Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Evening Cafe. One more day to go! Feeling sad. Anyway I yakkity yakked on the new site tonight. Rava I really hope you'll come over too. It wouldn't be the same without you! You too Mul. And anyone else who used to post in the Cafe.

Going to be another wild and woolly day tomorrow. At least it stops my girls in their tracks going outside. They are both cosied up tonight in their beds, which is how I like it.

        Love to everyone.

In the last 24 hours, these friends have joined in for 24 hours of wellness:

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

We're finally out of our wet weather Peachie, will be glad to see some sun today!

Thanks for the help with posting on the other site Ginger, I've never tried that "Reply to topic" link, I learned something new as well lol. Glad you made it home safe and sound.

I'm thinking I'll carry on with Sunday morning breakfast/brunch/supper on the other site dill, I've been doing it for so long it wouldn't seem right to quit it now.

Have fun at the volunteer job Jude, I imagine you'll see some progress on the new addition when you get home.

Hope you had a good visit with the bil Rava and you made it home safe and sound.

Off to the farm today just to check on things and get out of the house for a bit. Will be nice to get some fresh air and exercise.

Good morning. I have to go back to find the site again and copy it. I definitely dont want to miss the address. Thanks you for the final breakfast Cowboy. This is kinda sad. All good things must come to an end I guess. Dill, a sleepover for the cafe would be funny. We are traveling hours to meet 6 of our florida neighbors for lunch at a halfway point. No drinking for me. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. 24 more please and thank you.

                  Good morning cafe!

Last post here and it makes me sad, but at least we can continue our friendship on the new site.

The construction crew weren't able to start yesterday but they will be here today. It's going to be brutally hot this week with temps in the upper 90's with lots of humidity. I feel bad for anyone that has to work outside in this weather especially when you're dressed in black like the Amish are.

I hope see everyone on the other side!

24 more for all of us please...

                    Afternoon Cafe.
As you all know, I've had losses in my life that have deeply affected me. It has made me super anxious about changes in my life. I know this change is ok as we will be able to post on another site.
I lead a fairly isolated life now, as many older people do, and it has been a joy to be accepted here after being too nervous to join MWO for a long time. You have all remembered my family's names, especially my gorgeous Ben, and listened to my grief and my stories. For this, I thank you all. It has been an absolute privilege to listen to your life stories too. The ups and downs and honesty.

Anyway I don't want to get morbid, as that is so not my style.
I also see that there are over 7,000 guests online at the moment. I hope this MWO site has helped some, a lot of you too. It certainly had its heyday. Some will have moved on in sobriety and some not. Never give up. Personally I know the difference, and although I still have a few every now and then, I know how destructive the darkness is.

Wishing you all the light in the world. Much love to all still struggling.

To all my mates here I'll see you on the other site.
                    Go the Dockers!!

Peachie, that was such a heartfelt farewell and I want to thank you for it.

We have been watching MWO membership decline for some time now and even though we all knew this day was inevitable, it is still coming as a shock. I am so grateful to this site and to all the support I have found here. Grateful that we can stay in touch at the WQD site too. I have had so much success at finding my freedom from alcohol because of this site and all of you here. Thank you.

                      Never, never, never give up!

I think I can safely speak for all of us Peachie when I say we are so happy you joined us! we all could use friends who understand the problems that brought us together.

Waves to all the gang, you truly are considered more than friends to me, more like family.

Wow, is this my last post on MWO? It's so hard to believe that it will be gone after today. I could write paragraphs on what you all mean to me and all the help you've given me over the years to become the person I am today. I'm glad we have the other site to keep in touch and continue our friendship that has become so important to me! Love you all!

Awww, you guys! These sentiments are so wonderful. Who would have thought our Cafe would become like home to all of us. Such an important place in our growth and journey.

You are all like family! I'll join you on the other "side".
