Does anyone have any advice on obtaining Baclofen pills in Canada without a prescription? I have seen Canadian research chemical companies, where it can be ordered as a powder. I'm not sure how I would dose it if I went this route.
I started taking naltrexone about 2 years ago. It may have helped somewhat, but I still ended up drinking on it. I stopped the nal about a year ago. Recently, I have had a few lapses. I contacted the clinic where I was prescribed the naltrexone, hoping to see the doc to discuss trying baclofen instead. However, they said that an anti-craving medication isn't indicated at this time, and suggested counselling for relapse prevention. I guess becuase my pattern of drinking has been one occasion, 6-8 drinks, every 2 months or so. That would be fine, if I thought I could maintain that pattern, but based on 25 years of history I am worried about the relapses becoming more frequent ending in complete loss of control. I'm hoping if I can start the baclofen on my own, then I can try again with the clinic.
I have ordered Dr. Ameisen's book, which should arrive this week. Any advice is appreciated.
