Re: February Army Thread

Evening, or more like morning all, rough night, busy day, meeting tomorrow about PhD, first time seeing my supervisors since I screwed up the funding application so that's gonna be a fun hour. Its a zoom call though, planning to distract them with a guinea pig - I used to bring the boys to zoom classes so they know it's a possibility.

Satz - I came out to everyone, work, school, friends, everyone. No family because my father hasn't been around in 20 years, extended family suck and I haven't seen them in 6-7, and my mother and siblings are an abusive nightmare (two of them literally tried to kill me, separate occasions haha), not seen any of them in five. Changed my name, job and address to get away.

Re: February Army Thread

Morning all!

Well its been a traumatic week with having workmen in the garden and the associated mess! Its beginning to look amazing though and should be finished today. The poor dogs have had had to negotiate tools, sand and all manner of obstacles to get to their toileting spot and they are certainly not amused but they've been very good....apart from when they ran out the open gate to chase a neighbours cat and ended up over the road in their garden :egad: no harm done fortunately just a bit of heart failure from moi and Mr S.

Went out for a lovely meal for Mr S birthday yesterday and having a Caribbean meal with the neighbours tonight, then off to a talk about Lancasters on Sunday! He is really making the most of his "day" :haha:

Inchy, it sounds like you have had such a difficult time with so many aspects of life. I bet we can all point to some trauma in childhood as the route cause of our addictions and coping mechanisms.

So sorry Max was poorly Molls. I do hope he's better now?

Off for a 7 mile stomp round the countryside shortly. That will certainly blow away any residual stressy cobwebs!

Oh no, poor Max. Is it twisted gut, that happens in big dogs. Keeping everything crossed. Always something.

Glad your garden coming along Starty. Will be perfect in the fine weather, you will be able to sit out and enjoy it. Bet you will be glad to see the end of the workmen. Enjoy your walk.

Just back from mine and about to go to crochet class.

OMG I am so sorry Molls. I will say a little prayer for him and send some healing thoughts. They are so resilient I hope that they can sort him. I have heard many stories of surgery for blocked bowel and the dogs have recovered well. Do you know what he ate? Please let us know how he does and I have everything crossed for him xxx

Hey all. Sorry Mia. Loads of car stuff, like rusters. Himself has had a few tips, not all his fault but cost a fortune. Worried about his spacial awareness tbh.

Thinking about you today Molly. Post up when you hear more

starty, Garden sounds amazing! Lovely to get it done coming into the spring!

Inchy, your amazing! What you've been through and your determination today.
So your family couldn't find you even if they tried? Do they know your trans?

Sitting in a car wash waiting my turn, I rarely do this and now I know why!

Hi folks -- sorry --- well it's really not good news... she operated yesterday and he seemed to be coming around a bit this morning but she just rang a few mins ago to say she thinks something else is wedged in his large intestine and it can't be operated on because of where it is... so..... she's given him a humungous enema in the hope that it'll be dislodged - other than that it sounds like there's nothing else they can do... she's a tip top vet we've been told so not a lack of ability -- it's very sad -- but who knows.... just maybe..... bugger
