I've an app on Wed to see an Neurologist with Mr M. I'm absolutely dreading it. Tests all done, but his symptoms are not gone. Very subtle, but its not nothing. Maybe it won't be as bad as I'm imagining..

Come over ladies! Sort me out please ! :haha: I have seen some striped roman blinds that I like (pewter colour stripe and oatmeal background) Thinking I cannot go wrong with that for landing.....Also, when you do one thing, everything else needs doing and I get overwhelmed.

Consultant appts are so bloody scary Mary. What are his symptoms? I think/hope you will be reassured rather than scared. The worst thing in the world is not knowing and letting our imaginations run wild. We have Mr S consultant appt on Weds too. Praying that there is no change in his bloods. This getting older is not a walk in the park but it does make us realise how strong we are. Best of luck for Weds Mary and let us know how he goes. x

Growing old is definitely not for the faint hearted. Good luck Starty and Mary with the consultant visits tomorrow. The waiting is the worst. I had the second mammograb and thankfully got the all clear.

I?m like you with the decorating, get overwhelmed and then daughter starts throwing her oar in and then I just zone out. She?s not getting to even have an opinion about the cottage.

Belated happy birthday JC, where are you these days? Waves to everyone else.

I love roman blinds too. You can get them electronic now, to encourage a more sedentary lifestyle!!

Good luck tomorrow too [MENTION=22456]starty[/MENTION]. Unfortunately i think symptoms here all point to one thing (said the Google neurologist), but will know more tomorrow. Won't tempt faith typing them out, if there's such a thing.


Its my nct that is way out.. I need to to sort it out but I need a new bumper and thats1500 to fix as well as another new part. So 2k before i can nct.. yay!

Our NCT was nearly a year overdue Mary and we did it last December...they gave us an extra year in it...was delighted cos the car is nearly 16 years old!

Bummer Satz but hopefully you will get it sorted. Thinking of both Mary and Starty today. There is always something, I?m off to the Mater with daughter in the morning for 7.30 am appointment. Not sure what?s going on, was just told she had the appointment. I offered to drive as it takes away stress of parking.

Have work lunch today for girl who is leaving. She?s not being replaced and they think myself and the girl I job share with are going to do the job as well as reception. Hmmm we will see how that goes. You can only physically do so much in two days.

Good morning all. I am off to Stanford today to see oncology team for follow up. The best part will be seeing 15 month old granddaughter in San Jose as well. Have a great rest of you day. Remember, whether it is not feeling well or the car needs attention, it is only temporary. Blessings x

Hope all those of you having consultant visits got the answers you were hoping for and if not we are here if you need to vent or get it down in writing.

Speaking of consultants I am sitting here in the car waiting for daughter and then it is off to do stuff with the ponies. Hope to get a walk in at some stage.

Morning all, consultant was good. Numbers slightly up from Jan but not as high as last September so thankful for that

Mary, I hope your visit was OK and you got the answers you needed.

Doing stuff with ponies and dog walking sounds perfect Rustop! Enjoy. We have lovely weather today although a bit chilly and have already been out for a few miles with one of the dogs. Met a lady and wandered round the reservoir putting the world to rights which was nice.

Totally agree Satz, not ready to give up and stay home all the time yet! This lady has saved me a lot of money too! She's very savvy with money and sends me offers and ideas for money saving ideas and literally saved me loads Our morning chats are very productive

oh bless him --- beyond delusional -- I remember WANTING to think I was grand -- just the craic at the weekends - what harm -- every tool to escape the inevitable examined - I s'pose councillors in treatment centres deal with that all the time - but there's a reason I couldn't/wouldn't be one ---- couldn't have the patience! He will get it I s'pose -- the question being - will he get it before he hits a very painful rock bottom.... it's sometimes hard to remember what we have done... it's not easy for many --- it's all TIMING imo --- catch someone at the RIGHT moment -- and grab it.... but unfortunately it's sometimes unobtainable --- the lad on the plane to Spain -- he's in a shocking state... he's being enabled by a very sizeable work pension sadly.... his family have completely disowned him and frankly I can't see any reason for him to quit...
