thinking goes.

Waves to Peachie, dill, Cowboy and Mul!

                Not today...

Good morning Cafe. Jude so glad you got the kitty. Sounds like Mr. J is smitten already! LOL. Hope everyone has a great and sober day. I am headed to the gym and then the beach with my daughter and granddaughter. All is well today with the boozy brain. 24 more please and thank you.

Jude, why am I not surprised the kitten made it's way home with you lol. Sounds like Mr J is smitten by the kitten as well haha.

Glad your mood has improved Peachie, it's no fun going day to day in depression. Seeding usually runs for about 4 weeks depending on how many times we get rained out. So far I'm still enjoying it, when I don't enjoy it anymore I'll hang up my farmer hat lol.

Hopefully you'll be back to your normal self soon Ginger. I'm pretty much comfortable with the new equipment now and starting to look at everything the new electronics offer.

Good job on getting rid of the rest of the wine Rava, you didn't really need it anyway. Enjoy the time with your family today.

We finished up seeding the oats yesterday and switched back to wheat, Barley, peas, and oats are all done, just lots of wheat and canola to go now.

That's a tidy sum from the fundraiser, Jude. I say it's quite a success!

Waves everyone! I have to get going early for a regular doctor visit...this is the Medicare one. Maybe I'll have to do the word test....

Hope we all have a sober and peaceful day!

Jude, yaaayyyyyy! I'm so glad you brought MK home. Does she have a name yet? I think I remember at least one of your bought with pneumonia. There was no exercise for me! What was i thinking?

Rava, have fun at the beach today. Sounds so fun!

                          Peachie, hope your feeling better.

Dill, good luck remembering the words. You'll do great! Funny story, last time Mr G had that test, they forgot to ask him to recite them at the end of it. Lol

ABC, your crew really makes short work of all the planting!

Well, I was so hopeful I was turning the corner but it seems I'm not. Dang it! I'll take another day of freedom.

Hi everyone. Had a lovely afternoon with my niece in the city. We talked and talked about old times especially when all our families were together. It really did me the world of good. So glad I made the effort to get out of my comfort zone. She flies back to the outback tomorrow so won't get to see her again for quite some time. We have always been close and she's very dear to me..We certainly realized how much we have in common again.

Jude, you have your kitty home! Well done you.

Rava, sounds like you have picked yourself up and dusted yourself off. Me too. Not fun being in the doldrums that's for sure. God it's hard sometimes tho. My gorgeous niece has her fair share of fighting the battle too. We talked a little about that and we both realized the vulnerability we both shared and where it came from. A wrongly formed coping mechanism most of the time.

Ginger hope you're on the mend still. You're damn right, ageing is not for sissies.

Night night everyone. Have a great day.
