Satz should be doing the Rock lobster just about now! Dying to hear how they got on, I hope the rain held off, wasnt a bad day for most of it.

Zero plans for the morning, so if I wake up early, I will loose the plot.

You are slotting right back into this Ladies Who Lunch lifestyle pretty easily JackieClaire! no turning back now.

We watched a lovely movie based on Paul Potts this evening. He won the first Britains got talent show.

Well well! How is that wedding going? Is there a chicken dance to be had?

Covid cases just keep rising here. It's week stupid of hard lockdown and I'm bloody glad I like gardening so much.

There are the usual numpties who have decided that mask free protest is the way to go. That is definitely the way to stop the virus - they don't want it to be here ...

Then there are those who 'don't believe in Covid' despite the fact that we are many months into this gig. A bit like climate change see? It doesn't exist.:nutso:

So that's nice.

The only real positive is that the army is coming in again. Anything that provides more men in uniform to look at is a good one in my book.

I hope that everyone on a mini break is enjoying it! What's it like 'out there'?

If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Morning and waves to the underooos,
Make the non-vaccers, the covidiots do a few shifts on a covid hospital ward. Our neighbour's daughter is in her 16th week with it. She was actually one of the doctors in the intensive care unit and still not back to normal.

mollyka.......are you going to squeeze in another wee jaunt before you go back to work? Just had a thought for those cold winter nights you could write a tourist guide to Ireland.

This weekend apart from Pa-in-Law's official birthday party tomorrow we're moving as much as we can upstairs as the plasterer (please remind me several times a day he's called Keith, not Arthur) starts on Monday. We will be living in the back bedroom for the foreseeable future.

We did the 'big' shop late last night at Tesco's. Who knew that that the shelves were full. Obviously getting ready for the big Saturday morning rush.

I'd better crack on or I'll end up in an IKEA box.

Re: Army July 2021

Hello Army. I hope the Satzy bodacious wedding extravaganza was just wonderful.

In other news, I want to share an issue I’ve been reluctant to mention. Both my wife and I have been feeling off since we were vaccinated (Moderna) back in February/March. We did not connect the dots till recently. We both have some similar symptoms, I.e., brain fog, fatigue, and body aches. My wife has had intermittent sore throat. I often get nerve pain akin to a low level electric shock and headaches. We’ve looked into everything. We went on a candida diet, had our home checked for mold etc. to find no issues. Last week, I called a college friend who an internal medicine doctor in Dallas. He told me under strict confidentiality that his practice has seen folks with similar complaints. They have all been vaccinated. Yesterday we both went to our massage therapist who is an RN. She mentioned that the doctor she works for is seeing the same thing. She also said that she thinks we are experiencing symptoms that “Long Haulers” experience. These are folks who have Covid but it lingers in their bodies for months and months. We know a gal in her thirties from L.A. who is still suffering with debilitating symptoms going on a year. I mentioned this as I need to know if any of you have any strange symptoms since being vaccinated. I’m posting this not to frighten, but to share information about a problem that has had a tremendous impact on our quality of life. We have appointments with an integrative medicine specialist next week. We have both just had extensive lab work. Thank you xoxo

techie......ahh bonny lad. I know no one with similar symptoms.
Most of us in the UK have had the Oxford Astra Seneca. It comes in two jabs ................after the second I was unbelievably tired but it passed after a day or so. But Mr. JC had exactly the same as me and no problems at all.
My daughter just had her second Astra and felt tired and a just a bit out of sorts............nothing serious. She's coming here tomorrow for Granddad's birthday. My in-laws (both in their 90s) didn't have any side effects at all.
There are rumours going around that us over 60s will be getting a booster before Christmas.

I hope you find your answers.

techie, so sorry to hear that and thanks for sharing. Most of us got Pfizer here, a booster 4 weeks later and it does seem ok, tired for a day or so, same as JC. I wonder how many of these symptoms are being reported?
I am leaning towards holding off on the kids, just until the vaccines are fully FDA approved - its available for over 12s here now - but we have a v good uptake in the adult population.

Hope they nip delta in the bud quickly bridge.. when you said the Army, thought you meant us, I was getting excited!

Hope you got home safe & sound Molly.

Technically I should not be here - Hello August!
