He had to have no contact with us.......so he lived in the feckin garage. It was awful, his car would be parked outside sometimes and I was frightened to go home. Then after some time he moved into someone elses feckin garageOriginally posted by stirly-girly View PostI agree 100%. BUT, I still think that he needs to see examples of life without AL before his eyes in the hope that something will click.

What did the injunction do, Starts?

 Re: July Army Manoeuvres

Do you consider yourself an alkie or a problem drinker? Does Mr. Satz consider you an alkie? I remember Mr. Stirly on one of the rare occasions that he mentioned my drinking he said - "it's not like you're an alcoholic or anything!" Um, yeah, I am. That's why I drink so much and every night. He was in denial about it. I am not. I'm a recovering alcoholic. I cannot drink. Just wondering what Mr. Satz's take on you is........Originally posted by satz123 View PostStirls I hid it - 'till it wasn't hidden any more. He found a stack of bottles - let a few roars - but I just got more careful.
I eventually just stopped myself. July 2012.
Went to Australia in December and decided to drink for the holiday - the family hosted a drunken intervention - FFS !
Stopped again on return ..... back on again for holiday in June 2013 - home and off again - never to return to it as it just sickened me .......
I know Mr S harbours the idea that 'why can't she just drink when we go out' with regard to me and now probably with regard to young Satz. Drinking at home is for alkies

He drinks at home - somewhat moderately now - as he has no money.
He does not drink with friends - he is a lone drinker like us all.
If he has money he drinks to STUPIDITY.
So maybe MrS is not too far wrong about alkies drinking alone at home.

And to get the injunction, there must have been solid evidence against him. I'm so sorry you had to go through that.Originally posted by starty View PostHe had to have no contact with us.......so he lived in the feckin garage. Jaysus - 3 weeks? Didn't it hurt? Hope you're better and wishing you much patience with that cast. (I'd go at it with a saw to get it off. Besides an alkie I'm a raging claustrophobic and cannot bear any kind of restriction whatsoever!!)Originally posted by mollyka View PostHello! Back from A&E with hand in cast - ffs broken bone nigh on 3 weeks! Great convo! Sort of see all sides ( sitting on the wall i spose)

Starts - no child should have to go through things like that.
