Good news on Lily! We ended up taking her to an emergency vet service. The ED was very professional and did a wonderful job. They did necessary tests to find out if there was a serious infection or a blockage somewhere. The tests fortunately ruled out those things but she was severely dehydrated and they recommended an overnight stay and IV fluids. At the end of the day yesterday the vet called and gave an update. She was responding well and they even got her to try a few bites of food. We should be able to pick her up later today, thank God! Best we can figure is that she got into something that made her sick. The blood work did not show any sign of elevated white blood cells, so no virus or bacterial infection. Anyway, she is going to be fine, and that's what matters. We discussed the possibility of stress being a factor and the vet said that could very definitly be a factor. Lily has been stressed out a lot lately. (Coyote incident, followed by recent protective mother deer incidents). ....Now for the bill!

Jude, that is such excellent news about your finger! It sound like you just may be on the road to recovery!!

Ginger, that drive to the specialist sounds like a really enjoyable outing. Will you have Mr. G along or maybe one of your sisters?

That's great news about your finger Jude! Hopefully it won't be long till you are able to use it again without any pain.

I'll bet you're happy and relieved about Lily dill, but the vet bill might stress you out lol. Our furry friends are worth it though.

Dill, such a relief about Lily. Hopefully, that bill won't be too bad. Little sis wanted to ride along to the appt as soon as she caught wind of it. Lol We will stop at Trader Joe's and then have lunch. It's always a fun time with her. Lots of laughs!

Peachie, do you like to puzzle? My little sis got me hooked a few years back. I have one going all the time now. All the pieces and colors make me happy, especially in dreary weather.
