I'm sad about the forum shutting down too, Jude. We all knew it was inevitable, but it still came a shock. For me, the fact that is it shutting down and I haven't truly reached my goal has been very, well,...sobering.

Ginger, I didn't see your post until this morning. I bet the evening was a bit unsettling to you. But good for you, too. You are so much better off!
    .
We had a good time with our friends at the Italian restaurant, but I can't say the food was all that special. Pasta is not my thing at the moment. Been trying to cut calories and have been avoiding carbs. Italian food is all about the carbs! LOL

Waves to Rava, Cowboy and Peachie.

    Not today.

Cross post, Cowboy! I love Subway! Penn Station is really good, too. Do you have Penn Station up there? My favorite at Penn is the Artichoke/Mushroom. Yummy!!

Evening Cafe. Hi to everyone. Cowboy, yes there is footy this weekend. We do footy in the winter and cricket in the summer. Because Michael was a professional cricketer I love my cricket! But because the Dockers are doing so well this year I'm in heaven!! Dockers play tomorrow afternoon in a home game. No tickets left. Haha. Our newish stadium seats 55,000 and it has been full every game this season. Yay.

Dill, I'm the same as you. I have never really been a pasta person. Nor rice. Think the British mashed potato has stuck after all this time.

I hope we can all carry on as per normal on the new site and also meet more people too. Thanks for setting it up Cowboy. I'm feeling very sad for all of you who have been here for a long time.

Jude not long now before your renos start. Sounds like you're going to have some non rainy weather for it!

Hi to Rava and Ginger and I hope Mul finds us on the new site.

        Night everyone

Good morning Cafe. Ginger, I am so proud of you for going to bed and avoiding all the nonsense! Dill, I am not a pasta person either. I am more of a salad person. Happy to report that I absolutely LOVE the new sections/sleeper sofa. The cushion are firm and plush. It fit perfectly into the tiny house and they had no problem bringing it in. We are not headed to grandsons birthday party for the night and will be home tomrrow. Can’t wait to lay on it again. LOL. It’s the little things. Hope everyone has a great and sober day. I plan on drinking water all day. There will be booze flowing everywhere. Yes even for a child’s birthday party. All the wine moms. UGH…… 24 more please and thanks.

Another night of great food at SIL's and bottles and bottles of wine. Hubby and I persevered! Thank God for him. I watch the people stumble around and it worries the hell out of me! Luckily, we made it back to my other SIL's unscathed. These are all hubby's family. They are fabulous people and I love them all dearly. It's just all the booze makes things difficult. Fortunately, we have all day with them before it starts. Headed home this afternoon.

Rava, enjoy the party but be strong! You've got this. That's awesome the sectional worked out so wonderfully. I love it when a plan comes together.

            Peachie, enjoy the game!

Dill, I'm with you. I'm not a big Italian food person either. All that tomato sauce doesn’t sit well with me. I bet you enjoyed the visit though.

Jude, things are going to start happening around your place soon! I'm hoping to see a pic or two.

            Hi ABC Hi Mul

            I'll take another day

              Good morning cafe!

Am I the only one here that loves Italian food? It's one thing that I crave and I know that it's loaded with carbs so I just limit my portions when I do have it. I've really cut back on junk food and am eating half of what I used to at meals So far I have lost 10 pounds. It's a slow process but it seems to be working.

Peachie, the construction on the addition starts tomorrow morning. I feel bad for the crew as it's supposed to really heat up next week with temps in the 90's. Looks like I'll have to have a cooler of cold drinks on hand for the crew.

Rava, glad that you love your new sofa! It's nice when things work out.

Ginger, whenever I'm around people that are drunk I feel glad that it's not me. It evokes memories of what my life used to be and I never want to go back there.

Waves to Dill, Cowboy and Mul!

24 more for all of us please...

                Evening Cafe.

Ginger hope you got home safely yesterday.

Dill, the Dockers won again this arvo. Totally destroyed the other team. Yay. 14 wins in a row! Airlines are advertising return fares to the other side of the country for the Grand Final already. Also many charter flights being planned. Too expensive for me tho. Never mind, I'll drag some friends down to Fremantle on the train to watch the many screens that will be around.

Rava, so glad you are enjoying your new couch and hope the birthday party went ok.

Cowboy I still can't figure out how to post on the new site in the right place. Do I go to the 24hr thread and go to the end of it?

                Jude good luck for tomorrow.

Good morning Cafe. The birthday party went well. Not as much drinking as I thought it would be. Cake was good and all the kids had fun. Will be heading home later today after visiting my BIL who is in a nursing home. We are taking him pizza and having lunch and then heading home. I cant wait to sit on my sofa. LOL. Peachie I am glad your team keeps winning. I know that gives you a lot of joy! Jude, I bet you are excited about your porch getting started this week. I am sure the guys are used to working in extreme weather conditions. Ginger, I am so glad you and Mr. G are surviving thru all the drinking. Glad you didn't fold and become one of them. Good Job! Hi Dill and Cowboy. I think I am too early for breakfast. Might have to check back. 24 more please and thank you.

Hope you hung around long enough to grab something to eat Rava, I see I just missed you. Sounds like the new furniture is a perfect fit! Glad you were able to make it through the party unscathed.

I like Italian as well Jude but unfortunately there's no Italian restaurants in Vegreville but Boston Pizza does offer a good selection of pasta items on their menu. I'll bet you'll be happy to see the construction crew show up tomorrow, have lots of cold water for them if it's going to be hot out, I'll bet they'll appreciate it.

I'm not sure if there are any Penn Station restaurants around here dill, possibly in the city, I'll have to do some checking into that.

I can't find anyway to change the order of the posts on the other site Ginger, I have it set to 25 posts per page, maybe making that smaller might help? Glad your visiting is going okay but I'll bet you'll also be glad when you're headed home.

You have to go to the last page when you click on the 24 hour club Peachie, then at the bottom you'll see the Quick Reply box just above the Chat Box. Hope I'm explaining it right.

We came home yesterday. Family wanted us to stay one more day but we both decided we'd had enough. Hubby asked me how I managed not drinking when it was just me staying sober. He was feeling my pain. Ha! Two nights was plenty. It's good to be home!

Thanks for breakfast, ABC! Greetings to everyone! I'll join you in another day of freedom.

Cowboy! You absolutely outdid yourself for our final brunch before moving to our new location! I'm sure gonna miss those Sunday morning spreads!

Jude, I actually do love Italian food! I was commenting on the quality of that particular restaurant's food offering. I was expecting it to be really good as I had several friends rave about it, but I think I could do a better job in my own kitchen. I did bring half of my meal home from the restaurant and had the second half of my chicken parm for dinner last night. I put just a very small portion of the spaghetti noodles on my plate and the chickens got the rest. Better them than me!! I'm using a similar strategy as you and have dropped 10lbs since Fetruary.

Peachie, glad you are getting more familiar with the WQD site before they turn out the lights over here. I'm SUPER excited about how well the Dockers are doing! It's fun to be following a winning team.

Ginger, glad you and Mr. G made it home safe and sound and that neither of you caved in. It sounds like the trip was very enlightening to Mr. G and gave him a new respect for your accomplishment.

Rava, I feel like you should have us all over for a sleepover on the new sectional!!

Mul, I have my fingers crossed that you will stop in before the end of June...

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.
