Supposedly its good for an adult to watch Love Island with a young 'un. As we can tell them what a pile of crap it is.

:haha: cant stand it! Its that stuff that adds to the body dysphoria thats so prevalent (not just this generation). 2 of my kids are in their teens, boy & girl. I am so conscious of my girls in particular and how they perceive themselves, but honestly, with phones, youtube, constant validation, Im like an ashtray on a motorbike. The boy is completely happy in his skin. Nature or Nurture?

Had a lovely read back. I've missed you all. Nothing exciting going on here. Just trying to get used to not going to work everyday. Mom keeps me busy but not constantly busy. Luckily I have many projects to take care of here at home. Like going thru years of junk I've collected and getting rid of it. That will take me thru the first 5 years of retirement. LOL

Weekend at last here.
Just thought I'd check in before pulling the trigger on The Stranger. We're having a rainy weekend so that's perfect timing.
I see we're having some maintenance done this weekend (to the site) so we'll have to amuse ourselves.

Would you believe I've just spent an hour orderering flowers to my Aunt. Its her birthday on Sunday and we're at MIL's for her birthday. Trying to get through the Valentines bouquets was a nightmare...............I know, I know a very first world problem but it got to the stage when I couldn't remember my own name.

I know that since they've banned phones in some schools attendance and results (unfortunately its all about results these days) have gone up.It made me think about how many times I pick up my phone even when its just that I recognise someone on TV and have to search them down.

Off out for lunch with pal and her son who doesn't know when he'll get back to China. He teaches Maths & Science out there.

It the morrow we're shut.
My friend's son will not be going back to China in the near future. Couldn't help thinkng his students will be jumping for joy as there's no homework for weeks. Mind, love him as much as she does............. she's used to her own space and can't wait for him to go home......3 weeks is long enough.

I'll bet!! 3 weeks with any of mine I'd run away! Can you imagine what it's like for those poor people stuck on the cruise ship!

Enjoy your time off Although with two little people in the house that'll be 40 seconds.
I, on the other hand, will be drying out...................the settee. I've had another hot water bottle incident.
I didn't screw the stopper in properly........:eek-new:.......popped it on the settee, then went to feed Bess and its amazing just how far a kettle of water can go. We now have a very soggy settee.

Sorry been missing - was working and mother has a chest infection - which in her case is dangerous.
7 residents passed in work in January ... and in lock down with this year's flu virus.

Here - what yiz think of Phillip Schofield :egad:
I think my main thought is annoyance that his career came before honesty with his family with his wife of 27 years. Or maybe she knew ?
All very odd why/how you'd keep that a secret til you were 57 !!

I know a couple of women who have been married, had children, divorced and then married women. In fact one of my Aunts lived with a women with three children for 25 years.

Edit: Haven't really paid much attention to him since his Gordon the Gopher years. Our kids loved it.

And another edit. Gave up this morning after Richard & Judy left.

He can email them their homework and Zoom with them for questions.....just saying.

Piddling down here. Roof leaking because clogged with leaves form the drought. You just can't win. Morning spend with soppy towels.

Dog has gone to the groomers and I just hate it and want her back. SO shall pace a bit until that happens.

Trying to work out what international time the site is going down.
Nobody freak out OK? Lol.
