Re: International Army April 2020

2:45 a.m. Can't sleep. Slept from just before 10 to midnight, tossing and turning since then. Glad to see JackieClaire checked in. I was worried. You posted the Sunday shout out thread really early on Saturday and I thought something was up. Good that it's only yer lappie!!

God it was awful. I almost had a panic attack...

I know how I waxed lyrical the other day about shopping in Tesco - well this trip today was horrendous.
No restrictions on how many went in - people everywhere. No social distancing - Everything felt dirty I dunno what it was.
I felt my skin crawl as I was going around & I ran to the till after 10 minutes.
I'm amazed they don't have restrictions. Here there are floor markings at all the checkouts and for the most part, people adhere to them. Also, I noticed that in the aisles, people tend to keep a distance also. Mind you I only go to a really big store where they have self check-outs but generally, the shoppers stick to the regulations.

How hard is that ?
We all have a roof, a house - enough food ........ We have phones, Skype, video calls on WhatApp , Netflix etc.
We need to cop the feck on.
Well said, Satzy. Time for people to really take this seriously. What they don't get is the sooner this virus is stopped, the sooner we can get back to our normal lives. Not that things we be normal for a long time but that is not the point. This virus kills. Any age. Period. And you smart young asses who think you are invulnerable because of your age are the ones carrying the viruses to the older members of your family or friends. World leaders don't shut their country down for no reason FFS.

Still raining here. Gonna have to build an ark in my backyard if this keeps up....

Neither can I Stirls,

They've got that sticky chevron tape two metres apart at through out Tesco up north. Loads of stuff on the shelves. S&H was telling me they're doing the same at Lidl.

You queue with your trolley outside again two metres until a couple of beefy security guys let you in one door and you go out the other. Don't know about the gloves but they have sanitisers as all the tills. Not that I've been anywhere near them. Mr JC says its like a ghost town in Tesco.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Same here for all the shops, along with gloves and sprays etc but I think some shops get overwhelmed before they have time to react. No excuse though.

Thats a bit of a shock about Boris, he's had it for quite a while now.

Good luck this morning Molly! Could be something really interesting.

Morning and waves to the world.
Day 80012 of lockdown...........
If my tinterweb goes weird again I'll piggyback off next door.

The excitement of the day watching the birds drink out of the dog's outside water dish.

IamMary..........it started with the panic buying.......which in this house as the payday shop........then a sort of jumbled bunch of rules that changed by the hour and then it seems we have some kind of 'system'. Time will tell.

Wonder if the seagulls will be putting in a complaint to the local authority as our beaches are empty...............where are they going to steal their chips from????

Good morning still ok with staying at home as I have a garden and luckily priority for food delivery. Unluckily my elderly vulnerable neighbours are not in the category. So now I am shopping on line for 5 households!

Good news Satz on getting positive information about your mother.
I believe our Lidl is doing the right thing.

So Boris is really sick so sorry for him although he did say 80% of us need to catch it to gain herd immunity.

Hope everyone is coping?

Poor 'ol Boris - he's a likeable soul really. Loved his Dad then his sister in the Jungle. Good breeding and likeable too.

He'll know more than most now about the virus and will be immune .....

Dunno why they can't now isolate the anti-bodies created in the bodies of the immune and make it available to all ?
Bet the Chinese have that done ...

Did anyone see the video of the meat market in Wuhan where this strain was supposed to have originated. Thoroughly disgusting. Live dogs, cats, bats, rats & snakes all for sale for human consumption.
They think the virus crossed the animal / human divide like SARS from bats.

Evening everyone. Delighted you got some news about your Mom Satz. Very worrying time. Was at work today and very quiet. Trying to find stuff to do. Hope you happy with your posting Molly.

Thanks for the jokes Stirly, we all need a bit of humour. We have a what’s app group in crochet and some of the jokes are hilarious.

Hiya Techie. Sorry to hear about your challenges there mate.

Glad that your Mum is going OK Satz. At least info will be forthcoming now.

Thanks for the jokes Stirly!

haven't been out to the shops for days, but running out of sugar so I suppose I'll have to soon-ish. I'd rather take my risks in the garden centre. Can't stop gardening!!

Thanks for the oats chooks!! Might leave you a full English in it's place for your breaky.

I'm turning into one of these that runs out to get the wheelie bin as soon as it is empty. Bahaha.

Still this side of the turf.
Put all my cacti in the shower yesterday...........seemed easier to do that than to get all the surfaces in the house wet.............I have many. When Mr. JC comes out of his 'office' for lunch they'll be going out into the garden to get re-potted..............although its baltic out there it may have to wait.
