Thanks for breakfast Cowboy. It’s another winner. Jude, Is Boo the cat that you brought home and fostered? I am still confused about this one. Dill, I also fell hard yesterday with a bottle of wine. The only good thing about this was it gave me raging diarrhea about 2 hours after drinking it. Maybe I need to realize that my body cant handle this shit anymore. I am throwing the rest out today in the dumpster. Some days are just hard. No trigger, nothing just a strong desire to drink which I know is wrong. This internal struggle is present every day. I do know that I will NOT drink today. I am now gonna go sit in the corner and eat Cowboys breakfast and be thankful that I have this community that listens and understands. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads in the group. 24 more please.

That sounds pretty much like the Canadian football season Peachie, but I don't watch a lot of football. I'll watch a game if I'm stuck inside with nothing else to do.
Thanks for the Fathers Day wishes Jude, it'll be a quiet one as the kids were all home last weekend.
Sorry to hear you slipped dill but you're back and that's what matters most. Is your son and grandkids coming over today for Fathers Day?
What about your tiny home Rava, will it be filled with family?
I'm sure you'll have some of the kids over today Ginger, if I remember correctly they all live close by.
Not much on my agenda today with the weather being what it is. Rained most of the day yesterday and supposed to be the same today. I don't think we'll get as much as they forecast though, we only got about 1 1/2" yesterday.

Evening everyone. Thanks for supper Cowboy and Happy Fathers Day.
Sending love to those who slipped. I have no idea what to say and feel a bit of a fraud because I still drink every night, not much, but still have the habit. I honestly don't know if I could break that habit.
Night everyone.

Peachie, you are not a fraud as you are here with us and have been nothing but honest! You are blessed to be able to moderate, IMO. I keep trying it, but like Jude, once I take that first drink, I have no control.
Cowboy, I can't believe all the rain you have been having! UGH! Thanks for another delicious breakfast, and HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! Glad you got to celebrate with your kids last weekend! Yes, our son and gkids will be over and we are having burgers on the grill!
Rava, sorry you took a nose dive yesterday. It means you're feeling today how I felt yesterday. Not good. I actually don't suffer so much with a physical hangover the day after. I suffer mostly with the feelings of hopelessness and depression. Today though, I am back on an even keepl and I'm grateful for that!
Jude, Thanks for your words of encouragement. They help alot.
Thank you to everyone for your understanding.
Waves to you, Ginger!

Good morning cafe!
Rava, I'm sorry that you slipped but you are honest about it and came right back here. Cravings are just the alcohol voice in your head and one of these days you'll realize that you don't have to act on those thoughts. Are you still drinking your special tea? It seemed to help you in the past. Yes, Boo is the cat that I was fostering, formerly known as Black eyed susan.
Volunteer job this morning, then off to the doctor to recheck that pesky middle finger. Fun times!
Waves to all!

I sure do pray you will get good news at the recheck, Jude.
We had a nice visit yesterday although our son unfortunately was on call and he did have to leave in the middle of things. That was a disappointment. He said it was rare to get a call on a Sunday, and I could see he was disappointed to have to leave. We visited with the grands and waited for him to return but he ran iinto some complications and it took longer than he thought, we took the grands home and sent some food home with them for him. Better luck next time!
Nothing much on for today. Let's all have a good and peaceful day of freedom from alcohol!

Evening all. Hope your appt goes well today Jude.
Dill, sorry about your son being called out yesterday but glad you got to see your Grands. I'd also like to thank you for your kind words yesterday. They meant a lot. I really appreciate being here and how I've been accepted.
Well, the sun came out this afternoon after a lot of dreary days. It was lovely and we are due for 3 more days of sunny weather before rain again.
Zorro hasn't been seen for 2 days! Yay! The girls are so funny watching out the window for him. They are slowly getting more confident of going out in the garden.
We have some lovely people in our complex at the moment. Everyone keeps an eye open for each other. Pat called in today and she has the same sense of humor as me. We always have a giggle at something. I can't believe she is 81yrs old. Her husband ran off with a younger woman years ago but she's quite happy living with her little dog Lucy and cat Freebie. My Abby and Lucy were the best of friends for years.
Hiya to everyone and hope everybody has a great day. Good tv shows tonight.
Night

We love having you here Peachie, so don't worry about your drinking habits. And it's nice to see that you have a real life friend close to you.
Don't be too hard on yourself Rava, pick yourself up and set your determination a notch or two higher.
Good luck with your checkup today Jude, hopefully it's nothing but good news.
That's too bad about your son getting called away dill, but at least you had a bit of a visit with him.
Waves to Ginger, hope you had a good day yesterday.
Rain is supposed to clear out sometime this afternoon then we have a few days of nice sunny weather finally!

This was my Sunday post. Not sure why it didn't post yesterday??
ABC, you guys sure have been getting your share of rain! Thanks for breakfast! Enjoy your quiet day. My family has been gathering almost every weekend since we got home so I doubt we see anyone today. Hubby's little sister has been sick and in hospital for a few days so he's headed there at 8a. Quiet day around here, I hope.
Dill, I've asked my hubby why he wears those ear plugs and he just says, he's gotten used to them. My machine is so quiet too. Maybe he just wants to be prepared on the days I rip the evil thing off my face and take to snoring. I'm hoping the ENT will have some advice and insight into this mess. Sorry you slipped but you're right back here and that's what matters!
Rava, sorry you had such a reaction to that wine. It almost sounded like aversion therapy! Glad you're back with a new resolve.
Hi Jude and Peachie. Hope you both have a great day!
I'll take another day of freedom!

Peachie, you are absolutely NOT a fraud. In fact, if you left the cafe, I'd come looking for you! I love that you have a built in friend in your complex.
Jude, good luck at the doc today! Fingers crossed X.
Dill, bummer about your son being called away. At least you had the grands but still.
Hey, Rava and ABC!
Let's all enjoy a great AF day.
