Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

I'm sure she'll come around Jude once she gets used to the new surroundings, and she has to eat lol. Are there other cats in the house that she might be afraid of?
Enjoy the nice weather Mulburry, you can send it our way please. I think Colorado will be going all the way this year, I hope so anyway as that's who I picked to win in our family hockey pool lol.
Sounds like you had a great time with your niece Peachie, I'll bet your mood has improved 100%
Best not push things till you get rid of the pneumonia Ginger, you don't want to run yourself down and have it linger on.
I don't think I've ever had a word test from my Dr dill, some sort of mental test I'm thinking.
How is the mahjong teaching going Rava? Do you guys get together regularly?
I'm sitting having my morning coffee while I listen to the rain come down. Looks like a couple more rain days for me. I'll wait till it's light outside and then pack things to head back to Vegreville.

Love that story! Gave me a good chuckle! You sound like me, Ginger. When I'm sick I have a hard time accepting it and resting as I should! But do take care of yourself! It won't do to burden your immune system while it's trying so hard to help you get well! Sleep/rest, hydrate, nourish!Originally posted by Ginger999 View PostDill, good luck remembering the words. You'll do great! Funny story, last time Mr G had that test, they forgot to ask him to recite them at the end of it. Lol
Jude, I think this kitty will get used to you and your family a bit quicker than the feral kitty you brought in. She seems to enjoy affection which will help the process I hope!
Peachie, the visit with your niece sounds like a balm to your soul! Hers as well. I'm so glad you had that time together.
Rava, does Mr. R go to the gym with you? I think I asked that before, but if so, I must've missed or possibly forgotten your reply.
Cowboy, your post from yesterday reminded me of the little ditty:
Oats and beans and barley grow
Oats and beans and barley grow
Do you, or I, or anyone know
Why oats and beans and barley grow?!
I know one thing...you help the oats to grow!
Hiya Mul! Always good to see you!
It's a stormy Spring day here with lots of rain and thick clouds. We haven't been out to the rain gauge so I don't know how much.
I wasn't confronted with the word memory test yesterday. They simply did the mobiltiy test again and I passed with flying colors on that one, thank the Lord!
Today's test is achieve another day of freedom....Last edited by dill; Today, 06:37 AM.Dill
Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Evening Cafe. Great to read all your posts today. Jude, I guess you know but puddies always take a while to settle in. She'll be ok. Bloody Zorro was hanging at the front door this morning. Poor Patches was eating her breakfast and saw him. Gosh she can growl!!
Thunderstorms tomorrow. Well that's according to our Bureau of Meteorology. Been hit and miss a bit lately. I think climate change is making it harder to actually predict accurate forecasts.
Ginger, hope you're feeling better. It just takes a bit longer for us to recover. It's frustrating but your determination will see you through. Another big hug.
Waves to all.
Night night.

Ugh... still coughing my lungs out. This is dumb. Doc said continue the doxycycline and he order another chest xray and some bloodwork to rule out valley fever. We don't have it in WA but AZ docs always say to mention you've been in the southwest, if you develop a nagging cough. If is fungal pneumonia, meds are changed to antifungals. Praying that's not what it is because I've heard of people having to take those meds for months. My poor liver has been through enough!
Peachie, what a wonderful day you had with your niece. It sounds like you both enjoyed the visit reminiscing. Dang it, Zorro! Leave those girls alone.
Dill, let us know what your rain gauge says when you can venture out.
Rava, you've really hit the ground running! Will you go back to your FL home during the summer to check on things?
ABC, enjoy your trip home for a few days. I bet you look forward to Bubba's home cooking!
Jude, did you name Mama?
Hi ya, Mul! We've been enjoying pleasant spring weather too. Its perfect temps in my opinion.
I'll take another day!
