Can't say I ever had..........when I was pregnant with Jenny I used to be able to taste Gregg's cheese and onion pasty in the mornings.

Not unlike the weird tastes when pregnant. I suppose they are in your head too, or are they some chemical hormone messing up your head?

Have to share this..........its my in-law's 60th wedding anniversary on Saturday........they'll be getting a card from the Queen (every couple that manage to hang on 'til 60 years gets one ) and then after Mr JC and his sister are going to take them on a tour of where the courted, the church they married in, their first house and their old haunts when they first had children.

60 years is fantastic, wow. Isnt that a lovely thing to do, are they both fit and able, obviously?
I was in my 30s getting married, so god knows the state of my if we get to 60 years!

Ma-in-law is 91 next week...........full mental faculties but a bit frail.........actually a lot frail. Pa-in-law is 86.
Funny I'm 4 years older than Mr JC.
There's hope for us yet.

Must be.

I used to be able to smell strawberries as clear as anything.........funny I craved Turkish delight. cheese pasties and believe it or not the smell of green apples with Jenny but didn't crave anything but sleep with the S&H. That might have been because Jenny was only just over a year old when I fell pregnant again.

I wanted to eat coal & constantly sniffing firelighters ........
I ate oranges by the dozen. Just the skin though ... and left the flesh - normal stuff :haha:

Hi Satz...I didn't have pica when pregnant...coal...it must have been worrisome!

They say that pica in pregnancy is a result of a mineral and /or vitty deficiency...quite often, an lack of iron can be the cause. Coal in particular must be reported to the Dr/Midwife. I never came accross a pregnant mom craving coal, but sand and clay are common.

The baby of the coal craving era is now 44 years old.
I must away and feed Mr JC then lie on the settee and gawp at the TV for a while.
